What is the problem or issue you have with this?

I have been to Mexico and many countries all around the world and was able to give them US dollars instead of the local currency. I bet these companies are making good money with the exchange rates they are charging them, just like if I use US dollars in Mexico at any place but a bank.

While I am on board with deporting people and stopping illegal immigration, I see no problem with companies who except peso. Ever go to Mexico and use US money instead of peso? Did you have any problem with that?

I used US$ in Mexico frequently. So they make a bit on the exchange rate.

Sorry, but I can’t get work uped over this one. This is honestly not that big of a deal. I have paid US Dollars Cash for food, drinks, souveniers, etc. in Mexico, Philippines, and Hong Kong. In fact, living in AZ the Pizza Patron thing could be helpful, last time I came back from Mexico, I had about 100 pesos in coins and small bills (about US$10), and I just ended up giving it to someone on their way down there. Now ordering a pizza could help not waste my money!

This is about Dallas, do you all remember a little while ago what the town of Farmers Branch, passed local legislation for? Farmers Branch is outside of Dallas.

There are three states, I have counted so far that are passing their own legislation to level the playing field for American Citizens and Legal Immigrants of this country, Oklahoma,Colorado and Arizona does anyone know of any others?

If we can us American currency around the world, what is so wrong with Pesos being used here? The currency rate will need to be watched as it does change from day to day, but other that that…no big deal! For those of us who live in Border States the idea is not oh-so un-American. Relax please.

Allow me to play the contrarian here and point out that Maine, New Hampshire, and Michigan all accept both Canadian and American money – although the exchange rate of the Canadian dollar is a helluva lot closer to our dollar than the Peso can ever dream of being.

That said, it’s probably good business to accept Mexican money. Can’t begrudge a company the opportunity to increase business simply be exchanging a customer’s money into dollars for him which is what in essence, is going on.
