I say move the UN to Geneva. Some of it is there already. Get the UN out of the USA.
Also, I wish we would stop sending so much of our taxpayer money to the useless UN.

Look who gave the land so the United Nations building could be built. As long as control of American money stays outside the control of Congress, the UN will stay right where it is.

Hold on to your weapons.

The UN needs to be dismantled. Senator Helms stated as much 15 years ago. He was right then, he is right now. Helms got railed as a bigot for saying that. Critics said that he was over the top in stating we should not pay our dues and we should not allow them to operate in the US. Bono thinks Helms is cool. So do I.

Ted Turner on the other hand lauded the UN cease fire negotiations during the Israeli/Lebanon dispute 'bubba' (when Hezbollah kidnapped Israeli soldiers in an unprovoked attack). It turns out that Hezbollah was a week from surrendering - now Hezbollah is as strong as they have ever been. . . so much for the UN being a positive influence on the world.

KICK THE UN OUT OF THE US! STOP PAYING US DUES TO THIS RIDICULOUS INSTITUTION.

Why do we still belong to this group of thugs?

Give them a 30 day eviction notice, withdraw our membership (and associated "dues") and get them out of here.

Corruption in the UN should come as no surprise to anyone.

It also shows how corrupt and out of control our Visa program is in this country. I just heard this week about a young girl having a Visa arranged so she could come from Bosnia and be a lifeguard in a city around DC. I was under the impression that work Visa’s were to enable the US to bring in those workers that we were ‘in need’ of to do certain work.

Lifeguard!!!! I think we can get lifeguards without importing them.

There are many stories about how people from other parts of the world are given Visa’s arranged through companies and are worked extremely long hours, and treated unfairly because their Visa depends on the company paying them (usually much less than they pay others). This apparently is not limited to people from south of the border that ‘do the jobs Americans won’t do’!!!! I also hear that Atlantic city has many Russians working there. Can it be that the casinos are finding that their jobs are ‘jobs Americans won’t do’ - - or is it just possible that they can pay these people much less money to do the jobs. Why not -- other industry does it. Our ‘leaders’ might want to consider that setting up a system to treat immigrants like serfs might not be the best way to enhance the reputation of the US around the world.

Didn’t get much attention

I think any corruption story that has the UN attached is simply seen as par for the course anymore. No one is in the least surprised, in fact, I would say we have come to EXPECT corrupt behavior from the UN. It simply isnt "new", sadly.

Lifeguard!!!! I think we can get summer lifeguards without importing them.

I also hear stories about how people from other parts of the world are given Visa’s arranged through companies and are worked extremely long hours, and treated unfairly because their Visa depends on the company paying them (usually much less than they pay others), so that they have no choice but to put up with unfair treatment if they want to stay. This apparently is not limited to people from south of the border that ‘do the jobs Americans won’t do’!!!!

I understand that Atlantic city has many Russians working there. Can it be that the casinos are finding that their jobs are ‘jobs Americans won’t do’ - - or is it just possible that they can pay these poor people much less money to do the jobs. Why not -- other industry does it. Our ‘leaders’ might want to consider that setting up a system to treat immigrants like serfs might not be the best way to enhance the reputation of the US around the world.

The number of different classifications for a Visa to the US is staggering. There is actually a lottery for Visa’s for this country. a lottery!!!! Check out http://www.numbersusa.com/PDFs/Immigration%20Organization%20Chart%2001-07.pdf

Corruption in the UN should not be any surprise to anyone. It should be expected.

I am certain that there are many, many people who come to this country and disappear - - regardless of their Visa status. Nothing is done about it by the feds who supposedly were going to guarantee enforcement of their latest ‘immigration bill’.

We need to fix the immigration process — provide Visa’s for those people that are an enhancement to the country and enforce the status of those that are granted Visa’s. And of course, fix the borders.

The UN is the biggest organization of criminals in the history of the world. Every corrupt, brutal, repressive country in the world belongs to the UN. How would you like to live in a town where all the criminals were members of the police force? Is it any wonder that it is also corrupt through and through?
