My fellow Americans, we have a problem. We spend billions of dollars on homeland security, but our government can’t even track and deport convicted criminal aliens. These are not the well-meaning “newcomers” who just want to “pursue economic opportunities” by “doing the jobs no one else will do.” These are foreign-born thugs, sex offenders, murderers, and repeat drunk drivers who are destroying the American Dream.
If our immigration and entrance system cannot effectively monitor, detain, and kick out convicted criminal aliens—including illegal border-crossers, illegal visa overstayers, fugitive deportees, and green card holders who have committed serious crimes and aggravated felonies—what good is it?
The terrible kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Zina Linnik in Tacoma, Wash., on July 4th is a typical example of the criminal alien revolving door. Terapon Adhahn, Linnik’s suspected kidnapper and killer who allegedly snatched her from the backyard of her home, is a permanent legal resident from Thailand. He was convicted of incest in 1990. Adhahn had sexually attacked his 16-year-old relative and pleaded down from a second-degree rape. Two years later, he was convicted of intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Section 1227(a)(2)(C), Title 8, of the U.S. code dealing with immigration states: “Any alien who at any time after admission is convicted under any law of…using, owning, possessing, or carrying…any weapon, part, or accessory which is a firearm or destructive device…in violation of any law is deportable.”
But Adhahn was not deported. In fact, as Lorie Dankers, spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Seattle, admitted: “He escaped our attention.”
Just like illegal alien gangster Mwenda Murithi , who was arrested 27 times without deportation before being arrested in the shooting death of 13-year-old innocent bystander Schanna Gayden last month in Illinois.
Just like illegal alien thug Ezeiquiel Lopez, who built up a six-year rap sheet without deportation before being arrested in the murder of Deputy Frank Fabiano two months ago in Wisconsin.
Just like illegal alien Juan Leonardo Quintero, who had been previously deported after committing crimes from indecency with a child to driving while intoxicated, but who traipsed back into the U.S. last fall and was arrested after allegedly shooting Houston police officer Rodney Johnson four times in the head during a routine traffic stop.
And the list goes on and on and on.
It is not “anti-immigrant radicals” who are fed up with the failure to kick out and keep out criminal aliens. Zina Linnik’s uncle, Anatoly Kalchik, points out that his family was a family of legal immigrants who all obeyed the laws. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported: “Zina’s uncle was angry that the suspect had not been deported after being convicted in a sex crime. “We are all immigrants, but we come legally,” Anatoly Kalchik said of his family. He added that the adults all cleared a criminal background check. ‘If someone is a sex offender, or any kind of offender, he has no business being in America,’ he said.”
Federal auditors and immigration officers have tried to blow the whistle on this recurring problem for the past 10 years. But the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General reported last year that of an estimated 650,000 foreign-born inmates in prison and jails this year, half will be removable aliens who won’t be removed because the detention and deportation office “does not have the resources to identify, detain, and remove” them.
And that’s just a best guess. Despite federal mandates, cooperative agreements, and endless political promises, there still is no working, nationwide information system in place with basic information about incarcerated criminal aliens.
Don’t we have enough homegrown criminals without the added public safety menace of known, convicted criminal aliens being released from prisons and jails to disappear and commit more crimes?
Rep. David Price, a North Carolina Democrat, is sponsoring legislation to require monthly prison and jail checks by DHS to track incarcerated illegal aliens, increase spending on criminal alien deportations, and expand a program known as 287(g) to encourage more local and state officials to cooperate with the feds to help identify and deport criminal aliens in their hometowns.
Why the hell aren’t we doing all this already? How many more innocent lives will be taken or ruined before we do?

I am surprised that PRICE is making such a bold move….particularly since this state is one of the worst!
Nothing is being done so far, in fact it’s worse….makes me wonder.
While the Senate has a sleep over, maybe this is the time to get their attention about securing our borders. They can actually do something meaningful.
Congress is upset about having to vote down amnesty, now refusing to do anything about immigration like a child having a temper tantrum because they didn’t get their way , and they have given themselves a raise!!!!!!!!! These people work for us, not the other way around and it is time they are called to account.
I would like to suggest that when showing mug shots in your PSA you have the last person be a non-hispanic looking person. A caucasion or the guy from Thailand would be a good choice.
I say this because there are many on the opposite side of this issue that want to believe that this is all about Hispanic hatred which, of course, it is not. I think the tendency would be to imprint on the last image and draw a conclusion from it.
I can just see Geraldo foaming at the mouth over this campaign!
In addition to prosecuting and deporting criminal illegal aliens, several measures have to be taken to ensure the security of this nation:
1 – Put a limit on all kinds of visas. Entrance to the U.S.A. must be controlled. Legal Immigration shouldn’t be as easy as it is right now.
2 – Visas shouldn’t be easily granted to Muslims. And better if they weren’t granted at all. Let’s be blunt here. Yes, the State Department with the help of the FBI/CIA can find out who is Muslim and who is not.
3 – All borders must be completely sealed.
4 – The Muslims living in this country have to be monitored and investigated, all of them. Those who are found related to terrorist organizations, those who overstayed their visas and those who committed crimes must be prosecuted and/or deported and stripped from their citizenship if they are “citizens.”
5 – Those Muslims who live in America and express hate towards this country must be asked to leave immediately, and be stripped from their citizenship.
6 – A system of street surveillance (CCTV) must be put in place all over the country, like Great Britain.
7 – The citizens should not be afraid to be labeled “bigots,” “racists,” etc. If they feel, see or hear any suspicious activities, they should be applauded and rewarded for reporting them. There should be more encouragement from the government.
8 – Political Correctness must be banned as a word and as an action from these United States.
9 – Any Media outlet that is trying to cover up or to find excuses for the Islamic terrorists or for the Muslims living in this country must be punished by switching the TV button, not buying the newspaper, not visiting the website and not advertising in it.
10 – Do not vote for traitors.
More Mexican nationals doing the smuggling and passing of counterfeit bills that Americans won’t do.

I think its a good idea to put focus on criminals and gang members first, you’re going about this the smart way Michelle.
I’m all for attacking the problems associated with illegal immigration. As far I am concerned ALL illegals need to go. I am not trying to be negative here but what good is this without securing the border? I mean aren’t we putting the cart before the horse?
There should be a Congressional pardon of Border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean who are serving long prison terms for doing their job in 2005.
The Mexican drug smuggler they shot,Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, was given immunity and has free and unescorted passage into our country.
This travesty of justice has the attention of some Senators who question the actions of the US Attorney’s office. In addition, Duncan Hunter is calling for a Congressional pardon.
Please do your part and call/fax and email the Senate and house, demanding a pardon.

I’m behind you 110%. I know what I think needs to be done, but how do we, with specificity, know and get done what needs to be done? Although the Shamnesty boondoggle was stopped momentarily, if this site can coordinate the efforts of the millions, then I think there isn’t anything we can’t do!
I’m signed up and ready to go, to do what ever it takes to stop this insanity. I am completely against illegal immigration and especially against the criminals amongst them. We have to start by securing our borders as so many have mentioned already, and going after corporations who hire them.

I don’t know what part of NC you live in, but down the road from me in Burlington, NC there is a brand new (One of Three Nationally) deportation centers. Our local Sheriff always said we are gonna make sure the people who are here are supposed to be here.
We are getting tough on them here in the Triad (though it’s where Edward’s mansion is). We have the fastest growing illegal alien population in the state, but it’s a new problem.

not sure if anyone has seen this yet but looks like they may have made a preliminary connection with the death of Zina and the death of Adre’Anna Jackson’s 2006 kidnapping and death in Pierce County, WA. Interestingly enough, they are also now looking into over 20 years worth of disappearances and murders in the areas where Adhahn (as a person of interest) may have been – these include:
Michella Welch, 12, of Tacoma, was found dead hours after the girl disappeared from a park on March 26, 1986. Later that year, Jennifer Bastian, 13, of Tacoma, was found dead in a park where she’d been last seen riding her bicycle two weeks earlier. These two are the only ones named but DNA tests are being sent country wide.

Now I am just sick to my stomach. Who knows how many little girls suffered at the hands of this putrid and miserable person? And it could have been avoided if our laws had been enforced. Maddening. Just maddening.
Honestly, i don’t have children…yet. But the very thought of having to be put through this as a child makes my stomach turn.
If there is any good news to glean (i know, a little bit of a stretch) from this new news is that what is done is done…if he has done this on more than one occassion…he has been caught, will hopefully never see the light of day again AND the families will have some “closure” (whatever the heck that means these days). Let’s hope there is not another psychopath running around out there re: these little girls and that the monster has been caught and can never do it again. So sad that this was so preventable.

There was a highschool teacher this past school year who gave HIS class a homework assignment that was a coded game….circling words in a large box of letters. Parents were outraged!
It contained messages like “Death to the USA”….terrorist comments.
Do you know what happened? He was asked to resign. NOT FIRED.
He also was gainfully employed part-time I believe in the town of Cary…in the Wake Co schools system. The local SBI did not pursue him whatsoever! They said they had NO evidence of any criminal activity.

A 13-year-old boy was sexually assaulted near a Poway middle school Monday after a homeless man lured him with alcohol to a hillside encampment, sheriff’s officials said yesterday.
Jesus Mora Nava, 30, was arrested hours later after a short pursuit by deputies and booked into jail on suspicion of several child molestation charges.
Nava is being held without bail. He also is being detained on federal immigration violations.
The boy told sheriff’s investigators that he was west of Meadowbrook Middle School when Nava approached him Monday afternoon.
Nava promised the boy alcohol and led him to a nearby hillside, where it appeared Nava had been camping out, sheriff’s Capt. Glenn Revell said.
Investigators said Nava gave the boy a drink before sexually assaulting him.
The boy ran away after the attack and alerted an adult at a nearby sports field, Revell said.
The adult drove the boy to the Poway sheriff’s station, where he was interviewed and then taken to a hospital.
Deputies searched for the transient but found the camp empty.
That night, a sheriff’s helicopter used an infrared camera to detect a heat source in the area.
Nava was arrested after a short chase. Investigators say he was identified based on the victim’s statement and help from local businesses.
Nava entered the country illegally after being deported from the Imperial Valley in May, said Lauren Mack, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman.
Nava also has been arrested for public intoxication, Revell said.
“We are concerned he has possibly tried to lure other young people in a similar situation, and we’d like other possible victims to summon the same courage and come forward,” Revell said.
*Phew!* Does this mean I can stop calling Congress almost every day? They’re tired of me!
This is a terrific move, Michelle.
I would like to point out – probably obviously – to every reader here that this is going to require ENORMOUS grass-roots support, because the left will absolutely vilify Michelle for this without telling the other side of the story. She took the first bold step but if we – meaning everyone – do not throw our weight into this thing, Michelle will simply be cast as heartless and cold-blooded and, in a word, marginalized by the MSM, and we need people listening to her forever.

Senate Amnesty Bill Goes Down In Flames
( Washington , D.C. ) — Today, the US Senate voted down the immigration/amnesty bill 53-46. Prior to the vote, Rep. Myrick signed onto Secure Borders FIRST (For Integrity, Reform, Safety and anti-Terrorism) Act of 2007, which was introduced in the House today by Reps. King (R-NY) and Smith (R-TX). This legislation would take real concrete steps to secure our borders and put an end to illegal immigration.
“The Secure Borders FIRST Act is what Congress should pass before we consider anything else. I have said it before, and I will say it again…if we don’t secure the borders and enforce our laws, nothing else we enact will work,” said Rep. Myrick. “The common sense policy of ‘enforcement first’ is what the American people want, and that’s why I support this bill”.
The Secure Borders FIRST Act mandates that DHS gain operational control of all our borders within the next six years, authorizes additional border-security personnel, requires expedited removal for any illegal aliens apprehended within 100 miles of the border within two weeks of entry, and makes alien street gang members deportable and inadmissible. The bill also includes strong worksite-enforcement provisions and requires tamper-resistant biometric social security cards to minimize fraud.
Regarding the defeat of the Senate amnesty bill, Rep. Myrick stated: “The American people killed this bill. They want secure borders and they want our laws enforced. It is that simple; until we know these things are done, amnesty bills will continue to fail.”

At the very least they should be asked, every time they appear in public, how they live with the blood of innocent children on their hands.

That might get an improved response from a do-nothing-crat at the next opportunity to do the right thing.

That school issue sounds like a muslim issue to me. Our state DOES have a problem with turning a blind eye to the evils of Islam (that whole dang southern hospitality thing – too nice). Now we can swear in to court on a Koran
due to someone from the Triad suing with ACLU help. KSM went to school here in the Triad too – so that certainly is a problem in NC.
Illegal immigration is another issue. Sue Myrick is another HOTSHOT! She’s from Charlotte and she’s a really good one for the House. I guarantee you she’s a stronger woman and better leader than Pelosi.
The first ‘battlefield of the Revolution’ (battle of alamance) took place in 1770 about 2 miles from my house. We are proud Americans in NC – and hate taxes (which is what that battle was about – we lost).
As for the ‘broken up families’, we don’t break them up. If they want to be together, they can be together with their ‘American’ babies in another country where the parents aren’t illegal.
