Friday Factor
I’ll be guest-hosting The O’Reilly Factor again at 8pm Eastern tonight. Good show lined up–bridge collapse politics, John Edwards’ petard, immigration enforcement and employers, and Macho Man Obama, among other topics.

Tune in I shall!
You should try to get Tom Tancredo on the show and ask him about his plan if
the US is attacked by the islamists again.
Blonde Sagacity has the story on her blog at:
http://mobyrebuttal.blogspot.com/2007/08/appealing-to-base.html
Can’t wait to see it!
I’m glad you’ll be talking about the bridge collapse. Maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll pull a body out on your segment.
Something good to watch tonight! Here’s wishing you another successful debate with your guests.
Excellent! I will be there with bells on!
I do have to go out of town this evening, but I don’t have to leave until 8:00 cst.
Perfect!
Give ‘em hell, Michelle!
Have another great show!
What the heck, dude?
I was hasty in my post. I now see you indicated bridge collapse POLITICS. If yo take a stick to the it’s Bush’s fault moonbats that would be a good thing. Please don’t roll the endless loop of collapse photos in the background.
Thanks for the clarification.
MM,
Looking forward to it, and point the pen at us when you say “looking out for you”.
I was being sarcastic dude.
I hope you cover the raid of the “Your Black Muslim Bakery” in Oakland in connection of the execution of the reporter yesterday. It seems the MSM is not.
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/08/03/BAGVJRCCPR7.DTL&tsp=1
But you know that the tireless live coverage and parade of experts and ‘experts’ is just filler while they wait for the ‘dead bodies’. Gotta get the dead bodies on a live shot for the big ratings.
I’m looking forward to seeing you on The Bloviator tonight. Shoot straight and take no prisoners (as usual)! You are a very welcome change from O’Reilly…
And please, don’t roll any segments with Shep Smith and the bridge, he adds nothing good and just loves to hear the sound of his own voice (also as usual).
It’s Michelle Night! Time to break out the popcorn and watch the Queen Bee of cable news sting ‘em!
- Bill who?
Never fear, Michelle is on it, as usual:
Oakland, Fremont police descend on Your Black Muslim Bakery
By Michelle Malkin • August 3, 2007 09:43 AM
there is even a brilliant comment from me already there!
So there it is.
I hope the Army’s assessment of TNR’s Beauchamp reporting makes it in. But it sounds like a pretty full show.
I’ll be there as well! Steak night with Michelle. I hope this will be a permanent feature with O’Reilly.
Has anybody else noted this irony:
Within a week of the FBI/IRS raid on Ted “Bridge to Nowhere” Stevens a bridge that truly was in need of government TLC goes ker-plunk!
Priorities.
Well since this is war time, one could argue that those suffering from BDS and who try to somehow pin the bridge collapse on GW have in fact gone “A Bridge Too Far” on this one
Always enjoy watching you on the Factor;but as tragic as the bridge story is, it’s not news any longer, it’s history. I’m getting a little tired of the coverage.
Yeah, calling it a “catastrophy of historic proportions” seems a bit overblown. . .although I do feel sympathy for the victims and their families.
Michelle, If you could rearrange your entire television schedule around the fact that I have Sabbath dinners on Friday night, that would be appreciated. Other than that, I look forward to watching you on Tivo around midnight.
I am not sure if this is worth ever discussing on air, but I received an email solicitation today from the Hillary Clinton campaign asking her to help combat “enemy propaganda.” The enemy was Dick Cheney.
The word propaganda is normally associated with Joseph Goebbels, but even beyond that, here is how I replied:
“Mrs. CLinton,
The fact that you consider Dick Cheney an enemy and not an opponent reinforces every negative perception about you. I like Dick Cheney. I dislike you.”
The enemy is Al Queda and other terrorists, not an American leader trying to fight them, which Bill Clinton failed to do!
I know it did not come from her directly, but she is responsible for everything that every low level staffer on her campaign does, the same way I root out hate speech on my blog because I value my brand.
Good luck tonight Double-M!

P.S. I would be happy to provide the email so you have verification. I am not the Jayson Blair Times. I do not fabricate this stuff.
I’ll have my DVR set -
Hey Michelle - how long til the eyes of talent-searchers over at Fox open up and give you your own hour????
All at once now, ” Pleeeeeeeeeeeze!”
As I recall the MN gov said it was for MN.
But I agree it is not for the nation, if that is what was said.
I guess who the ‘enemy’ is is all in the eye of the beholder…when I was a cadet at the USAFA years ago,my AOC liked to tell the story of the time he was on the staff of Gen. Curtis LeMay when he was head of SAC and well known for his rivalry with the other services when it came to cold war era military funding…during a briefing on current USSR long range bomber capabilities my AOC,who was then a young 1st LT, had referred twice to the Russians as the ‘enemy’…after the 2nd time,Gen. LeMay interrupted him and said,”Son let’s get a few things straight here….the Russians are the adversary…the enemy is the Navy.”
bridge collapse politics
This is inevitable, everyone gets the hots for stuff like this. It is like that ING commercial with the cat stuck in the tree. The politician on the phone says, ‘part of my platform will be to build a platform to save the cat.’ Until the woman on the bench opens a can of tuna, or something. Hilarious! But, this sort of thing is, unfortunately, part of the structural tendencies of our politicians and media. Heck, even of ourselves.
John Edwards’ petard
If this is about money and politics, who and where it comes from, and whether it should be returned is ridiculous. Money is the Mother’s Milk of politics. Invariably there will always be something negative to say about any individual. You should return that money because that guy is a reckless driver and has over due parking tickets. You’re a scofflaw supporter. LOL. Give me a break.
immigration enforcement and employers
I really wish someone would ask a supporter of illegal immigration, ‘how many more people should be let into the country?’ There has to be somewhere around 200 million people in Central and South America. Should they all be allowed to enter the US? Only half of them? Once they buy into and agree on principle of a number, then the argument moves to, how about zero.
Macho Man Obama
If it is in relation to his Pakistan comments I hope the questions include. Should OBL be captured? Should Mullah Omar be captured? Should the perpertrators of 9/11 be brought to justice? Was Pres Bush correct in saying, ‘we will go after terrorists and their supporters’? Was Pres Bush correct in saying, ‘dead or alive’? Did Pres Bush place any caveats on going after the terrorist, i.e., we’ll go after the terrorist except the terrorists in Pakistan. Does Sen. Obama believe that we should have gone into Afghanistan? Does Sen. Obama believe we should have gone into Iraq? Does being for one front on the GWOT and not for another make him a flip flopper? What is the difference, and is that difference 9/11? Does ‘acting on’ (that’s his quote) mean - 1) boots on the ground, 2) CIA and hired tribesmen, 3) an inter-continentel ballistic missile, 4) invading all of Pakistan, or just the uncontrolled by the Pakistani Govermnet frontier province of Waziristan, 5) cutting aid to Musharraf, or 6) going to the UN to have them wag their finger.
More often than not, it is about the questions.
anyone see whats going on with the make-shift “mini-sub” off the coast of Manhattan? wasn’t there something MM posted a few weeks ago about Divers Wanted… http://michellemalkin.com/2007/07/09/attention-scuba-divers-uncle-sam-wants-you/ . I really don’t want to jump to conclusions here….but I would be really interested in the names of these “three male suspects”.
If it is not anything to do with the “T” word….then WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY THINKING??!!
This segment makes Fridays that much better. I wish you’d do more to turn your properties like ‘hot air’ into more of a news station like ‘fox online’. But I understand how much effort that would take, and I’m happy for you that you get to take the captains chair of the most successful cable TV show for a day a week. Good luc . . . er ah, break a leg?
Sounds like a good show, I’ll have to get that honey-do list done early so that I can watch!!!! Border fence? What border Fence?
You need to include:
Shennagians in the House of Representatives
Romney’s Hezbollah comment
Yearly Kos fascist tactics
Too bad the show is only 1 hour.
Well, I imagine it was probably roughly the same thing the guy who floated himself into the air on a chair with hundreds of helium balloons attached thought.
“Wouldn’t it be cool if. . . .”
“I’m glad you’ll be talking about the bridge collapse. Maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll pull a body out on your segment.”
You’re right, Gregory, that was a tad on the sick side.
Especially on new media/internet re;ated topics, it’s good to have a “hip” host.
His literal screaming the whole day of Paris’s court date made an already idiotic non-story even more unwatchable.
st_james - are you referencing the air head that’s on Fox around noon? She asked one “expert” yesterday three (3) times if he’d seen any bodies? Each time the answer was the same, “no, they hadn’t gotten that far yet.” She snapped off questions to him like he was under suspision. Put on slow jazz to keep from sending off a burning e-mail. Later, O’Reilly ticked my off too. More slow jazz.
Ms. Malkin, good luck tonight and we’ll be watching as well. You are a breath of fresh air…..
Correct, Dersu. It’s something that will be fresh in the memories of folks in these parts for a long and the recovery is still going on.
But, as with all tragedies, time and life goes on.
Friday night with Michelle. What could be better? Well on second thought, you could leave out the Bill O’ out yells some leftist re-run segment, and cover something current. . such as “KOS shouts down a soldier during free speech convention.”
Heh. “Kos” likely led the thugs in his patented “scr-w them” chant afterwards. Can’t you just feel the love and support for the troops?
Michelle debating the Kos guy, that would be much better than Bill reruns.
Looking forward to the Friday night show with Michelle. I hope there is time to cover the Democrats cheating in the house vote.
Better than Monday NFL football! But sadly only one hour long. I know she has a family so can’t do a 3 hour tv show. Did anyone see the Dem senator from MN on Fox today. She ranted on about levys not being built for Katrina, money misprioritized to Iraq as causes for the bridge collapse. when challenged she backed off but still ranted the party line talking points. What a creep!
I understand that Michelle has to follow the BOR template, it is his show afterall.
But that would be a great smackdown wouldn’t it? I’d like to see the candidates asked if they share the Kos “scr-w them” attitude re: loss of American life in Iraq.
Michelle on the Factor is always a great thing, even if she has to show BOR reruns.
Looking forward to it.
Edwards. Heh, what a fop!
The last real man in the Democratic party - Hillary Clinton! LOL.
Michelle, I, as a former military man, also share your concerns over the loose application of the terms hero, heroism, and heroic. It goes along with the excessive use of medals and awards in the military. I believe that Pat Tillman was a very brave man, but no more heroic, maybe even less, than a friend of mine who left his job, wife , daughter, and special need s child to serve in the Middle East and he also was a volunteer. Not trying to rile anybody up! I have the utmost respect for the truly brave men and women who perform acts of heroism and are duly recognized. But not everybody does that.
MM,
Watched the factor, it was your best summer Malkin Factor this summer. The best guest was Lt.Col. Peters. He hit it out of the ballpark. Mr. O’s segment supported your show. You were able to smash the arguments of the open borders guy at ever turn. The funny man at the end was the icing on the cake. Red is your best color. Bill who?
BOO-FREAKEN-HOO!!!!!!!!!
Michelle you keep getting better with each show. Great show tonight, liked the “hero seg” best. I don’t think he understood what you were trying to say, went right over his head. Fighting a war for your country and the people of Iraq is a good thing. For that we should be grateful we have such people we call Americans.
Peters is a great knowledgeable guest.
You looked great, hope that’s not too sexist a comment, even the wife said so … LOL
RE: Michelle’s verbal dissection of Mr. Morones
Wow….just….wow….
Loved the piece with LTC Peters also love reading his articles, yet I believe LTC Peters said that JFK received the CMH (Congreesional Medal of Honor) which he did not. John F. Kenedy did receive the Navy and Marine Corps Medal as well as the Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal. The Navy and Marine Corps Medal and Purple Heart were award for his action when his PT 109 boat was struck by the a Japanese destroyer. Thought I just clear that up. See when the Democrats compare Obama with JFK one thing is wrong the word VICTORY eludes Obama and the Democratic Party.
Michelle,
When you have that Professor on he is so much more easy to watch and listen to, then when Bill has him on. I don’t know how you do that but listening to him last night, it didn’t make me turn the volume down.
Jarhead
Thanks for saving me the time to look that up this morning, as I was pretty sure that JFK did not receive a CMH …
As for last night, due to work commitment I only got to watch first 45 minutes but it was great …
Morones (spelling resembles MORONS … huh?) … was good … no kow-towing to his rambling talking points and BS … way to go MM …
Lt. Col. Peters just got added to my list of REAL MILITARY EXPERTS right along side Colonels Oliver North and David Hunt …
Great Show …
Michelle is really becoming an indespensible voice in the mainstream media (yes, I did say MSM, because we have to remain solvent on the fact that Fox is also the MSM, lest we allow the issue to fall into the hands of those that would belittle the only fair and balanced reporting network in the mainstream media.)
I agree that she left Mr. Morones grasping for thoughts as well as words. Beautiful vivisection of a guy who admittedly wasn’t ready for prime time.
TV Critic: I do think Michelle fares a little better when we see that charming smile a bit more often, but it’s easy as an audience to pull her in 50 directions at once, and tough to be the one who gets pulled. That being said, a very fast and effective hours worth of issue discussion and analysis. First rate.
TV Critic II: We need to remember that Michelle is often set up with that the programmers arrange, but I for one could do without more interviews from the Half Hour Newshour guy. He’s funny on the show, but he isn’t quick enough on his feet to make things work in last night’s venue. The same thing happened when he appeared with o’Reilly some months back.
But Michelle was at her best as an archer last night on Mr. Morones. Bullseye.
Michelle you are getting a lot better now.
I 100% agree with Mr_Conservative_Cat that you do need to smile more. The first couple of times I watched you on the Factor you seem to have a mean angry look which distracted from your points and issues in my opinion.
You are getting a lot better now with keeping your facial expressions neutral when talking about a topic and keep up the good work. Even better then a neutral expression is smiling like was mentioned.
Michelle has the facts on her side and she’s smarter and quicker than most of the guests. Any academic or “civil right activist” guest is used to talking to people who either agree with them or are too scared to disagree. Michelle writes articles every day that will be critiqued and fact-checked by her own readers, she holds herself, and is held to, a higher standard (and I’m not just sucking up to mama bear).
I like Bill, but sometimes his conclusions don’t flow as freely from the font of logic as one might hope and so his arguments fail. Michelle’s problem early-on seemed to be an occasional timidity or perhaps politeness that her guests would take advantage of. She didn’t have that problem last night. In fact, looking again at the Morones clip, I’m inclined to restate my earlier metaphor of “verbal dissection,” I think “rhetorical colonic irrigation” might be more accurate.
