With statements like that, it is extremely disappointing to find out that the person who speaks ill of the Bible in such a manner has been entrusted with moderating the posts here. Is there some difference I am not aware of in Ms. Malkin’s public comments versus her private views? It just seems strange to me that someone who took the controversial position on internment would not tolerate much more moderate views expressed in this comment thread.

I for one was highly offended by the above referenced comment regarding the Bible. Anyone trying to defend their view of islam by trashing the Bible is lacking in character, maturity and substance.

Mr. Moran’s views, his open threats and use of perjoritive terms to describe people with whom he does not agree, do not reflect highly on this site.

I am not an expert on Islam, but you infer that you are, so, what are your credentials? And no one asked to to display your knowledge by taking anything out of context. In fact, in-context would be nice. But give us facts if you want to impress us that you know more than we do.

As far as moderator, please do not threaten to censure those with whom you disagree. It seems immoderate.

Several already have been and I will be especially vigilant about you going too far.

I grew up in Malaysia. It’s a Muslim country, quite often billed as one of the most progressive Muslim countries around. However, I know first hand what kind of oppression people hand out in the name of Islam, even in a country where slightly more than 50% are Muslim. But then, why should you believe some anonymous schmuck on the interweb. Find yourself a Malaysian-born Chinese and ask them to tell you what life is like in “boleh land”.

It’s a sign that you’ve seceded the argument when you resort to name calling. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised by the defeatist attitude you and your kind exhibit.
