Any MM fan will always give you a pass, so you can spend more time with your family.

I hope you and your children have a great night doing whatever you are doing.

And I have went back and looked at some VENTS, those are timeless.

Hurry back MM, but we all know how important family time is.
So enjoy it, it is a good investment too.

My 3 grown kids were just babies a few years ago it seems.

They started out asking for candy, as they held tightly to my hand in the grocey checkout line.

Then they wanted my cars keys, just to go for a ride with their friends.

Then they brought home that special love that emptied our nest.

Now they hold my hand and look lovingly in my eyes as they ask, “Dad do you have your will made out”.

And the 1/2 news hour is funny, as they say laughter is the best med for what ails ya!

My parents are in Sowf Florida. They had the butterfly ballot in 2000. my dad commented afterwards that world peace had broken out.

“Son, isn’t it great that elderly Jewish Holocaust survivors had the courage to let bygones be bygones and vote for Pat Buchanan? World Peace has broken out.”

Or this gem…

“We are on the verge of a constitutional crisis, and what is everybody going to do? Blame the Jews. Sadly, this time they will be right. We are so educated that we can’t read a ballot.”

Lastly, this cringing remark…

“Son, if your mother and I ever get to a point where we cannot figure out a ballot, or are too feeble to push the thing through…euthanize us, the house is yours. Old people at some point have a duty to die and get out of the way, and that includes your mother and me.”

Thankfully my mother vetoed that notion, and it will not be brought up again.

I suspect people who are remotely entertained by what I say will be slightly more so with this.

Ok, off to engage in behavior that will not force my parents to change addresses or their last name.

The situation reminds me of the final verse of a tune by some obscure group – I don’t recall their name – from back in the 1980s, the song title was “TV Party Tonite” (lyrics freshened up a bit to reflect the present predicament):

“Hey, wait a minute, Michelle’s not on tonight!”

[chorus] “She’s got a life!”

“What are we going to do tonight? This isn’t fair!”

[chorus] “We’re hurting!”

[all together] “We’ve got nothing-better-to-do;
- There’s no Michelle, and just a couple of brews.
What are we gonna talk about?
- I dunno!
We’re gonna miss our-favorite-show!
No TV party tonight…”

But if anyone has earned some personal/family time, Michelle, it’s you. Frankly I’m amazed at how you do so much in any given 24-hour period.

Have a great “night off.” You’ll be missed.

I know that the ratings will not be nearly as good without you than they would be with you. Sometimes people are happy to have time off, but sometimes people are coerced to take a vacation.

I hope things are still good with the network. Hopefully you’ll get your own show. The Greta thing is getting a bit tired. She is nice and everything, but I’d much rather see a political show that you’d do than her legal show more in line with ‘court TV’.

Enjoy the day off, and tell Fox I won’t be watching BECAUSE you won’t be on tonight at the 8:00 slot.
