London’s Dhimmi mayor: Red Ken is at it again
This will come as no surprise to those who follow London politics: “London mayor defends Muslims as bomb plot foiled.”
London Mayor Ken Livingstone called on Britons Saturday not to demonize Muslims after a double car bomb plot was foiled in the capital, amid fears of a Islamist terror threat…”In this city, Muslims are more likely to be law-abiding than non-Muslims and less likely to support the use of violence to achieve political ends than non-Muslims,” he told BBC Radio. “They have played a good and active and growing role in creating a multi-cultural society,” he added.
Livingstone is known as “Red Ken” and “Ken Leninspart” for his far Left, jihadi apologist views. As I noted two years ago during the 7/7 London bombings aftermath, Livingstone was a staunch defender of one of the Islamists’ top, suicide bomb-advocating clerics. Livingstone welcomed Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi to London in 2004 for a radical Muslim conference and condemned those who protested as bigots. Read his apologia for al Qaradawi here. Under Livingstone’s watch, London has become a festering swamp for active jihadis and their support system.

Waiting for the Parades Against Violence from “Moderate” Muslims”
Why does Mayor Livingstone think it’s his role to defend a community that hasn’t peeped squat about any of these attacks? I have been GREATLY disturbed since before 9/11 by the virtual silence of the greater Muslim communities both here and abroad. For a people whose countries we liberated from tyrants I expected PARADES of thank-yous from Islamic communities in Detriot and New Jersey that never came. I’m especially dismayed by the lack of gratitude by Islamic women for our actions over there freeing them from caveman-type religious zealots. We have to seriously reflect the ramifications of their unwillingness to express outrage at terrorist violence and any gratitude for our shedding blood to liberate their homelands.

Exactly why would Mayor Livingstone take such a stand? Has political correctness gone that mad; does he view radical Muslims as some sort of power base for his political future? If so, that would be like trying to ride the back of tiger!

Definitely active. Good? Not so much. The growing part might be debatable if the martyrdom rate exceeds the birth rate.
Britain, as is most of Europe, is lost.
Political Correctness and socialism are now so entrenched in the day to day life of that once proud people that it would not surprise me to see some of them defend the “rights” of the terrorists to blow up things as it is considered part of their religion.
On the face of it, sure, the average Muslim in Britain is not the threat. But obviously there is some undetermined number of British Muslims who are, and they use the rest of their community as living shields. They show contempt for their fellow Muslims insofar as they don’t embrace radical Islam. What I’d love to see is someone come up with a plan for dealing with this threat without curtailing civil liberties. Red Ken’s open invitation to the worst and most dangerous, sharia-demanding elements of Islam is the wrong answer, but about what you’d expect from a left wing nut.

Unity is far better than “multiculturalism.” They preach “multiculturalism” so much in the schools in Europe and here that many don’t even know what these definitions mean.
A “multiracial” society is positive, as long as there is unity in appreciation of capitalism, Christianity, and the West.
A “multicultural” society is the opposite. It is divisive and has never succeeded anywhere in history. So it is not surprising Leftists preach it constantly. It is the best way to destroy capitalism and our Western heritage they so hate.
Multiculturalism is a disease. The Islamic world understands this. Unfortunately, the rest of us apparently do not.
I agree that a multi-racial society is desirable(I am of mixed heritage….Korean and European it says on my birth certificate). I was adopted by a Marine and his wife at Pusan in 1950. That said, Americans cannot afford to allow our culture to die on the altar of the PC loons.
The left will never understand that some cultures simply deserve to die. On second thought, maybe they do understand. After all, they have been trying to destroy AMERICAN culture for years.

In my opinion, the videos should be shown every single day - would that scare children more than the phony threat of global warming being forced on them?

The funny part about the article is that it mentions the I.R.A. bombings. The I.R.A. are ironically a marxist organization. Maybe Red Ken sides with the Muslims because he remembers the good old days…

We have sophomoric name calling “Dhimmi” (implying that he’s a member of the US Democratic party) and “red Ken” (implying that he’s a Soviet style Communist). The comment thread does Malkin one better, essentially saying the only good Muslim is a dead one. The whole thing is dripping in Christian virtue. Telling the truth is not demonizing.
Ken made a couple of assertions with no evidence to back them up. On the contrary, we know that a substantial portion of the Muslim community in the UK (and elsewhere) beleves that terrorist attacks like those of the past few days can be just.
The mayor using soviet style Communist tactics, by attacking the “right wing” to distract people from seeing how bad the problem in London is and to protect his allies who helped get him elected. Hate crimes against Jews and Homosexuals are up, Londoners are calling for Salman Rushdie to be put to death and now car bomb attacks.
I’m not a Christian myself, so I’m not pretending to have Christian virtues when I say the only good Muslim is one who respects western civilization, doesn’t support violent Jihad and stands shoulder to shoulder with us in condeming these attacks.

All this focus on a supposed “backlash” is a distraction from the real issue, which is Islamic terror.
If there were to be a “backlash”, then it’s presence implies a problem that is being lashed back at. So, you cannot cry about a backlash and then say there is no threat, because no threat, no backlash.
The threat does exist. And a backlash is well deserved against violent, intolerant extremists. What all this fear of a “backlash” tells me is leftists do not want to resist when it’s called for.
The real threat to leftist fools is a free society reacting to deliberate provocation from totalitarian killers.
