Factor-less Friday
I’m off tonight from the usual summer Friday guest-hosting duties. (They’ll be airing a 1/2 Hour News Hour special 1/2 of a Factor with John Kasich and a “Body Language” marathon following that.) My kids are thrilled because it means I’ll be with them for the biggest cable TV event of the summer at 8pm. Nope, nothing on Fox News. It’s the Disney Channel premiere of High School Musical 2!

Good news for your kids, bad news for those of us that look forward to “Friday Night With Michelle”
Well there goes my weekend.
Kids are important.

I remember at the end of “Unhinged,” when you said…”To my munchkins…let’s dance!” I found that to be very warm.
I know that you keep your personal life very guarded (understandably so), but my mother said you were married to a Jewish fellow. Regardless of his level of religiosity, which will never be my business, please extend to him a good shabbos from me. A peaceful weekend to you and your bambinos as well.
Lastly, I received antisemitic hate mail today from a Jewish organization today! They call themselves “Jews against Zionism.” I was wondering if you could check it out when you have a chance, because it is nightmarish stuff, and because it is coming from Jewish people, I do not want people to get misinformation. The blogger is on wordpress, and goes by “Underboss.”

Well, I might get taken out to dinner instead of the Friday night cookout with MM. For a minute there I was thinking about stomping my little foot and throwing a hissy fit via an e-mail to Fox. I’ll be good though since it’s a night with your kids.
Well, now that I’ve thrown my fit, I do hope you enjoy your time with the little ones. They grow up faster than you can imagine. And every moment you can spend with them is precious.
So, are you going to be on next week?

The Little League World Series, a must see for all the Kids, and Kids in us as well…
You will be missed by us all. Too bad there will be loads of people tuning in without knowing. Boy, are they in for a surprise!
Having raised 5 kids myself, I understand. Don’t blink, they will be in college before you know it.

Taking care of my three year old is the hardest, most rewarding job I’ve ever had. I have a lot of respect for moms of this country. Have you ever tried to put a three year old in a car seat properly? What a freaken nightmare!!!!!!! And don’t even think of forgetting her favorite teletubbie!!!!!

I’d have watched High School Musical 2 anyway. The young lady in the lead role’s almost as pretty as MM, and she sings. I just hope she has sense enough to follow in Annette’s footsteps and not Britney’s.
Oh, please, stop with the “yikes” and one teenager. I had 4 teen age girls at one time. I have earned every gray hair on my head and I have a load of them!

I have no children, and the reason I know this is because my parents remind me about it. Then again, I am glad to have parents. Only now do I realize that between 2 middle class incomes, a mortgage, and grocery bills for a boy who was nicknamed “the great white shark,” how tough a job it is.

Enjoy your time with the kids because you’ll blink and they will be teenagers. You’ll blink again and they’ll be in college. Believe me time flies. One day you’re changing diapers and the next you’re helping them pack for college or at least that’s how I remember it.
Besides, you’ve earned the weekend off. Enjoy it and thanks for helping me out. You’re my hero.

Well I’m disappointed. I hope that you aren’t being ‘put in your place’ by the network for doing something wrong (ie confronting the mustache). I hope that this is OK with you.
I know that the ratings will not be nearly as good without you than they would be with you. Sometimes people are happy to have time off, but sometimes people are coerced to take a vacation.
I hope things are still good with the network. Hopefully you’ll get your own show. The Greta thing is getting a bit tired. She is nice and everything, but I’d much rather see a political show that you’d do than her legal show more in line with ‘court TV’.
Enjoy the day off, and tell Fox I won’t be watching BECAUSE you won’t be on tonight at the 8:00 slot.

The situation reminds me of the final verse of a tune by some obscure group - I don’t recall their name - from back in the 1980s, the song title was “TV Party Tonite” (lyrics freshened up a bit to reflect the present predicament):

My parents are in Sowf Florida. They had the butterfly ballot in 2000. my dad commented afterwards that world peace had broken out.
“Son, isn’t it great that elderly Jewish Holocaust survivors had the courage to let bygones be bygones and vote for Pat Buchanan? World Peace has broken out.”

My granddaughter wanted to rush home from dinner tonight to see High School Musical 2.It made me laugh,remembering how many times I sat through such classics as Grease 1&2,and Dirty Dancing with her mother.We will miss you tonight,but enjoy your time with your children.These are the days that will be cherished.
John Kasich is not up to what I am used to.
But a rerun of Mrs Doubtfire is on ABCFM.
And I have went back and looked at some VENTS, those are timeless.
Hurry back MM, but we all know how important family time is.
So enjoy it, it is a good investment too.
My 3 grown kids were just babies a few years ago it seems.
They started out asking for candy, as they held tightly to my hand in the grocey checkout line.
Then they wanted my cars keys, just to go for a ride with their friends.
Then they brought home that special love that emptied our nest.
Now they hold my hand and look lovingly in my eyes as they ask, “Dad do you have your will made out”.
How dare you Michelle abandon your fans to take time to be with your children!!!

I had a call of an armed man barricaded and I thought, oh no I’ll be tied up and will miss MM on the Factor tonight. It ended quickly with no one hurt and I got home just in time to take off the armor, vest and get into my shorts, flipped on the tube and there was John whatshisface. Eeeek! Rushing to my blog fix I found out why and my blood pressure is back to normal. I have similar feelings as an earlier blogger about negative action taken against MM by the network. I certainly hope not. Enjoy those kids, I wish I’d spent more time with mine although they turned out fine and have kids of their own.
