I’m beginning to think it’s payback.

On Day 1 of the crackdown, the ICE computers at LAX melted down and people were stuck on planes for over six hours.

“You want enforcement? You got enforcement.”

How long before the airlines demand ICE stop checking?

Unfortunately, there are more people who support the thinking of Cebada than the MSM wants us to know. When you’ve been brainwashed to think that the land is really morally and ethically yours, then even the people with best of intentions see such speeches as correct and morally justifiable thinking. 94 days for employers to "comply" once an illegal is found working there, with no arrest, or so says the Washington Post today. Bush Announces Plan to Improve Immigration Enforcement That's plenty of time to make up some new numbers, and a new identity for the "employee". And what's even more funny: This article claims that the SSA sends 130,000 "no-match" letters to businesses every year. Yet, if you search on Earning Suspense Fund, you will find that $6 Billion (yep, that a "B") is contributed every year. If we assume the maximum contribution for every employee of @$6000 per year. That would give over 1 million illegal Social Security contributers! Now, given a pay rate of, oh, $20,000 a year, that would be 5 million people illegally contributing to Social Security. Just the tip of the iceberg, though, as there are an estimated 20 million illegal Social Security Number users currently in the United States $6 Billion a year to the US Treasury to help with Social Security insolvency is a very strong reason to ignore the problem. And that does not account for the collections via IRS tax law that never has a Tax Form claimed against it (more found money for the Treasury!) Meet the new slavery folks. Just take some of the old anti-abolitionist articles from before the Civil War, and replace the common phrase "negroes" with the new phrase "undocumented workers", and the arguments are essentially the same. Just amazing how history repeats itself as America drives to another great divide. Illegal Immigration is building, with all the recent local laws passed, to become the next great "State's rights" stand.

Just heard Newt on FXNS say that he will call on Pres (later today) for a special session of Congress to address
the Newark execution-style murders of four young students.
He wants a law so that anyone arrested in USA to have a background check to see if they are legal or illegal.

No not as horrible as Carter but a disappointment when it comes to supporting his base over the wishes of a foreign nation. We can’t forget that Bush respects the 2nd amendment and a child’s right to life even though he’s been at odds with the American people over illegal immigration, corporate outsourcing of jobs and unfair trade practices with China.
