I do not for the life of me understand how you can sit there and say “I’m a lawyer and that’s not the way it works” when demonstratedly that IS how it works. Get your head out of your… law books and look out the window at the real world is working not how it’s ’supposed’ to work.

Was listening to Mike Savage yesterday. He feels that the charges are justifed. Lack of respect for the muslim faith, blah, blah, blah. But he further backs this up by saying that laws need to be passed to protect the bible and the flag, etc, etc, etc.

While on a gut level I understand what he is saying and would like it to be wrong for people to descrate the flag and the bible, where does it stop?

Can not then any group start claiming sacred items that need ‘hate crime’ protection? Does throwing your ex-husbands L.Ron Hubbard books into a dumpster then become a hate crime?

Isn’t the blasted place (USA) PC enough without creating entire wings of prisons for people who disrepected someone elses religion?

As we discussed on another recent thread, some people should simply be shown the door when they get too impolite in someone’s own home, insulting not only the home owner, but the owner’s guests who are there because most feel some kindred feelings toward the host. That’s real world, face-to-face reality, and we if had a little – or alot – more of it on the internet, we’d find ourselves beset by fewer undisciplined guests, fewer KOS wannabes, fewer terrorists and fewer child molestors. The internet needs to get out of fairy-land and into the real world, and only a bit more policing will do that – just like in the real world.

At least Chapoutier had the sense of self-pride enough to exit on his own accord.

This is probably a tough call for the owners of this board, because the more hits they get, the more revenue they can generate from advertisers and trolls and other malicious internet creatures are a good source of controversy and hence ‘ratings”. However, it gets tiresome having to fight the same endless left-wing BS spin here as in the real world, and I’d call upon the hosts of this board not to kill the golden goose by allowing too many malicious trolls to dirty up the place.

Dessent is one thing. Perpetual left-wing hijacking along with uncalled-for personal insults is quite another thing entirely, and begins to make the room feel as dirty as an anchor’s chair at CNN, and that’s plenty filthy enough for anyone.

On Topic: I like the vid for one reason only: it’s the tough talk the libs have been giving for 40 years with the advantage of being 110% more intellectually honest. Good taste? Not necessarily. A point well-made? You bet.
It always makes my heart leap when Conservatives come out from hiding from their own shadows and speak as loudly as the opposition, only with truth in hand while they do it. Bravo, and much, much more of the same, Garcon.

I did not know that it was trying to prove anything, no one took a oath on a Bible or koran. I thought it was just trying to be funny while making a point for the producer.

You know, truth is kind of hard to get a good hold on.

In a court room, from what I have seen,
opposing lawyers tell you the truth. But one of them is lying. Why not put the liar on trial for lying to the court.

The VERY LAST thing I will say on this is I am all for presenting facts or truth in a funny way. What that video said was an outright lie. No one seems to have refuted that point. 95% of your posts can be summarized by this: “yeah…its a lie, but it was funny and meant to prove something else so its okay to lie.”

If thats how you hacks roll, then fine. I’ll find rational debate elsewhere.
