The thing that stands out about her is that her rampage DID NOT NEED TO HAVE HAPPENED. She was a known mental patient. The cops knew she had two guns.

Her doctor knew she had guns. Her parents knew she had guns, and NOBODY did anything to stop her from retaining her guns.

The local cops knew she was not just a mental patient but was actively threatening to kill people in northern Illinios, Wisconsin, and in Arizona
– and did nothing. She even attempted to kill her ex husband by stabbing him with an ice pick in the chest.

The States Attorney of Cook County (then Richard M. Daley, current Mayor of Chicago) knew about all of this and did nothing. HE REFUSED TO PROSECUTE. Daley, one of the country’s most vicious gun grabbers let her go instead of prosecuting her.

Likewise, the States attorney of Lake County, IL, knew of her behavior and did nothing.

The only government official that acted was the US Attorney in Phoenix because Dann was phone harassing an Arizona resident who complained.
Unfortunately, she went on her rampage before the FBI could arrest her.

So, because local officials did NOT DO THEIR JOBS, Dann was allowed to go on a shooting rampage in a school, resulting in the shooting of several people (a child was killed) including Dan Kotowski.

Dann single-handedly turned a pissant zero Kotowski into a “Victim” and empowered a dedicated gun grabber.

Kotowski went on to create a gun control organization that has been very vocal in its goal to ban ALL FIREARM OWNERSHIP. They have been unsuccessful, so Kotowski ran for state senator and won. He has submitted several gun grabbing bills and is trying for a major push right now to ban almost all firearms; that’s the bill being considered in the special session.

He is the most dangerous man in politics for gun owners right now.

I live not far from IL in a bordering state. Due to their firearms laws, I avoid traveling in the state as it is a major hassle to secure my concealed carry weapon in a manner assured to pass muster with the variably interpreted IL firearm transportation laws. On at least 3 occasions this summer so far groups of my friends have opted to go to wineries and camping in states other than IL due to their draconian firearms laws (most of my friends conceal carry). How many millions does IL lose when potential tourists make these decisions?
Sadly, the IL legislature is utterly controlled by Chicago and it’s suburbs. There aren’t enough votes from the remaining counties to vote down their stupidity. It is a sad state of affairs (pun intended).

And Rick is correct, Blagojevich is a true democrap. That guy is so crooked they’ll have to screw him in the ground when he dies…

Pathetic. And the guy has a majority Dem legislature and can’t get his budget through because it’s so packed with goodies for interest groups that he’s shortchanged the schools as well as transportation and health care.

I think Hillary ought to pick him for her Veep. They make a great looking couple, don’t ya think?
