I’m sure the Senator didn’t read the story about the Filipino who murdered ten people and injured 14 other with a bolo knife in May 2007. My question to the Senator; if Guns kill people then do knives do as well? What about potato peelers, shovels, barbells automobiles and alcohol? And what about that hair on the coke? Did that kill anybody? Maybe we should ban all these things as well. The only people that should have Guns and knives are libbs, because their better than everybody else!!!!!!! Senator Biden give me a FREAKEN break!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biden is such a loon. Does he also think that people that call their classic car “their baby” are also in need of a mental evaluation??? He is so out of touch it is rediculous.
Have you ever noticed that the Left wing gun haters never site any statistics when they go on their anti-gun rants? Thats b/c almost every statistical study out there shows that citizens owning guns and lawfully caring them lowers crime rates (See FBI gun violence statistics). Jered is right on the money with his disection of his “assault weapon”, and it makes me wonder how far the anti-gun nuts would really go if they could. I would venture a guess that they wouldn’t be happy until only single shot muskets were allowed to be owned.
Congress is at it again with a new and improved “assault weapons ban”, so call your senators(HR 1022).

Unfotunately for this fellow, there are very few “do-overs” in life. Would that he had thought out his first video submission a bit more. Too bad, since the right to protect oneself and one’s family is a question candidates need to address.
I think Jered did a better job this time, but as purplepeep pointed out, you don’t get a do-over.
I’d like to see Biden try to defend his AW ban facing off against someone like Dave Kopel.
By the way, is it possible that we missed something very important? Senator Biden claimed to have authored it, are we sure he didn’t plagiarize it?

Long as Biden has his bodyguards he is all for controlling guns, his guns.
The people least willing to defend this nation’s borders and its people are the most willing to take away our right to defend ourselves. Sheep in, well, in sheep’s clothing. Unfortunately, the bleaters create such a cacophony that they are unable to hear the shepherds quietly protecting them.

I applaud Jared for taking a stand for what he believes. However I must correct a few inconistencies concerning the now defunct AWB.
First, a person could have 2 of the offending features on their “so-called assault” weapon and still be legal. The offending features? Pistol grip, detachable flashider (threaded barrel for that oh-so scary sound suppressor), folding or telescoping stock, bayonet lug, or a grenade launcher. The AWB also limited magazine capacity to 10 rds or less. One could have two of the features on the list, i.e. pistol grip and standard capacity magazine (because contrary to popular leftist view, there were plenty of pre-ban SC mags available for use), but not three.
This silly ban did nothing other than ban certain cosmetic features of a rifle, shotgun, or pistol. Even though several specific models of semi-automatic rifles were listed (such as Poly Technologies AKS-47 and the Beretta AR-70), all the importer or manufacturer had to do was rename the platform, eliminate the ‘bad’ features’, and viola! A post-ban semi-automatic rifle, with the differences between the post-94 rifle and the pre-94 rifle being purely cosmetic in nature.
Snowman makes some great points. Another problem that I noticed during the AWB was that it made it more difficult (not illegal) to buy high capacity pistol magazines. During the AWB a 17 rd Glock pistol magazine retailed for about $115; after the ban they are now around $25.
Even though Sen. Smirk has and will if allowed again.
We must never make laws using esthetic’s as any part of them whatsoever.
The appearance of a firearm matters not one tiny bit.
The judgment that what a firearm looks like should determine whether or not it’s legal doesn’t comply with the 2nd amendment at all.
I live in the town where Camp Perry is, that is were the NRA holds the National Matches. It is a month long shooting tournament. This year is the 100th Anniversary.
I would love for Mr. Binden to come and talk to all the shooters. Our liberal Governor Ted Strickland (supposedly Pro-Gun) backed out and so did out liberal Rep. Marcy Kaptur from coming to the opening ceremonies.
They don’t have the guts to spout their anti-guns views to gun owner’s faces. They are nothing but cowards.
Mr. Binden, please come to Camp Perry, OH. We would LOVE to have you.

It just goes to show the ignorance of the Left. These are people that know nothing about firearms and they are attempting to pass legislation to regulate them.
I shot two different types of guns at age 16. That has been it since. I personally am not a ‘gun’ person but I support the 2nd Amendment all the way down the road. Screw these liberals.
