Who would the Dems put on the Supreme Court?
Tom Goldstein of SCOTUSblog looks into his crystal ball and compiles a (not so) short list of potential Dem Supreme Court justice picks. He believes the initial appointment would go to a woman, probably a minority, and offers a second list for second/third-seat picks. Goldstein’s bottom line:
My ultimate predictions? Kim Wardlaw (2009, for Souter), Deval Patrick (2010, for Stevens), and Elena Kagan (2011, for Ginsburg).
Supreme Court justice Deval “Quota King” Patrick?
Scary, scary thought.

I’m sure they’d appoint someone like Rosie O’Donnell.
Sheehan is unemployed./s
When Hillary gets embarrassed of “Ambassador to the World” Bill’s dalliances with various foreign women, the first lawyer to have his law license suspended will be on the Supreme Court. Mark my words, and listen to my warning!
reppac122 you might just be right. because it is not mandatory that they be a lawyer to appoint them as supreme court justice. wow i guess if bill can’t be dictator, he’ll settle for supreme court justice.
of course what stops any other dem from doing this too? nothin..
scary days ahead..
Is Hugo Chavez eligible? I’m sure he’s on the short list…
Great minds follow the same path…the minute I saw the title on this item I thought of Bill C. and how he’d sail right through confirmation hearings.
A: Zawahiri
Also, I hear Nifong is now available! Or maybe that stupid ‘judge’ who was suing the dry cleaners b/c they lost his pants.
Supreme court judges are the single most important (and has the largest impact on our society) decision a president has to make. Thats why I will ALWAYS take the worst Republican over the best democrat any day.
And you know that if the Dems win the presidency there will be a pro-choice litmus test for appointees!
I agree with the above poster; B Clinton
(very scary indeed)
Jesse Jackson!
Yes, he is our nation’s moral authority.
They will select whomever is willing to believe that “Constitution and Bill of Rights” are to be interpreted as living documents. So that the Democratic Party can set aside the Rule of Law and not be bother with things like elections again. There are a number of Senior Senators and national Dem’s that can fill the requirements.
Uh…JP Stevens was appointed by a Republican (Ford…kind of), and he’s the worst we’ve known since Blackmun (douche - Roe v Wade), who was nominated by Nixon. This ignores the obvious: Ginzburg (D - Moscow), who doesn’t count.
Point: be careful what kind of Republican you vote for. Rudy has appointed some of the worst judges you have never heard of!
Rev. Al Sharpton
Keith Olbermann
Michael Moore
Frank Rich (NYTimes)
John Edwards
Harry Belafonte
Ariana Huffington
…praying to God that Ruth Bader Ginsberg croaks soon so Bush can nominate Ann Coulter.
If Barack wins, Hillary
and Bill
Rosie
Husham Al-Husainy
What about Lani Guinier?

It all depends on how many of their nominees are paying their nannies off the books.
I think top pics for SCOTUS would be Helen Thomas, David Gregory, oh and the MSNBC favorite anchor Zawahirir.
MICHELLE MALKIN
Arlen Specter, Barbra Streisand, or Jerry Rubin. All cut from the same cloth, except Specter is a Republican LOL.
I don’t think Bill Clinton can be on the Supreme Court. Didn’t he have to give up his law license after the impeachment procedings?
You’re right, I believe he gave it up to avoid being disbarred. If he’d only pleaded guilty maybe he would have had time to pardon himself along with his brother and Hillary’s brothers and Marc Rich and a sorry supporting cast of hundreds.
