“CAIR: FBI Probes Web Site Showing Shooting of Quran

Federal authorities are looking into a video that shows two men shooting a Quran with a military rifle, then throwing the bullet-riddled Muslim holy book at the entrance of a a Chattanooga mosque, an FBI agent said Monday.

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations on Monday had called on the Justice Department to investigate the incident as a possible civil rights violation. The group said it was the latest in a series of incidents targeting mosques in several states. . .

The video, titled ” kill the koran” was posted on MySpace.com last month, said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper. It could still be seen on the Web site on Monday.”

How many last straws are we going to tolerate?

Where’s the ACLU? They’re probably conferencing with CAIR on sentencing strategy. Does anyone know if this law has been tested for constitutionality? It’s obviously a free speech issue, but then again the Supreme idiots did hand down the Kelo decision.

While that did raise an eyebrow with me at first – fair and rational thought dictates that we don’t jump to conclusions about that.

Just because the investigating detective MAY be Muslim ( which we don’t know ) – doesn’t preclude him from being fair.

If that were the case, would we then have to remove a Catholic investigator from a crime against a Catholic? Or have a black investigator recuse himself from a white on black crime?

Let’s stay focused on what we know and not make a jump without knowing the facts or without evidence of retaliation.

But of course, they seem to conveniently lack opinions and motivation unless the religious folks being offended are Christians (even though I’m not religious, I can recognize that this is happening. . .that’s how bad it is).

I think the copies of the Koran were owned by the university

Put into this meditation room at taxpayer expense? Were bibles (King James and the one the Catholic church uses), a book of mormon, and torah also provided by the university at taxpayers expense?

This is another issue, but it should be looked into.
