Not to be outdone:

Q: What’s the difference between a puppy and a liberal?
A: Puppies stop whinning after they grow up.

Q: Why do liberals and Rubix Cubes have in common?
A: The more you try to figure them out, the more confusing they get.

The latest telephone poll taken by the Florida Governor’s office, asked whether people who live in Florida think illegal immigration is a serious problem:
29% of respondents answered: “Yes, it is a serious problem.”
71% of respondents answered: “No es una problema seriosa.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Fleener

He is a freaking trial lawyer for God's sake!

You know, the same people that will say anything to try and convince a bunch of people that "Mr. so and so" didn't rape or murder someone.

In this particular instance, he was probably trying to defend Ali Hamza Ahmed Sulayman al Bahlul,

he is his lawyer!

How woefully disengenious can you be Mike?

Are you next going to quote OJ Simpson?

MikeB:

Jesus Mike.

That last long post amounted to nothing more than wordy insults and $2 psychobabble.

Why won't you respond to my response ref. your lengthy post about Bush being what the founding fathers warned of?

Liberals like you don't even believe your own rhetoric. If you did, then why are you still happily paying taxes and gladly participating in the process of a nation that you and/or others would deem the moral equivalent of Nazi Germany?

Are you a coward or a hypocrite?

One more thing, wake up:

"I think more war crimes have been committed in the detention and interrogation and fake trials of people in Guantánamo than people in Guantánamo have committed. And I don't think the question is whether they've tortured people," - Major Tom Fleener, United States Army Reserve, and a military lawyer assigned to one of the Gitmo detainees.

One more:

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Joe Lieberman are all flying over New Orleans in a Blackhawk, surveying the progress that has been made in rebuilding the city and the levees. As they fly over the Ninth Ward, Cheney looks out the window, grins, and says, "You know, I could throw a thousand-dollar bill out the window right now and make one of those poor bastards very happy."

Bush says, "Well, I could throw ten hundred-dollar bills out the window right now and make TEN people very happy."

Not to be outdone, Lieberman chimes in, "Oh yeah? Well, I could throw a hundred $10 bills out the window and make a HUNDRED Americans very happy."

Hearing this, the copter pilot rolls his eyes and says, "Man, I could throw all three of you out the window and make 300 million Americans very happy."

Some neocon jokes:

why do you never want to date a neocon? Because they always say they're going to pull out and they never do.

Q: How many neocons does it take to change a light bulb?

A: None. The socket welcomes the light bulb with candy and flowers.

Good morning my friends, some more required reading:

There will be serious tears before bedtime, Republicans.

Your faith is fierce, your devotion is duly noted. But before long, those noble qualities will be the very things that allow the hijackers occupying the White House to complete their sacking of the republic. Your misplaced loyalty will prove to have been the strength that is turned into weakness by the cunning, spirit destroying practitioners of the art of the overthrow.

Yet the apologists still sputter away, their sneers and snipes honed to perfect, diamond hardness. So intoxicated by the endless stream of endorphins released during their saber-rattling gallop over fifty years of progressive legislation, the Republican light brigade that once trumpeted Compassionate Conservatism is now comprised of rotting principles, thwarting functioning government and seeking to demonize common sense.

Republicans are for the most part learned men and women. They can read. They seek clarity for a country whose path has become murky. But they have thrown themselves into a fight that is palpably ignoble and their pride -- so integral to their survival -- is nothing but hubris when seen in the light of reason. How many hopes and ideals have been scuttled by unyielding arrogance? Is this country destined now to become a red, white and blue husk, its guts and meat consumed by the corporate-fascist bacteria that have shielded themselves with slick promises and shiny gadgetry?

Republicans, they have fooled even you into thinking that You are Them.

But you're not. History has shown that you are not. History has shown that you are an essential ingredient in the American experiment. It has shown that without you, this nation founders. It has also shown that standing alone makes you tragically vulnerable. And no one should stand alone. America is about the synergy of all its components; its diversity is its strength. Having been convinced that the nation's survival is predicated on a series of immovable stances on problematic issues whose solutions would otherwise require a paradigm of evolved rationality (so clearly articulated by our founding fathers in the Constitution) you have inadvertently become an obstacle to their resolution and have degraded the credibility of our doctrines of freedom and liberty. Your faith in this administration is killing us.

It's not too late. And it's not your fault. You were merely being human. Now is the hour to open your eyes and your hearts and see for yourselves what everyone else can see so clearly. Without you, the chances for recovery are slim. With you, and with your newly enlightened spirits, we cannot fail to win.

Republicans: let's roll.

<blockquote>You know the Japanese in WWII sounded much the same way before a Banzai charge.</blockquote>

If US soldiers start blowing themselves up or US pilots start ramming jets into Muslim strongholds, I'd say you'd have a point. Of course that won't happen, so it's an unfair comparison.

<i>blacktygrrrr - "I do not care if I am the last man standing with the President. I will go to my grave believing the War in Iraq was legally and morally the right thing to do…and still is."</i>

You know the Japanese in WWII sounded much the same way before a Banzai charge.

How did that work out?

Americans should fight...but smart. Iraq is not where victory will be found in the war against Islamic aggression.
