CAIR Watch: More bullying, more terror ties
Fresh off trying to shut down Robert Spencer’s YAF speech, CAIR is back–desperately trying to defame Spencer by associating itself with a lying lunatic.
Meantime, the terrorism trial in Dallas that should be front-page news continues and Steve Emerson reports on the latest CAIR-HAMAS revelations:
In testimony Tuesday, FBI Agent Lara Burns reported before the jury in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was listed as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, right alongside HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), and the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR). Agent Burns further testified that CAIR received money from HLF – a claim that Nihad Awad blatantly denied in a congressional testimony in September of 2003.
Burns also said that both Omar Ahmed and Nihad Awad, CAIR co-founders who today serve as CAIR’s chairman emeritus and executive director, respectively, were also listed as individual members the Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee in America.
Awad and Ahmed are further connected to the Palestine Committee based on their positions as president and public relations director of the IAP, a Hamas front group that was responsible for the dissemination of propaganda, and has since been closed down as a result of a multi-million dollar civil judgment in a trial involving the murder of an American teenager by HAMAS terrorists.
CAIR, which touts itself as America’s premier Muslim civil rights organization, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial. Burns’ testimony so far has placed both Ahmed and Awad at a 1993 Philadelphia meeting where the HAMAS members and supporters discussed a strategy to kill the Oslo Peace Accords, which threatened to marginalize HAMAS. The group also discussed ways to improve HAMAS fundraising in America.
Government testimony regarding the role of CAIR reflects the prosecution’s attempt to prove that the HAMAS network in America was established through the Palestine Committee, or what the indictment called “a sub-group of active Muslim Brotherhood members of Palestinian origin.” The leader of this Committee was Musa Abu Marzook, a Specially Designated Terrorist since 1995, and Hamas’ current Deputy Political Bureau Chief. Through this committee, a number of organizations were established to promote HAMAS politically and financially, including HLF, IAP and UASR.

While reading this ( preceded by MM’s comment of “the terrorism trial in Dallas that should be front-page news continues…” I was reminded of something.
Remember just before the 2006 elections when all over the news were the stories of some Right-Wing Preacher who was having a homosexual relationship? I don’t recall his name….
My point is – something like THAT makes the news day after day ( right before an election – and gone shortly after ) – But here we have this trial going on, with links to CAIR and terrorism – and the MSM is silent?

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer! What info have we gathered on persons who have donated money to CAIR? Other intelligence? They may be doing more to help than harm. They really do tick me off to the ‘nth degree though. What really gets my blood boiling is any politico who gives CAIR 5 minutes time. That only lends them some undue credibility.

can anyone explain to me why the ACLU leaps to everyone’s right’s execpt for Americans’??? I’M an American and I’m extremely offended by CAIR not allowing me to express myself as an American. Is the ACLU going to leap to my defense for my right to say that I don’t like Islam being forced upon me? Somewhere along the line didn’t freedom of religion come up??? Helllloooooo??? Anyone???

You obviously think the A in ACLU still stands for American. Nope, it stands for “Anti” as in Anti Christian Liberal Union (my personal favorite).

The “funny” thing is, that long ago immigrants came here from all over the world and through hard work and sacrifice, made America the strongest nation on earth. Now all immigrants want to come here in order to change America to their ideology, and create the weakest nation on earth. I believe that’s what CAIR is shooting for.
CAIR is a terrorist organization. The fact that they do some positive things is like saying Hamas builds schools.

Good point. The mafia has always done some positive things, as well, to gain a better public image. It was easier for people to look the other way when they committed crimes because of the “positive” things they did in the community.
