"White people oppressing minorites is the meaning of discrimination or racism in this country .Now you can open your books and look up the word reverse ."

No. Discrimination and racism have the same meaning regardless of which country you live in. Pretending otherwise is just that. . .pretend. Open up your own book, say, Merriam Webster. Tell me what part of the definition of discrimination or racism mentions that they only come from white folks.

Put down the dictionaries? Sure. We'll all talk in a language where all terms have mutable meanings, and thus, mean NOTHING.

All,

This is the USA a Republic our form of Govt is Democracy, politically correct speech, belongs to Socialist Culture not ours. I can't be the only one who read George Orwell.

If cleaning up the American Airwaves means Censoring any Americans and the alternative is Freedom of Expression and Dirty, Put me down for Dirty. The USA is not Utopia not Shangrila. Democracy is messy no one said it was perfect, no one said it should be. The form of Govt we have is Majority Rule with Minority Protection. This being the case who asked a segment of America to clean up the American Airwaves? I didn't and who gets to decide what is offensive and what isn't?

This is all political, there is a Presidential Election coming up and there is a movement, that is trying to control the medium and in turn the message, under what guise? We know what is best for you. Where have I heard that before?

Show me any other country where people of any color are as rich, as they are here.

But the man is holding me down, does not fly anymore with me. Justice Thomas, General Powell, Secertary of State Condi Rice come to mind as an example America is the GREATEST country in all of history of this world.

Now, secure the southern border, and deport hateful Imams.

DarkKnight,

First, congrats to you and Myra. Although my comment was tongue-in-cheek, I'll address any further inquires for her, to you.

Second, The rest of what you wrote has been done and re-done too many times. You won't speak on behalf of millions? Fair enough. But if that's the case, you don't get to pick out an isolated incident, and provide that as proof of a more global, ever-present wrongdoing.

The correct answer: we want the opportunity to make of ourselves whatever we will. Fireworks! You have that and more. Best of luck to you and yours in your perpetual victimhood. You overplayed your one card. Nobody really cares anymore. You'll get what you want to hear from the libs, you'll "organize" and riot, and stay right where you are. Peace out bro...

JWS,

Myra was using "sorry" as a figure of speech. She was not apologizing.

One of my biggest aggrevations is when people ask me or anyone else of color to speak on behalf of millions of people who share my ethnicity. But, I will try my best. I don't think that African Americans are looking for reparations or handouts. Government assistance abuse happens in black and white alike. But I will say that many African Americans want equality. They want to be paid the same regardless of their skin color. They do not want to be singled out in public due to their ethnicity. There was a great article in a newspaper about an African American columnist who was on his way to work in a suit and tie driving an Escalade in a almost entirely white neighborhood. He was stopped by a policeman who said that he may have fit the description of an armed robber. Once the police realized it wasn't him, they let him go. The description was of a black man in a tank top and jeans who drove away in a sedan. But he was essentially stopped because the robber was black and he was black. That is not equality. African Americans push for equal opportunities in elementary and high schools. Many inner city youth (all black people are not relagated to the inner city) are not given the same access to college-prep classes or AP classes that are needed to be successsful in college as their suburban counterparts. So if they do make it to college (I have seen people told that college is just not an option), many of them are unable to achieve the standard of excellence of other college students who have been prepared for the transistion. African Americans want to be able to move into neighborhoods without having to see "For Sale" signs pop up because of land owners afraid of their property value going down.

There is so much more to write, but I guess I feel that society has a lot of issues that it is dealing with in the post-civil rights movement. African Americans need to equally hold themselves to a higher standard in order to lift themselves higher. This is happening and will continue to happen. But the first step to getting over a problem is admitting there is a problem in the first place.
