Rick, I think you got it a little confused. We liberals, unlike some of you, believe the Constitution was not abridged by 9/11. We faced much more difficult crises in our history and the principles of our founding fathers and most importantly the Bill of Rights remain the bedrock of our country. The FBI and CIA can talk, but the CIA is forbidden by federal law to work domestically. And, Rick we didn't fight Al Quaeda like we meant it, we outsourced getting OBL in Torra Bora, then we cut and ran to Iraq, i.e., precisely what would insure that Al Quaeda will prosper. And guess what, they are as strong as ever. So, great job on that war on terror, GWB.

These people just don't seem to know any other way to deal with things. Or...do they, but just enjoy killing for it's own sake????

DK:

68% of people now oppose the handling of the war. 63% don’t think it the Iraq war was worth it in the first place.

Most recent CNN poll has 42% believing it was worth it to go into Iraq and 51% who think not. That's up considerably from last month btw.

As for liberals supporting the war on terror - baloney! It's "the bumper sticker war" or a gigantic trick by Rove/Bush to set up a dictatorship.

Liberals want things exactly the way they were on 9/10 - no tough security, no troops overseas, no fighting al Qaeda as if we meant it. They want the FBI and CIA back to where they were - not talking to each other. They want even less internal security than there was then.

It's obvious you don't read many lefty websites or read Raw Story or Common Dreams. This is the base of the Democratic party. And whoever can make them forget 9/11 ever happened the best is going to win.

Right now, Hillary personifies 9/10 Democrats - her husband was president during the entire 1990's.

There are not many liberals who do not back the War on Terror

Hmmm. You mean the bumper sticker? Don't want wiretapping of calls from terror sponsoring nations, don't want the Patriot Act, don't want the finance tracking program, don't want the border wall, don't want John Doe protection for citizens...

How can you back the War on Terror if you oppose every effective means of fighting it? Why are liberals the ones demonizing the servicemen and women who are killing Al Qaeda members every day in Iraq AND Afghanistan?

Tell us you are anti-war peaceniks, tell us you believe terror should be fought with a subpoena in one hand and a warrant in the other (and only after the fact), tell us you blame America for terrorism... but please don't tell us that liberals support the War on Terror, unless your name is Joe Lieberman,(ID) Connecticut. There's just too much evidence to the contrary.

May God comfort the family and friends and fellow worshippers of Bae Hyung-kyu who is now in heaven and has heard his Savior tell him "Well done, good and faithful servant." May God protect the surviving missionary group. As the mother of a child who has gone on missionary trips I can only imagine what these parents are going through. I pray for their comfort, for the safety of their children, and above all that the message of the Gospel of Christ be spread to these terrorists and that their hearts be transformed.

Liberals want to smoke a peace pipe, not allow the war on terror to continue in Iraq, but to bring it all back to the US.

So who’s looking out for who again?

Sorry, but I don’t buy your bullcrap.

And I don't buy yours.

There are not many liberals who do not back the War on Terror. They still wish to avenge 9/11. From the ones I've observed, many seem to object to IRAQ when Osama Bin Laden remains Target #1.

That's a notion that is seeming to cross party lines as 68% of people now oppose the handling of the war. 63% don't think it the Iraq war was worth it in the first place.

Dread Pirate Roberts #43
My knowledge of the ROK armed forces comes from personal experience. I have served alongside them and trained with them and trust me the ROK Marines are as tough as they come and they can be ruthless. In US Army forces in Korea they have what are known as KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the USA), which are basically rich kids who have bought their way into the program because they know serving in an American unit beats the snot out of serving in a Korean unit. Any time we had trouble out of them all we had to do was threaten to notify the ROK Sargeant Major and they would straighten right up.
ROK forces are disciplined and tough.
