    I also hear stories about how people from other parts of the world are given Visa’s arranged through companies and are worked extremely long hours, and treated unfairly because their Visa depends on the company paying them (usually much less than they pay others), so that they have no choice but to put up with unfair treatment if they want to stay. This apparently is not limited to people from south of the border that ‘do the jobs Americans won’t do’!!!!

    I understand that Atlantic city has many Russians working there. Can it be that the casinos are finding that their jobs are ‘jobs Americans won’t do’ – - or is it just possible that they can pay these poor people much less money to do the jobs. Why not — other industry does it. Our ‘leaders’ might want to consider that setting up a system to treat immigrants like serfs might not be the best way to enhance the reputation of the US around the world.

    Corruption in the UN should not be any surprise to anyone. It should be expected.

    I am certain that there are many, many people who come to this country and disappear – - regardless of their Visa status. Nothing is done about it by the feds who supposedly were going to guarantee enforcement of their latest ‘immigration bill’.

    We need to fix the immigration process — provide Visa’s for those people that are an enhancement to the country and enforce the status of those that are granted Visa’s. And of course, fix the borders.

    I think any corruption story that has the UN attached is simply seen as par for the course anymore. No one is in the least surprised, in fact, I would say we have come to EXPECT corrupt behavior from the UN. It simply isnt “new”, sadly.

    Ted Turner on the other hand lauded the UN cease fire negotiations during the Israeli/Lebanon dispute ‘bubba’ (when Hezbollah kidnapped Israeli soldiers in an unprovoked attack). It turns out that Hezbollah was a week from surrendering – now Hezbollah is as strong as they have ever been. . . so much for the UN being a positive influence on the world.

    KICK THE UN OUT OF THE US! STOP PAYING US DUES TO THIS RIDICULOUS INSTITUTION.
