Once again, I must identify the cause of the problem: WE CUT AND RUN, DIDN'T STAY THE COURSE, DIDN'T FINISH THE JOB in Afghanistan. Al Quidia in Iraq was formed after we invaded. If we finished the job in Afghanistan Al Quida would not be threat. So Bush and others blame Pakistan? That is exactly what someone without courage does? Does not take responsibility for their mistakes. When was the last time any of you heard Bush, Cheney, MM, or Hannity admit they were wrong? Never. Exactly, to do so takes courage!

The best we can hope for is any Mosque found helping terrorism in any way bulldozed, and the American flag planted on top of it.

Believers in Islam are coming through the southern border. This is why Chertoff has a gut feeling about something just might happen.

I'm afraid Steve at Threats Watch is right.

As long as there is a Pakistani government that either can't or won't fight the extremists, there will be terrorists there.

And the depressing thing is, looking beyond Musharraf - hopefully to some kind of civilian/military alliance with people like Benizir Bhutto - there is still not the will IN THE ARMY ITSELF to go after the Taliban and their extremist friends. This is why Musharraf signed those horrible deals with the tribes in Waziristan - the army was refusing to fight.

Best case scenario would be another military strongman taking over (Pakistani people admire the military more than any other institution in their society) who enjoys broad popular support in the urban areas and who might be able to go after al-Qaeda and other foreigners in the north if he frames the war in a nationalistic way.

It would mean distancing himself from Washington and getting out of the partnership business with Afghanistan. But that's about the best we could hope for in the near future.

Why we're fighting al Qaeda in Iraq...

The National Intelligence Estimate on threats to the U.S. has declassified key findings and it is sobering:The report makes clear that al-Qaida in Iraq, which has not yet posed a direct threat to U.S. soil, could become a problem here....

Time to stock up on Guns, Ammo, and Canned Goods. I’m so glad we have those wide open borders anyone can just waltz through without anyone wondering who might be coming in. Then again the attack cells are probably already set-up and ready to go. Time will tell if the Secretary for Lettuce Pickers and Homeland Insecurity will be right about his gut feeling or not.

In 2003 there was one Al Qaeda, now there are two-- the original and AQI, Al Qaeda in Iraq. The new NIE says AQI wants to attack America too.

The invasion and occupation of Iraq seems to have at least doubled the terrorism threat.

Getting our enemy, bin Laden and al-Queda in Afghanistan, was probably a doable mission.

Crusade against the middle eastern countries hostile to Israel and occupation of Iraq will probably commit us to a totally unnecessary 100-200 year struggle against all of radical Islam.

I agree with Steve at Threats Watch, though I say it the following way -

If we truly wanted to win this war lots of people will have to be killed, many feelings will be hurt, there would be massive destruction, and we would make our enemies submit to our will.

If we are unprepared to do this, then we are unprepared to go to war.

Support the Troops. Enlist! A better Bumper Sticker

box cutters - 1.99
airline ticket (1 way) $300.00
take over plane and fly it into world trade center....

it seems that al qaeda doesn't really need a whole lot of money to accomplish an attack, they just need able bodies. there were other planes that didn't get off the ground. so it requires logistics and timing. these are what have to be perfect. maybe that is all they are waiting for.. timing.

The group will step up its efforts to position operatives inside the U.S.

We have to decide what is more important: Being politically correct by letting everyone into our country and not limiting Muslim immigration, or actually preventing future attacks by securing our border and only allowing those who will assimilate into our country.

As long as we are PC, we've lost the War on Terror.

Expect to hear plenty of simpering from the left over this report later today, questioning the timing, of course. They refuse to believe Al Qaeda had any presence in Iraq before we toppled Saddam Hussein, and they could see video of Mahmoud Ahmadinej.....
