Friday Factor and Friday Fun

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 24, 2007 12:02 PM

Summer’s wrapping up. I’ll have three more guest-hosting stints in the No-Spin Zone–tonight, Monday, and Tuesday. Good news: No Lindsay Lohan! We’ll be following up on the Newark murders, criminal illegal aliens, the Washington state ferry/FBI lookout story, and more. Tune in at 8pm Eastern.

Meantime, I’ve been able to squeeze in some fun and games this summer. Check out our Wii Vent at Hot Air. I’m crazy about Wii. Great for sedentary bloggers. Plus, you can use it to access the Internet on the TV and catch up on your blog reading/Hot Air viewing in between Wii tennis matches.

Current Wii Fitness Age: 29!

Second that sentiment; if there’s only three more installments of The Malkin Factor in store for us, then I’m feeling rather like the “Hicks” character in the movie “Aliens,” whose most memorable lines were:

    1. “What are we gonna do, man? What are we gonna do?!?”; and

    2. “Game over, man! Game over!!”

If Michelle doesn’t get her own show on FNC, then I can only conclude that there’s a Goddess, but no God.

I don’t think the words “Muslim” or “Middle Eastern men” were used in the FBI report published by King5 (from your initial post 8/21/07). So I guess the term, “two men” now offends the easily offended and sensitive religious group?

Pretty soon will there be no media at all due to potential offense?

Exactly, AlohaGuy. It amazes me that these Blue on Blue incidents are treated as calculated events by Anti-US Brits, as if we are gleefully trying to kill UK forces on the battlefield. Happened with the A-10 incident in OIF, now with the F-15E in OEF.

I have also heard that some are equating dog fighting with hunting. As to equate hunting with dog fighting does not wash with me. Yes hunting is a sport, yet hunting dates back to when man lived in caves, when it was a necessity. By God in some parts of this country it still is; Appalachia for example. For most hunters it is a relaxation, you could be out hunting deer and not run into a deer all day. While you are hunting you have time to think, look at your beautiful sourndings, etc. Dog fighting one dog lives and one dies becuase it lost. So to equate dog fighting with hunting I don’t think so.

The whole point of being a good hunter is a clean kill, meaning that your marksmanship will be merciful to your prey, the ideal being a single well aimed shot that takes down the prey with minimal suffering. Also, hunters will use what they catch to feed their families.

This dog fighting stuff is nothing like hunting. It’s the Roman Colusseum, only animals. Bloodsport, the more injury and gore the dog can survive, the better the “entertainment”. Don’t forget the gambling aspects of this either. Organized crime loves anything that can be wagered on. It’s just brutal, and sick. Nothing like hunting.

Oh it’s illegal, also. Hunting is not.

re: Washington State Ferries. I am a frequent rider of WSF. I expect the local, state and federal police to protect me and the ferry system. I am very glad that the FBI has asked the public for help. I would stop buying the PI if I hadn’t already done that years ago.

Your guest, Hussien Ibish, is as closed minded as they come. He is himself, by his unfounded and illogical accusations of bigotry and profiling, a true bigot. And if the FBI had asked one of these groups for “permission” to post the pics, they would have come totally unglued (as they always do). He has/they have continuous PMS – Perverted Muslim Self-righteousness.

Last month I bought a new camera, and have taken a lot of pics on the ferries recently. But I certainly didn’t visit places on the boat where I shouldn’t have been. These guys do look familiar, but I can’t say for certain. I did check all my recent photos to see if they were in any. They were not.

Let’s assume for a minute that I was one of these guys and was a student of ship building or marine transportation, or something where I had a true but innocent interest in the specifics of the ferry and its operation. I would NOT be wandering around “acting strange”. I would contact WSF and ask for a tour. I’m sure something could be arranged.

Finally, if I saw my photo in the news, I would think, “Hey, that’s me – how cool is that?” Then I would contact the proper authorities and have the issue closed. If I saw my photo and did not come forward, it is an admission that I have something to hide. Since these guys have not come forward, and no one has been able to identify them (as far as we know), it would be more logical to assume that they are from out-of-country, or live “underground” with less-than-noble intentions.
