Cindy Sheehan kicked off Daily Kos: “I know a lot of you are hostile towards my candidacy.”
The Daily Kos is revoking Cindy Sheehan’s posting privileges for launching her independent challenge to Dem House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. So long, farewell, adieu:
I can’t post here anymore because my potential run for Congress
is not on the Democratic ticket.I have been deeply grateful for all of your support over the years. Your love and kindness helped me through lots of sleepless nights at Camp Casey ‘05.
If Speaker Pelosi does her constitutionally mandated duty and I don’t run, then I can come back and post…
Hat tip: Allah, who has more.
LGF notes that some of the Kos Kids aren’t taking too kindly to St. Cindy’s “I’m doing it for your kids” line.
Looks like commenters also tried to rate Sheehan’s post a “troll diary.”

A sample from the dKos comments:
“Brother Dave” - “From a supremely moral position to a self absorbed independent candidate seems a tragic way to honor Casey and fight for others. Since the diary title starts with the Word “I” it obvious what Cindy is now all about.
“Mayan:” - “My initial thought is that I don’t need anyone telling me what is good for my children and grandchildren…Particularly those embarking on what I consider to be foolhardy and VERY divisive tactics during a time that we should be seeking ways to come together. I get enough in loco parentis stuff from Dick Cheney and George Bush.”
“Cacamp” - “Celebrity is like dope and she’s hooked on the spotlight.”
Musing85 - “I just love how Cindy Sheehan and all her supporters on this site continue to promote this false dilemma that you’re either with Cindy in her quixotic attempt to remain relevant or else you’re supporting Bush. The clue phone is ringing: I suggest you pick it up.”

Meanwhile, the “Draft Gore” campaign has delivered a petition with a reported 100,000-plus signatures to Big Al. John Kerry says he’d be a “credible candidate.”
Like he would know…

On a related note: Hillary’s going to the nutroots Yearly Kos convention. That is going to be quite a scene. Flashback to last year’s convention:

Cindy- Get used to being thrown overboard!
Sorry Cindy, thats what happens to tools. New ones are purchased when the old ones stop working the way they used to.
I knew when she first hit the scene that she would be used abused and then thrown away and at first I felt sorry for her, that changed when she started believing her “star power” trip. She has now learned what most critical thinking people learn early on, that politics is brutal and unforgiving and cruel and whether you love or hate politicians they do have the cahunas to play it out, she did not.
See ya!
One more time, Cindy. I am sorry your son died. He was a hero. But he not only voluntarily enlisted, he re-enlisted.
Get over yourself and let Casey rest in peace.
I see the lefty trolls are upholding their highly touted defense of free speech again. sigh. they’re so predictable its not even fun anymore.
Wow, some of the Kos Kids actually seeing what we already knew for two years. Cindy Sheehan’s son is a hero. Cindy Sheehan, herself, needs to get professional help. I am not saying this to make fun of her. She needs to seriously sit down with a professional and work out whatever issues she has. This isn’t about her personal views on the war, but rather her unusual behavior. Call me a compassionate conservative I suppose (although, I am sure she would call me a warmonger…go figure
)
Yet this turd most likely supports democrats and their cradle-to-grave, nanny-state policies, not to mention suckling at the public teat. A liberals’ entire life is to gain power, so that they can tell you how to live your life, and the lives of your children/grandchildren, but not their own.
These people don’t even realize that what they’re saying is contrary to their beliefs.
I’m surprised they haven’t branded him or her a troll, and banished his koskids account for espousing conservative beliefs.
“Since the diary title starts with the Word “I” it obvious what Cindy is now all about.”
“I” is what Cindy has always been about. It was never about Casey, but about Cindy’s politics. This is just another way to keep getting the attendion she so desperately needs. She is one sick woman who needs help.
Cindy was always all about the “I”. It is her pathetic need to be in the spotlight that put her at camp casey in 05 in the first place. This whole sequence of Sheehan events is some how tied to her ‘grieving process’ and this should have been the first clue to how pathetically sick she is, but not so the nutroots. They have decided now that she is running for Congress she is just an attention getter. yeah..
that’s what they get for not listening to us conservatives…we knew all along..
I’m with reppac122
I can’t imagine what the death of a son would be like. At first it must have seemed like love and support to have the MSM follow you around, but then they go home, and it must be lonely. I too would suggest professional help, not to make fun, but so life will be better.
RIP Casey - you are an American hero, and true Peace for your mom.
I remember when Latoya Jackson was on the outs with the rest of the Jackson family for erratic behavior. David Spade on SNL observed: “Can you imagine how screwed up you’d have to be to be known as the crazy Jackson?”
There’s a parallel here somewhere.
What is the “Daily Kos”?
Who cairs!
Is there anyone more pitiful then this silly woman? She was a ridiculous talking head for the wacky left and now she’s just ridiculous. Didn’t her husband leave her the minute she started this nonsense? Smart guy, he got out when he could.
I like their quote about it (which has now been pulled…):
Sounds like what the right has been saying since day one.
Gotta love those crazy Kos kids….
This one brought me to tears:
“My initial thought is that I don’t need anyone telling me what is good for my children and Grandchildren … ”
That’s a hoot coming from a Democrat Liberal - the party that constantly is telling you what is good for you / your kids / and everyone else.
ohhhhhh i get it… Sheehag spews venom all day at the politicians, swearing they are the worst people ever. Now she wants to become one.
St. Cindy- here’s your cake, but you cant eat it.
Yep. I am really PO’d at the waste of coffee through my nose from laughing at that statement for the 10th time. I LOL every time I read it and waste more coffee and get more PO’d…..
The libbs are getting a taste of their own medicine. They want to create this moonbat culture, and it turns against them. Do you think the whack jobs are going to vote for Hillary? They want Hugo and Cindy.
Beat you to it in #8! ;^)
“Brother Dave” - “From a supremely moral position to a self absorbed independent candidate seems a tragic way to honor Casey and fight for others. Since the diary title starts with the Word “I” it obvious what Cindy is now all about”
Shouldn’t that be the other way around?
From a self absorbed position to a supremely moral independent candidate … … … ?
At least that would make more sense anyway.
Cindy Sheehan is and always will be a Gold Star mother. This entitles her and any Gold Star family a little leeway IMO. It does not entitle her to mass news coverage over every thing that she spouts off on. Mrs. Sheehan has zero chance of even getting on a ballot against Pelosi. Why even cover such a non-story?
Oh! The Horrors! Not being able to suck up oxygen on the Daily Kos! How many angels can fit on the head of pin anyway?!?!?!?!
That electronic rag is Gospel here in Berkeley. It is quoted everywhere. At least SheBiscuit can take heart that she isn’t posting her message on a leading source of disinformation about the war and what happens in these United States. The DK is right up there with TRUTHOUT! and the “Nation”.
I wonder what Code Stink has to say to Daily Kos now that SheBiscuit has been booted? Where is St. Medea Benjamin in all of this?
Ice cream smoothies for the oppressed anybody?
I just spent the last 20 minutes reading through the Kos site…
Can someone please give me that 20 minutes of my life back?
It’s a laugher, for sure. That commenter is probably one of the many parents that NEED someone to tell them how to raise their kids, they just don’t know it. loons.
anyone on KOS (i still think it’s pronounced kay-os, like chaos) needs serious help, mentally , parentally, anything available.
CHAOS boots Mother Sheehan. HA! That’ll make her see
redpink.Tell you the truth, I wish there were more anti-war conservatives out there like me. I do have serious disagreement with how this “war” is conducted.

You had better seek help…SOON. (and a shower)
Cindy Sheehan is too looney even for the looney left? Not at all; they love her for she says what they all are thinking yet are too cowardly to say themselves. If she loses to “Nana state” Nancy, Sheehen is a sure thing for San Fran’s Mayor.
Exactly! These mental midgets espouse the Constitution and freedom, and then undermine them both with their every action.
The mind boggles……
A minor clarification on the caption for the photo that accompanies this post. You referred to this as a “blue on blue” confrontation. “Blue on blue” is reserved for FRIENDLY fire, when people on your side are shooting at each other, either deliberately or by mistake. When the opposition does that, it’s called “red on red.” And in this case, the color “red” matches the ideology of KOS and Sheehan. Personally, I think it is great that these socialist, leftist, pricks cut each other up. The more they fight amongst themselves, the better place America will be.
So the battle between the howling monkeys that post at KOS and the Moonbat Queen, should be referred to a “red on red.”
Once again, MM and all of you don’t get it. Who cares about the trials and tribulations of Cindy Sheehan? This is a sideshow and irrelevant.
What should be discussed is the fact that great Americans, like her son, are dying every day and for what? Does anyone out there really believe Iraq wants to be a Jeffersonian Democracy? News flash: The entire middle class in Iraq have left the country. The Iraqi government is showing no interest in creating a stable democracy.
It is time that you wingnuts join smart Republicans like Sens. Warner, Lugar, Alexander and push to get out of Iraq NOW.
Mike B:
I find the statement “push to get out of Iraq now” confusing.
Just exactly what do you mean? If you mean withdraw all American troops from Iraq immediately, your advice is flying in the face of every civilian and military expert - including people like General Odom who want our troops out but not withdrawn willy nilly as you seem to advise.
As far as the middle class is concerned, you may be surprised to learn that while around 2 million Iraqis have indeed fled the country, economic activity is perking along nicely, thank you. Business creation in Iraq is at unparalled levels. So even if many in the middle class have fled, they are being replaced and augmented by a new class of entreprenurs.
My own view is that Lugar and Domenici are right. The American military has done all it can. From this point on, security should be an Iraqi concern. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t maintain a substantial presence there - help guard the border, go after al-Qaeda, and act as a humanitarian force if, as expected, the Shias start going after the Sunnis with a vengance.
The Democratic plan - one I suppose you support - would bring all the troops home with no regard for the future of Iraq. This is suicide and has been ridiculed by most responsible critics of the war who wish to see a change in mission but not that kind of “cut and run” strategy implemented.
MikeB, you’re the moral authority around here I see. May I ask your superiour highness if you have anyone close to you who has been to Iraq? See, my husband doesn’t mind going back for a fourth time which he’s slated to do this time next year if it means finishing this job so our two year old son won’t have to do it. Do you have “war fatigue”? If so, how in God’s name are you sufferring? Perhaps you missed the sideshow for the past two years where she was given absolute moral authority by those who now mock her. But being a part of the morally superior group yourself you don’t see it. It’s really annoying for those of you on the left who call those who go to war “great Americans”. The cadre of military people I know really, really, really despise the left, the anti-war crowd-both Republican and Democrat and wish you’d all sit at in your eco-friendly homes and shut up about how much you love this cournty and that you’re dissent is the highest form of patriotism. Lugar is another who like Reid is hanging the troops out to dry. Good day morally superiour one, our hats are off to you!
Terriq and Rick, Thank you for weighing in. First, I do have someone close to me in Iraq, my first cousin Gene is in Anbar. I have spoken to him numerous times and he is a liberal, Democrat as was Pat Tillman, a genuine hero (as was George McGovern, for that matter), as are several people in his squad. Not all military people share MM’s beliefs sorry to disappoint you. Being a good American doesn’t mean being endorsing the illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional actions of the Bush Administration.
I agree that some leftists out there are annoying and arrogant, etc. as are some rightists. My point is that focusing on Cindy Sheehan’s statements is not important and a distraction. I never appointed her my spokesman, just as blacks didn’t appoint Al Sharpton and evangelists didn’t appoint Rev. Pat Robertson.
And yes, I favor immediate withdrawal of all our troops. The “experts” who say otherwise cannot be trusted. The same “experts” said Iraq would be a cakewalk and we’d be greated as liberators. The same experts who ignored the fact that as a result of our involvement there is more terrorism now than before (Howard Dean is correct) and the world is less safe than it was before.
And, if you rightists fear genocide in Iraq and that’s important, why don’t you do something about the real genocide in Darfur?
MkeyB, I have to live with someone who like others in this class he is in (they are doing some training) are very depressed and just plain fed up with the cut and run crowd. I was in myself and ran into about 10-15% of the people who were Democratic liberals and they always saw something wrong with how things were done. However, for the most part everyone is non-political but as a whole don’t trust the Democrats for anyting positive.
Why don’t you sign up yourself or beg George Clooney and all the others in hollywood who want us to go to Darfur to come up with your own “foreign legion” and do it yourself. Those of you who can’t wait to send our men and women to Darfur yet don’t want us in Iraq don’t get it. If they’re fatigued now why won’t they be if they’re sent immediately to Darfur? Answer me that? Why are we still in Bosnia & Kosovo? We still send people there as well.
Terrig,
I do not necessarily believe that U.S. troops should go to Darfur, but some troops–like a pan-African force–is necessary. On the other hand, I don’t think it would be too difficult to end genocide in Darfur. We did end it in Bosnia with just air strikes and very little loss of life. Obviously, Iraq is a much more complicated and deadly proposition.
I just think it is hypocritical that when conservatives argue against leaving Iraq on the ground that genocide will result are hypocritical. MM loves to show liberal hypocracy, but it works both ways.
I agree with you that most troops are apolitical as they should be.
MikeB,
The nicest thing I can say about you is that you are a fool.
You appear to not understand a thing about the war in Iraq against Al Qaeda.
Regardless of how and why got into Iraq, the fact is, Iraq is where we are directly fighting Al Qaeda right now.
Not only is Iraq is the main battlefield where we are fighting Al Qaeda, it is the battlefield of choice for Al Qaeda as well. Al-Zawahiri says so, and so does bin Laden. Just last week, Zawahiri pointedly noted that Iraq is the gateway for Caliphate.
Let me restate it even more clearly and directly: We are fighting Al Qaeda, the people who attacked us on 9/11/01, ON THE BATTLE FIELD OF OUR CHOICE and that battlefield is Iraq. Both the DNI and the CIA have said that if we beat them in Iraq, we seriously damage or destroy the entire Jihadist movement, worldwide.
Zawahiri seems to agree.
In other words, Iraq is the place where we draw, fix, and destroy our main enemy, Al Qaeda.
Now given this, immediate withdrawal means the Al Qaeda wins. Winning is, of course, what Al Qaeda wants to accomplish.
So, the question I hve for you is why do YOU want to give Al Qaeda what they want? Why do YOU want Al Qaeda to win?
By the way, I’m the father of a US Marine who is also an Iraq war veteran.
Where, oh where is the diversity!
Hypocrites. Their prejudice and narrow mindedness was also reavealed.
Wow, no one is talking about the two really important aspects of this story (in my humble opinion, of course):
1. This is a perfect example of Democrats idea of a fair and balanced discussion and another example of the mindset behind the fairness doctorine. While Mike B, the local nutroot tin-foil-hat poster on this board is allowed to go on and on, wasting valueable bandwidth which argueably should be for conservatives in a world in which the left otherwise outnumbers the right in the media 10 - 1, Sheehan is kicked off that Democrat board for not walking in lockstep with the crowd. Disagreement = abandonment in the world of liberals.
2. Here’s the fun stuff: Independant candidate Sheehan will bleed off many, many votes from Dim Pelosi. Wouldn’t it be wonderful, magnificent irony if Sheehan, darling of the kill-your- fetus-but-surrender-to-murderers crowd, caused liberal leadership wonk Pelsoi to lose to a Republican by splitting the vote in one of the most liberal places on earth?!
Ah! How nice!
I’m all for Sheehan now that she’s pissing off all these liberals…I say, send her some money…. I”m in agreement with Mr_Conservative_Cat… let’s support her….Pelosi…Sheehan?…will we notice the difference?….
the difference? No more Madame Speaker…..
Wow, a lib being booted off Kos is remarkable. It shows that Kos’s self-serving repression of free speech extends across political lines.
