Comments on: James Ujaama pleads guilty

I am missing something, maybe someone can explain -

Ujaama was in jail beginning in 2003 for two years, getting out in 2005. He hung around for a year and left the country in 2006.

My question -

Why hasn’t the Government put Hamza al-Masri, Oussama Kassir and Haroon Rashid Aswat on trial in that three year window? They were indicted. The indictment makes extradition from our ally, England, fairly straight forward. What is the Government waiting for?

I saw a dude that looks like him standing at the corner with all the other illegal aliens waiting to be picked up for a job. I wonder if he was armed, and full of hate.

I better go hide under my bed, and wait for someone to protect me. I don’t think the second amendment exists anymore.

Well, I can see giving a plea bargain in exchange for testimony against “Captain Hook” in London and some other higher level types. And it looks like they made him surrender his passport, hence the fake one.

Probably should have clapped on an ankle tracking bracelet…

I wasn’t referring to them as ‘warriors’ in the true sense of the word, or to depict them in some sort of noble manner – far from it.

My point was more that our liberal society wants to treat these acts of war as crimes – therefore lessening the psychological impact upon us and lulling us away from the true level of danger.

How does a citizenry survive when they’re being plotted against by warriors and want to treat them as criminals?

Warriors? Methinks not. They are terrorists. Traitors (if American citizens) and spies perhaps… but not warriors.
As to their treatment – one of the problems we face today is the irresponsible judiciary and inadequate corrections system… if prison time meant “hard” time instead of coddling it’d have a better deterrent effect.

Where IS the money coming from for all these young Muslim travelers to jet all over the world? NY Times doens’t have a reporter with the skills and tenacity to look into that? Maybe they don’t have the money.
