How in the world can Western civilization ever defeat an enemy that they refuse to properly identify? It is not a “War on Terror.” Terror is a tactic, not a target. It is a global war with radical Islamic fundamentalists. It is a war against an extremist form of religion, against a belief, against an ideology. The attackers believe they are fighting a jihad, or armed struggle, against any and all infidels. The West needs to wake up and realize that and quit playing the political correctness game.

To neglect to mention these very basic things completely ignores the driving force behind the terrorists themselves. It is pure whitewashing and ignoring the root causes. It is fear and pandering and nothing more.

For every other crime committed one primary aspect of understanding and reporting the crime (especially murder) is ‘motive’. It is amazing to me that in the face of the killers’ words and the ideology that they ascribe to the MOTIVE is obvious. But that motive can’t be mentioned because it would ‘offend’.

Islam is a cancer. I believe in freedom of religion and certainly don’t expect to FORCE people to believe the Christianity I believe (because I know I could be wrong though I don’t believe I am). However, if a religion is based on the belief that all other religions must be forcibly subdued and are inferior, then that religion must be banned – even in a society with freedom of religion. Not banned out of ‘hate’, but banned out of defense and security of freedom and liberty of the society.

It isn’t the people that are a problem (that would be ‘hate’), it is the ideology. The ideology is the motive. So it should be fair game to report as such and include that RELIGION is the motive of these criminals.

As someone who has lived a majority of his life in a Muslim country, I agree with what you’ve said.
