On November 15, 2006, ESPN reported that U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, a former mayor of San Francisco planned to sponsor a bill to prevent the 49ers from retaining any reference to San Francisco in their name, preventing gameday shuttles to Santa Clara and other provisions if the team were to move away from San Francisco.

The next time they have a disaster and plead for help from the government, I hope the military tells them to call a hippie. San Francisco has been a jewel in America’s crown in history. They have come up with more innovative ideas than any other city. Golden Gate was financed locally, the Bay Bridge is an amazing piece of architecture, their street cars were state of the art and necessary when they first made them.

As someone above pointed out, you can see the Blue Angels from many vantage points within the greater bay area, and if the Blue Angels are your bag, there is probably no more beautiful a place in the country to watch them.
