I wanted to give Michelle my belated thanks for a job well done (has been a very busy week personally and professionally). If not for you and the rest of the Bloggers out there we would never have heard of this mess. The MSM did a great job of trying to cover for our slimy politicians. Your dedicated reporting kept all of use informed of this sneak attack on American sovereignty. I really have a reason to celebrate the “4th of July” this year.

The job is not finished.
There's quite a buzz about how the defeat of the Immigration Reform bill will ultimately prove to be the undoing of the Republican party. The theory being that the Republican party needs the Latino vote. And, now that the bill has been defeated, largely by Republicans, that there is no longer a snowball's chance in hell that they are going to get that Latino vote. It is a valid warning.

The grassroot efforts to kill this bill was a beautiful thing to witness. However, the same amount of effort needs to be poured into the upcoming elections. If every American that participated in the effort to kill the bill would also take on the responsibility of not only making a committment to vote but, to also seriously urge other conservative friends to do so, we can possibly neutralize the threat posed by those who advocate open borders. We need to reward and attempt to protect those senators that put their career concerns to the side in favor of the will of their constituents.

People, target friends, family members, work associates, etc. who you know normally do not vote and pursuade them to vote this year. Malkin and other bloggers could help such an effort by posting basic information such as how to register and by keeping a list of senators who did the right thing and those who let us down.

Thank you for that clarification..."THE DREAM ACT". I couldn't remember the title of this nightmare act.

I still predict an internal/external civil war....us against THEM. We collectively can DREAM of ways to avoid paying money to an unethical government.

If they can entertain the idea of "hiding from police" for five years, then we should hide from the IRS.

Gayle - the issue you're talking about that Dick Morris raised had to do with the Dream Act, sponsored by the House.

I believe he said the Hillary supports it. Info on the act can be found here:
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.5131:

The part he referred to is in section 4, and it states that if someone enters this country illegally prior to age 16 ( so these teenagers running across the border would be included ) - and they have been here for 5 years ( without being caught ) and they haven't committed a crime, then the DHS can change their status from deportable to legal immigrant.

So, in essence, his comment on TV about being in the country for 5 years, if you're not caught, you'd get amnesty, is correct. According to this portion of the Dream Act, you have to have been under 16 at the beginning of those 5 years.

This Act also allows states to give these illegals in-state tuition rates.

They just don't get it.... If they focused all this attention on LEGAL US citizens and enforcing our sovereignty ....they may have a higher approval rating than 18%.

Scary day's are here..... Kennedy raisng his voice saying "this is what the Ameican people want" flat out lying, they watch the polls constantly he knew what America wanted. Voinovich on Hannity coming off as a complete Imbucile and Reids Tommy Tomale imaginary friend story. Senators holding off on their vote with Brownback flipping during the vote. This issue woke up alot of people myself included as to the ineptitude of the Senator's currently in office.

From what I have heard, the Dems really did not want this to pass.

The mission was to divide the Republican base, and it has happened.

Secretively their plot is to eliminate the Conservative base and to rule over all of us.

I also heard, according to Dick Morris, that if Hillary is elected, within a couple of years, all illegals will be legal with no action taken through the Senate. (paraphrasing, correct me if I am wrong).

SCARY days ahead folks. This is NOT over yet.
She will just order it to be done.
