Craig press conference: Stepping down to “pursue legal options;” “I apologize for what I have caused”
Update: Here’s the vid. Scroll down for more comment.
Quick and scripted, here a few rough notes on Larry Craig’s press conference, just ended:
“I apologize for what I have caused. I am deeply sorry. I have little control over what people choose to believe…to pursue my legal options as I continue to serve Idaho, would be an unwanted distraction from my job and my colleagues…These are times of war…with sadness and deep regret…I announce that is my intent to resign effective September 30.
(Breakout of applause.)
…I apologize for being unable to serve out a term to which I have been elected…I hope you do not regret the confidence you have placed in me all these years…”
Large crowd of supporters surrounded him on a hilltop. He was accompanied by his wife. Gov. Butch Otter also attended alongside Craig.
When Craig announced his intent to resign, Democrat detractors in the audience cheered and hollered.
WaPo:
Idaho Sen. Larry Craig resigned Saturday over a men’s room sex sting, bowing to pressure from fellow Republicans worried about a scandal dimming their election prospects.
“I apologize for what I have caused,” Craig said.
Craig’s resignation completed a stunning downfall that began Monday with the disclosure that he had pleaded guilty to a reduced charge following his arrest during a sex sting in a Minneapolis airport men’s room.
Although leading members of his own party had called for him to step down, Craig steadfastly resisted resigning for days, contending that he had done nothing wrong and that his only
mistake was pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge.
Idaho Statesman reports on other public officials who came out to support Craig:
Sen. Larry Craig, surrounded by his family, Gov. Butch Otter, State Schools Superintendent Tom Luna and Congressman Bill Sali, resigned from the U.S. Senate, effective Sept. 30.
He thanked his family for supporting him, and thanked Idahoans for letting him serve as senator. “I am grateful for the opportunity they have given me.”
“What is best of Idaho has always been the focus of my efforts,” Craig said. He said pursing his legal options while serving as a senator would distract from the business of Idaho.
Responding to reports of the last week, he said only: “I have no control over what people choose to believe.”
Craig pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Aug. 1 after his arrest in June in a police undercover operation at an airport men’s room. And while he has since said he did nothing wrong, the episode roiled the Republican party and produced numerous calls for him to step down.
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said from Kentucky that Craig “made a difficult decision, but the right one. ”
“It is my hope he will be remembered not for this, but for his three decades of dedicated public service,” McConnell said. McConnell had been one of Craig’s harshest critics, calling his actions “unforgivable.” He and other GOP leaders asked Craig to give up his senior positions on Senate committees on Wednesday, a day after they asked the Senate ethics committee to investigate his actions.
Craig spokesman Sidney Smith said he didn’t know if Craig would return to Washington. “We haven’t decided that yet, whether he’s going to return or not,” Smith said.
The WashTimes examines the political impact: “Amid the blogospheric frenzy over that juiciest of subjects, a Washington sex scandal, the reality of politics moves forward. The scandal that forced Idaho Sen. Larry Craig’s retirement, combined with Virginia Sen. John Warner’s announcement that he will not seek re-election, have boosted Democrats’ hopes of expanding their Senate majority next year.”
And, in the end, the GOP has no one to blame but itself.
Accountability: Accept it. Learn from it. Deal with it.
Judging from this morning’s press conference, Larry Craig isn’t ready to do any of that. Republicans in Washington, however, can’t afford to wallow and fight lost battles.
Move on.

1:30pm Eastern. More observations…
Regarding the applause at the press conference, Fox News Channel’s Major Garrett reported that it was Dems who clapped (and probably supporters who countered with “We love you!”). As for the purported GOP sexual double standard with regard to Sen. David Vitter: If Vitter had been charged and pleaded guilty to an offense similar to or graver than Craig’s, I’m sure GOP leaders would be calling for him to resign in the very same way that Craig was called to do so. The libs who keep harping on double standards conveniently forget that it was and has been Republicans in Vitter’s home turf who first blew the whistle on his extracurricular activities. Reminder:
Christopher Tidmore of Metairie, now a Republican candidate for the state Legislature, wrote the Louisiana Weekly article five years ago about Vitter’s relationship with Canal Street brothel prostitute Wendy Cortez. Vitter continuously denied any relationship. Tidmore said Vitter has tried to sabotage his career since he wrote the article.
“For five years, David Vitter conducted a pattern of lies. Now, we know it was to conceal a pattern of behavior,” Tidmore said. “He has to strongly consider his next action because his remaining in office will be very damaging to the people of Louisiana and to the State Republican Party.”
So far, Vitter has managed to avoid further questions about his admission of “sin.” He better enjoy the Labor Day holiday. When he gets back to Washington, I have a feeling he’ll be feeling the post-Craig heat.

Still in Denial, should we throw him a Pity Party? Get some help Sir.
Maybe he’ll have time now to play footsie with his wife. She must be going through agony over this idiot.
Democrats have no class.
And the media feeding frenzy, now helped by our own in the blogosphere, tried and executed someone…
Nice job folks.
And yet, we have a sitting Congressman who is under indictment… for having Cold Cash…
another named Clinton who should be indicted for perjury…
Another named Pelosi, who should be up on charges of graft for sending contracts directly to her husbands firm…
this guy plays footsies with an undercover cop, did nothing illegal (tapping your foot in the john is illegal?) and you have destroyed his carreer and reputation over it.
I truly question the sense of proportion I see in the media, and now on our own right wing blogs.
How silly these Republican scumbags are! They should know that the best thing to do is to resign right away. Somehow these freakin’ RINOs start thinking that – because they *act* like Democrats – they will be treated like Democrats. WRONG. The Deomcrats are *always* going to get away with their unethical and criminal conduct until the Republicans grow some back bone and find a way to keep the Democrat scum in the spotlight night & day until *their* sorry carcasses are forced to resign.
Romeo13
I must beg to differ with you on one point about which you are making a broad generalization … that is who is doing what and to whom in regards to the bad behavior amongst the Washington DC crowd …
There has been no “free pass” to anyone from either party when they screw up bigtime from this site or any other conservative site …
The difference is that the Republicans take corrective action …
the DemoCraps take evasive action …
If the Dems applied the same standards to themselves that they want to apply to all non-Dems we would have one Hell of a lot fewer of them still in office …
As for Craig … he plead guilty to a lesser charge in what was obviously an attempt to sweep it under the rug so no one would know about it … he hadn’t even told his wife and family that it happened … they found out the same way the rest of us did … through the media …
Yup, R13. And the problem is only compounded when the guy who tapped his foot in a “john” is run outta town but the guy who is a “john” is staunchly, albiet nearsightedly, defended for his crime.
But it might have been a gay thing, doncha know? Can’t have that.
I want to know when Barney Frank who ran an underage page male prostitution operation in his home, will be resigning.
When will Diane Feinstein be resigning for steering no bid contracts to her husbands company to the tune of 1.5 billion dollars?
When will the Justice Department finally start Jefferson’s Trial for taking 100k in bribes and when will he be resigning?
When will the Justice Department start the prosecution of Hillary Clinton for accepting foreign campaign contributions and we know she will never resign even he she was accused of murder?
Larry Craig is a scum bag and he will not be voting for comprehensive immigration again and will not be teaming up with Diane Feinstein with her latest amnesty package for illegal agriculture workers.
Is Senator Vitter, being charged with a crime is he going to trial for anything? I don’t think the Democrat Party, could stand up to a tit for tat. We out yours, you out ours…that kind of thing. The upside to this political gotcha, we would be draining the DC swamp, SMILE.
I think if the new criteria is “yeah, but he didn’t get caught in flagrante delicto”, the bar has been lowered to the embarassing Clintonian-level of “what is is” parsing standard.
With very few jurisdictional exceptions, e.g. Las Vegas, being a “john” – in Vitter’s case, a longtime and regular one – is a crime.
The underlying and ongoing vexing problem, Laree: if the GOP is determined to excuse, much less defend, such activity in light of the headlong rush to oust Craig then it’s just begging to be rightly scorned and ridiculed on that account.
If it worked that way in real life, yes. But it doesn’t. The focus, until the next election, will be soley on the GOP and the ouster of Craig was just the not very well thought out beginning.
purplepeep
sorry to burst your bubble there but being a “john” in Vegas is a crime … also a crime in Reno … those are the 2 counties in Nevada where prostitution is not legal …
Scratching my vacation to Vegas and Reno right now, lol.
Thanks for that info. I know there are some “ranches” in NV and just assumed it was permitted statewide. Like Indian Casinos. I’m guessing it’s probably a county or municipality thing then.
I’m (thankfully) hampered by not having any experiential knowledge of the business of “working girls”.
I do know they don’t give out free samples, though – money has to exchange hands. One thing you can say about Craig – he wasn’t paying for it!
“I want to know when Barney Frank who ran an underage page male prostitution operation in his home, will be resigning.”
“The focus, until the next election, will be soley on the GOP and the ouster of Craig was just the not very well thought out beginning.”
Yes, and yes. And if we want to win elections to both further conservative values as well as keeping what modicum of same we still have from being eaten away by liberal legislation, these two points are emblematic of where our focus needs to be. Debating who is perfect is cute, but if we want to keep any kind of a foothold politically so as to save what little vestage remains of broader, once common political values (who could have imagined 20 years ago that manger scenes in thge town hall could have been driven out on a rail in the US judiciary?!)it seems to me that staying on target politically, not so much socially, is where we need to be – since society is very much governed, of course, by its legislation.
My take: keep it practical, and yes, the double standard is where we need to be as well. In that regard, I’d like to very respectfully break ranks with host:
“ If Vitter had been charged and pleaded guilty to an offense similar to or graver than Craig’s, I’m sure GOP leaders would be calling for him to resign in the very same way that Craig was called to do so. The libs who keep harping on double standards conveniently forget that it was and has been Republicans in Vitter’s home turf who first blew the whistle on his extracurricular activities.”
What democrats and republicans say and do would matter in that way only if we lived in a media vacuum. We don’t. We live in a media world in which conservatives are treated with a high degree of political prejudice. I won’t use the term “bias” because that’s too nice in the abstract. One cannot be biased to one side without some degree of prejudice to the other, and in the case of the current MSM, the prejudice amounts to a never-ending witch hunt. Approps that:
“So far, Vitter has managed to avoid further questions about his admission of “sin.” He better enjoy the Labor Day holiday. When he gets back to Washington, I have a feeling he’ll be feeling the post-Craig heat.”
Unless it’s you on Fox, Michelle. If there is any at all, it’ll last about 10 1/2 seconds.
More and more I am absolutely convinced that the Dem politicians are not the problem, it’s the liberal media which is the true enemy of this country, because in a fair and balanced media world, the extremism – which is now considered “center” – would just vanish in a more civilized (read balanced) society.
It’s not so much the message anymore, but the messenger, because the messanger has, collectively, so to speak, taken it upon “itself” to not only favor one message, but to spin the context of all messages.
Somehow, some way, this has to stop. And the best way to get a foothold is to stay practical. Guilani on abortion? Not good, but better than Hillary, etc etc etc. I’m not saying trash the value system, but this thread seem to be split in comments between idealistic and practical, and for God’s sake (perhaps literally?) let’s stick with the practical.
And on that note, won’t someone with a prominent media voice raise the outrage on the cowardly elitist behavior of the Democrats for running away from the only tough questions they’ll ever get in this election – on Fox News? Craig may be important, but he’ll be gone tomorrow, and the Dems will still be there almost entirely unchallenged, and that’s very important.
Well, MrCC, if you have a Santa or an angel ornament in a public park it means that Congress is establishing a state religion.
(Yes, I’m being sarcastic)
But…but…but… on June 5,2007, speaking to Sean Hannity, Fred Thompson said THAT is a “TRIVIAL MATTER”, and in the opinion of OUR FOUNDING FATHERS (according to FRED THOMSPN) doesn’t rise to the level of impeachment – said Fred Thompson, former Watergate prosecutor.
However, as a mother of 2 sons – I assure you that I take the security of Public Facilities very seriously, as I also do the issue of high ranking public servants who think that even PERJURY is all fair in the pursuit of high corruption and abuse of power – and both men will NEVER pay enough on THIS EARTH for the damage they have done to the health and safety of American citizens from predators among us, to Craig for contributing to the degeneracy of public facilities, and to Clinton for the use of “BIMBO ERUPTION COMMITTEES” towards the furtherment of his “right” to abuse power and private citizens AS HE SEES FIT, and thus promoting the idea that PREDATORS HAVE RIGHTS, TOO, BY GOLLY! GOSH DARN! And that doesn’t mean they aren’t nice, too! SEE???
I must say, I am disapointed by this whole affair. What people are going to see and hear from the liberal media is that the GOP is an intollerant Party, disgusted by homosexuals so much that they ran Craig out. It won’t be about him pleading guilty to a misdemeanor. It will paint the GOP and Conservatives as bigots and homophobes, pure and simple.
The Dems will attack us over this non stop for quite some time, and continue to make us look bad. Rather then showing some compassion and restraint, we sent this man on his way. For shame! It may be that we hold ourselves to a higher standard then Democrats, but we are supposed to be nicer and truly more compassionate, caring, inclusive people. I am ashamed to say I vote Republican today.
#15 william teach
Boo Hoo, It wasnt about Gay or Straight. He broke the law in a digusting manner in a public mens room for crying out loud. He’s a pervert plain and simple. Get over yourself.
And that is exactly the kind of attitude that the GOP will be portrayed as having: thinking gays are perverts.
William Teach said: It will paint the GOP and Conservatives as bigots and homophobes, pure and simple.
Since when is performing sex acts in a public bathroom being homophobic or some how showing the bigotry of the GOP?
I am sorry for you that you think performing sex acts in a public bathroom in an Airport is supposed to be tolerated.
If Craig had been allowed to to continue, I assure you he would have been charged with far more than disorderly conduct.
The police officer did him a favor before he whipped it out or he got down on his hands and knees.
I for one do not need to see this kind of activity in a public restroom and neither do my children.
For you to say we needed to give him our compassion and restraint is outrageous to say the least.
If the liberals and MSM think this is acceptable to anyone, in either party, they are living in a “dream world”.
I am shocked you think otherwise.
I’m touched that all the liberals posting here are so concerned about the Republican party, but maybe you should stop being so darn selfless and spend at least a little time worrying about the bad people in your own party.
My wife and I were glad our Senator Larry Craig resigned and sent him a letter to thank him for doing the right thing. Now if we could only get Democrats to do the same. They break the law and then continue to get re-elected. No wonder the liberals disgust me.
The police officer has probably already entered negotiations for a book.
Ummm… tapping your foot is a SEX ACT???
Dam… I must be gettin off right now then…
It was a sting op, with a guy looking for behaviours that I, as a 48 year old well traveled Retired military male who grew up near SAN F’N Frisco didn’t know was considered trolling.
My key point in this whole thing is that we no longer defend our own, or attack those who do worse. We are so busy with “apperance” that justice gets thrown out the window, and we throw our own to the wolves to appease the Media.
Tom Delay is STILL waiting for his day in court, and the media say nothing. Hmmm… interesting thought… Repubs get ruined for things that are NOT agianst the law, while Dems get a Pass when they break the law… we need to go on the OFFENSIVE here… and not against our own.
ALso, regarding Vitter, lets not forget something…
Vitter’s transgression was done, most likely, in private.
He wasn’t looking for hookers in public restrooms.
That, to me, is the big difference.
Why doesn’t anyone care who leaked an obscure police report on a misdemeanor to the Hill reporter? All the other stuff aside, there is something else not right with this picture.
I just saw a Tiger Woods commercial where he’s sitting on a bench in a locker room. He’s alone and fully clothed but tapping his foot and with a wide stance.
What a difference a week makes.
I have no idea if Craig was guilty. But if anyone seriously believes that the GOP will get credit for racing to toss one of their own under the bus, I have a certain bridge in Brooklyn that is for sale – cheap.
Maybe at some point it will occur to the brains who run the GOP that there is an MSM-enforced double standard in Washington. Democrats can get away with rape (Clinton), gun smuggling (Webb), murder (Kennedy), assault (McKinney), bribery (Murtha and William Jefferson), earmark abuse (most of the Democrat Congressional delegation), and outright treason (almost the entire Democrat Congressional delegation). This has been true for at least half a century, and you would think that they would have noticed by now.
I don’t expect the Republican leadership to “pull a Democrat” and defend to the death its guilty members. But it would be nice if the next time Democrats and their MSM handlers start their pompous strut about how morally and ethically superior they are that GOP leaders would, you know, at least think about point out that the present Democrat Party leadership and senior membership seem to be starring in a new trashy video called Congresscritters Gone Wild.
What a wonderful thought – the Stupid Party’s leadership at least a tenth as hard on Democrats as it is on their own members! Of course, they would not be the Stupid Party anymore.
Romeo13 is right – there is a reason why Delay’s case has vanished from the MSM’s radar. Travis County DA Ronnie Earle (who brought the charges and shopped around for a gullible grand jury) is frantically trying to keep it on life support until after next year’s elections.
Yet, he wasn’t caught doing that. He did nor perform any sex act. Had he been busted for that, no, I would not support him. But right now, the GOP will be painted, yet again, as anti-gay and intolerant in the media.
Yes, I believe it’s true that more Democrats are criminals than Republicans are. I’m still glad to get this piece of scum out of the Senate.
The Republicans need to leverage the volume Democrat crime & ethics problems to their own advantage, rather than sitting silently by as the Democrat media hypocritically parades Republican “issues.” Every single Republican news conference should have an element that highlights Democrat sleaze. Every time Bush opens his treacherous mouth, he should proclaim the criminal activity of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
It’s a disgrace that Democrats are winning the integrity battle!
Sublimal advertising is supposed to be illegal. No telling how many people got wildly aroused and rushed out to buy the product, all because of foot tapping.
Someone should be a really good moral crusader and propose a ban on all tapdancing. Nip it in the bud, I say.
The thing there is the GOP is now put in the very embarassing position of having to defending Vitters’ prostitution habit, which took his ongoing fondness for brothel-visiting from his State office all the way to the US Senate.
“Transgression”? I think Michelle used the term “sin”. (yup, just checked) I don’t know if an attempt to frame it that way will silence what will surely be a loud and growing call for Vitters’ ouster.
I can not believe how this how case was handled by the media and both political parties in this country. I also notice this case has silence the media with the Mr. Hsu case that is as big as the Abramoff case.
How sad for them. But if they CARED about our “TOLERANCE”, perhaps they should have tried to gain acceptance through VOTES to knock down Societal traditions and laws, instead of OLIGARCHIAL COURT RULINGS.
They clearly don’t care what anyone thinks, and if you are going to guide your character values by what DIMS think of you, you have serious problems indeed.
I could care less what the Dims think – but I do care about the degeneracy being argued to be tolerated in public facilities where I take my children, when there is NO WAY ON THIS EARTH I would have ordinary access to private and SAFE and HEALTHY facilities.
The duty and obligation of my public servants is to uphold standards that are vital to the interests of my family – NOT TO KNOCK THEM DOWN, Clintonian style.
So funny, the first place in my entire life I heard the idea that homosexuality was not TO BE CONSIDERED a perversion was from a 1950’s STALINIST AGENDA that was published into the Congressional Record on January 10, 1963. An agenda for the destruction of America.
What is YOUR source that it is NOT a perversion?
You think you could win an election of that Proposition on a ballot before the American people?
Because the Democrats KNOW they cannot!
The Dims are NOT the Social Arbitors in America they want to make you think they are!
Funny, the man has had since JUNE to be marketting the tape, and is not the one who outed Senator Craig. And apparently no one ELSE in that jurisdiction did, either, since the case was resolved in court on August 1, and it didn’t come out til this week.
What you just did is a calumniating insinuation – slander of a government entity doing his job properly, and by that, I refer to the police officer, since what Senator Craig did was NOT a proper activity for his office.
I wonder why you feel compelled to slander the police officer in this case?
You had many options in your choice of response, in a manner to express your distaste of what the officer did, but you deliberately chose slander. I wonder why.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
No, police blotters and court rulings are traditionally in the press, at all times, that we have NO SECRET POLICE ACTIONS.
Since the arrest was June 11, and the hearing at which he pleaded guilty was August 1, the wonder is that some journalist DID NOT CATCH THE INCIDENT, at the time it was committed and adjudicated.
AND THAT IS VERY SUSPICIOUS, TOO! That a SENATOR – Public Servant – could commit a crime and plead guilty to it, pulling down a one year probation and fine, and the General Public NOT BE INFORMED of it, in DUE COURSE!
No. Tiger was ALONE, and tapping his foot ON THE FLOOR.
He didn’t have it UNDER THE STALL WALL in an invasion of someone else’s space, and tapping ON ANOTHER MAN’S FOOT! in a series of three different signals.
Is there something wrong with your reading comprehension?
Fine with me.

Why would Dems cheer his resignation? Seems to me they would be better served by his continuing refusal to step down?
How Major G. know they were Dems? Seems odd. Although, the lazy eyes are usually a giveaway.
I’m not sure I buy the defense of Vitter.
How is Craig’s offense graver than Vitter’s?
What he actually pled guilty to is about the equivalent of a traffic ticket. Vitter on the other hand is an admitted whoremonger.
This was a no win situation for the GOP, if the Dems are not painting us as anti-gay then they paint us as supporting a perv. And if he is innocent then why did he plead guilty? Would you have, I know I wouldn’t had.
Could not agree more, but it will take more then Fox to turn this around. The folks that don’t watch Fox will never know any bias.
No they don’t, he is my Senator and I have personally called his office and asked him to resign, even if he doesn’t I doubt he will run again, and if he does he will not win. The thing here that is so important is not weather these guys are pervs or whatever, it is the simple fact that these transgressions often lead to blackmail. I think the world of Vitter as a person and politician, he has been very good for the GOP, but what would of happened if Kennedy or Reid found out about this? We cannot afford these kind of politicians.
Aint that the truth
“purplepeep – The thing there is the GOP is now put in the very embarrassing position of having to defend Vitters”
Hiya general co. -
I meant Republicans as a group, the GOP. I thinks it’s great that you had your say as an individual and a constituent, not just someone caught in a mindless Frankenstein monster chase mob. In these type of things the people who vote ‘em in can show them the door out – or not, if they want.
I dunno about the blackmail part too much, general c – though I imagine the potential is there, I’m not aware of any statistics or it having been a major problem with Senators.
If it were, I think it would be the secret money dealings that would a be better draw for blackkmailers.
First, because politicians love money more than sex – there’s more pickins’ to be had in money scandals for a potential blackmailer.
Second, the punishment for anything sex-related only involves serving jail time in vary rare cases. Not so with hanky panky with money. There’s more to lose than just a Senate seat.
I know there has been concern for a long time when it comes to the intelligence community having “blackmailable” secrets. I’m not up much on if there’s been any big or ongoing problem with federal office holders that way.
I find that part of Michelle’s argument in this post a bit puzzling too, derel.
I’m not sure what balances and measures determines being a long time serial “john” is not as big a deal as Craigs’ “foot-tapping, but no sex” Excellent Bathroom Adventure.
My big disagreement is in the massive bar-lowering in an attempt to defend and save Vitter. The “He didn’t get caught while commiting his crimes” excuse is obviously Clintonian in scope.
When you’ve got Bush/Gonzales trying to dismantle the Bill of Rights, most of Washington so corrupt they are actively aiding illegal infiltration and extending an invitation to terrorists, predators, and violent criminals to live among us, the untold billions of corruption in Iraqi reconstruction, and so forth, I can’t see why Craig would resign over a trivial morals charge. I guess hypocrisy is in such flower today in Washington that treason and destroying America for corporate sponsors is just a good family value.
Explain, how so?
Or maybe you are simply wrong, or have the wrong folks in mind. Either way you should get that BDS looked in to, it isn’t healthy.
Yea, keep believing this and it will continue. You ever look at a senators vote and ask yourself hmmm I thought he would had voted the other way? Term limits will eliminate most of this. Our state has had enough of politicians taking advantage of their office, for any reason.
I also believe that the reason Vitter came clean was because of the exact pressure I am referring to, (shamnesty probably) but thankfully he would not play ball. I also think that the reason Craigs story sat in limbo for 3 month was for much the same reason. Unfortunately we are forcing out our own, while letting the Dems skate along as if nothing happened.
I would list them for you Alphonse, but I am sure you have already justified them in you own head.
I am a little thick today
Alphonse, after reading your post/and mine,,,, again. I believe I owe you an apology.
“purplepeep said: I dunno about the blackmail part too much, general c – though I imagine the potential is there, I’m not aware of any statistics or it htinuefore it can “conaving been a major problem with Senators.”
Something has to occur before it can “continue”, general c. I mean in real life and not in a fantasy – which is all ya got, unless you alone are privy to a list of “blackmailed Senators”. Otherwise you could just as well claim that Venus wll “continue” to send UFOs to attack our cities and abduct our citizens to serve as slaves on their planet.
Well I must say that I do admire your unabashed faith in our (public servants).
Me, well lets just say I am a bit more cynical. I look at the incitements and convictions and seem to think it is more then possible, it is probable.
BTW, you think Hillary is taking all of that $ from felons without conditions?
Hey purplepeep what do you make of this
http://www.blogactive.com/2006/01/mister-senator.html
So let’s get this straight..Vitter is a client to a high priced hooker but because he more than likely, although we have no way of knowing, didn’t look for the hookers in a bathroom, than somehow that is better than Craig? Wow. Oh wait, he wasn’t actually caught in the act..is that what you mean?
