Michelle, If you could rearrange your entire television schedule around the fact that I have Sabbath dinners on Friday night, that would be appreciated. Other than that, I look forward to watching you on Tivo around midnight. :)

I am not sure if this is worth ever discussing on air, but I received an email solicitation today from the Hillary Clinton campaign asking her to help combat “enemy propaganda.” The enemy was Dick Cheney.

The word propaganda is normally associated with Joseph Goebbels, but even beyond that, here is how I replied:

    “Mrs. CLinton,

The fact that you consider Dick Cheney an enemy and not an opponent reinforces every negative perception about you. I like Dick Cheney. I dislike you.”

The enemy is Al Queda and other terrorists, not an American leader trying to fight them, which Bill Clinton failed to do!

I know it did not come from her directly, but she is responsible for everything that every low level staffer on her campaign does, the same way I root out hate speech on my blog because I value my brand.

    Good luck tonight Double-M!

LeMay interrupted him and said,”Son let’s get a few things straight here….the Russians are the adversary…the enemy is the Navy.”

    bridge collapse politics

This is inevitable, everyone gets the hots for stuff like this. It is like that ING commercial with the cat stuck in the tree. The politician on the phone says, ‘part of my platform will be to build a platform to save the cat.’ Until the woman on the bench opens a can of tuna, or something. Hilarious! But, this sort of thing is, unfortunately, part of the structural tendencies of our politicians and media. Heck, even of ourselves.

    John Edwards’ petard

If this is about money and politics, who and where it comes from, and whether it should be returned is ridiculous. Money is the Mother’s Milk of politics. Invariably there will always be something negative to say about any individual. You should return that money because that guy is a reckless driver and has over due parking tickets. You’re a scofflaw supporter. LOL. Give me a break.

    immigration enforcement and employers

I really wish someone would ask a supporter of illegal immigration, ‘how many more people should be let into the country?’ There has to be somewhere around 200 million people in Central and South America. Should they all be allowed to enter the US? Only half of them? Once they buy into and agree on principle of a number, then the argument moves to, how about zero.

    Macho Man Obama

If it is in relation to his Pakistan comments I hope the questions include. Should OBL be captured? Should Mullah Omar be captured? Should the perpertrators of 9/11 be brought to justice? Was Pres Bush correct in saying, ‘we will go after terrorists and their supporters’? Was Pres Bush correct in saying, ‘dead or alive’? Did Pres Bush place any caveats on going after the terrorist, i.e., we’ll go after the terrorist except the terrorists in Pakistan. Does Sen. Obama believe that we should have gone into Afghanistan? Does Sen. Obama believe we should have gone into Iraq? Does being for one front on the GWOT and not for another make him a flip flopper? What is the difference, and is that difference 9/11? Does ‘acting on’ (that’s his quote) mean - 1) boots on the ground, 2) CIA and hired tribesmen, 3) an inter-continentel ballistic missile, 4) invading all of Pakistan, or just the uncontrolled by the Pakistani Govermnet frontier province of Waziristan, 5) cutting aid to Musharraf, or 6) going to the UN to have them wag their finger.

More often than not, it is about the questions.

Michelle, I, as a former military man, also share your concerns over the loose application of the terms hero, heroism, and heroic. It goes along with the excessive use of medals and awards in the military. I believe that Pat Tillman was a very brave man, but no more heroic, maybe even less, than a friend of mine who left his job, wife , daughter, and special need s child to serve in the Middle East and he also was a volunteer. Not trying to rile anybody up! I have the utmost respect for the truly brave men and women who perform acts of heroism and are duly recognized. But not everybody does that.

Michelle is really becoming an indespensible voice in the mainstream media (yes, I did say MSM, because we have to remain solvent on the fact that Fox is also the MSM, lest we allow the issue to fall into the hands of those that would belittle the only fair and balanced reporting network in the mainstream media.)

I agree that she left Mr. Morones grasping for thoughts as well as words. Beautiful vivisection of a guy who admittedly wasn’t ready for prime time.

TV Critic: I do think Michelle fares a little better when we see that charming smile a bit more often, but it’s easy as an audience to pull her in 50 directions at once, and tough to be the one who gets pulled. That being said, a very fast and effective hours worth of issue discussion and analysis. First rate.

TV Critic II: We need to remember that Michelle is often set up with that the programmers arrange, but I for one could do without more interviews from the Half Hour Newshour guy. He’s funny on the show, but he isn’t quick enough on his feet to make things work in last night’s venue. The same thing happened when he appeared with o’Reilly some months back.

But Michelle was at her best as an archer last night on Mr. Morones. Bullseye.

I 100% agree with Mr_Conservative_Cat that you do need to smile more. The first couple of times I watched you on the Factor you seem to have a mean angry look which distracted from your points and issues in my opinion.

You are getting a lot better now with keeping your facial expressions neutral when talking about a topic and keep up the good work. Even better then a neutral expression is smiling like was mentioned.

Michelle has the facts on her side and she’s smarter and quicker than most of the guests. Any academic or “civil right activist” guest is used to talking to people who either agree with them or are too scared to disagree. Michelle writes articles every day that will be critiqued and fact-checked by her own readers, she holds herself, and is held to, a higher standard (and I’m not just sucking up to mama bear).

I like Bill, but sometimes his conclusions don’t flow as freely from the font of logic as one might hope and so his arguments fail. Michelle’s problem early-on seemed to be an occasional timidity or perhaps politeness that her guests would take advantage of. She didn’t have that problem last night. In fact, looking again at the Morones clip, I’m inclined to restate my earlier metaphor of “verbal dissection,” I think “rhetorical colonic irrigation” might be more accurate.
