Fortunately for us, the far left moonbats are for the most part all talk and no action. This one nutjob is a notable exception.

Course they do control many of the colleges, they infest our schools and you cannot find too many truly right wing News Anchors. Lets not get to the left wing judges, the left wing aclu and the rest of the folks who don’t care whether they appear brave or not they just want to win.

I’d like to post emjem24′s comment on every lefty website in America. They really don’t have a clue that their over the top, exaggerated criticisms of the war and the military have wide ranging consequences. There are people out there who actually believe their over-hyped rhetoric and are crazy enough to act on it.

And why didn’t the article mention the reason for the attack? Has that become irrelevant? You can bet if the victim was an anti-war protestor and the perp was a hawk, it would be mentioned in the first paragraph.

As an Air Force spouse myself, I would like to add my prayers for the airman’s recovery. I’m not surprised at what certain anti-war freaks will do to our military men and women. They say they support our military but this is what they mean….”we’ll love them at a distance but if we have the opportunity we’ll take them out.” As a gun owner myself, if any of these freaks came near me, they’d be the one with the bullet through the heart. I also agree with a fellow poster that the so-called peace activists are nothing more than anarchists (a word I would describe for Cindy Sheehan and far-left zombies like Pelosi, Kennedy, and the like). I would even describe much of Hollywood/the media in the anarchist category. Many military men/women and their families try to lead ordinary lives while fighting for this country to get this sort of treatment and I wish it would just stop. Stop with the threats, stop with the local job discrimination of military spouses, stop the mistreatment of their children in public schools. That’s what these bozos can do for peace.

Actually, hasn’t there been violence at some of these “Peace” rallies, at least from the purported anarchists? Liberals seem to support violence as long as it advances their cause and doesn’t put them in danger. That’s why they love Chavez, Castro, the Mullahs, etc. However, they eschew weapons (too violent) for themselves, unless a bodyguard is lugging it, so its hard to follow Castro’s and Chavez’ example as their opponents believe in the right to bear arms.

I have to back Zeroangel’s play here. This is the logical end state of the “bizzaro world” rhetoric that the left is engaged in. If this is where they are going, it is critical for us to recognize the threat and be prepared. Understanding the path that your enemy takes to reach conflict with you is absolutely necessary to an intelligent response. Logic doesn’t change, only the factors considered.
I hate their ideology and am fully prepared to answer in kind, if they want to take it to this new level but calling them monsters in blog comments will do nothing to stop them. Analyzing and preparing will.

I don’t care and don’t need to know whether he was psychotic, a moonbat extremist or just misunderstood.

Here’s the thing, I DO care. I care because it begs the quesiton to what extent is unhinged, leftwing views as a whole responsible?

Could PierreLegrand have a point and is it possible that at some point in the future we would be faced with large numbers of left-wing insurgents within our own country?

I don’t think it’s anywhere near that bad especially since josetheguerilla is dead on when he says:

Don’t let these people scare you, they are cowards. You want proof? He shot himself afterwards.

However, I DO think there is a big problem with irresponsible rhetoric and not to mention, professors like Deb Frisch poisoning the minds of our students.

MM references Patrick Poole at The American Thinker in her first blog entry about this story. I will quote him again because it is relative to what I am saying:

Predictably, a law enforcement spokesman says that Marren’s suicide notes “were indicative of an individual suffering from mental-health problems”, but that raises the question of how anyone could identify anyone suffering from mental-health problems amidst those devoted to bizarre conspiracy theories and the virulent anti-Americanism of the antiwar movement. If anything, Marren would have fit right in unnoticed.
