Yes, They're pretty far behind in court in Cali. Lots of useless laws to convict people of breaking. The local religious community (Christian, Muslim, and Jewish) came together to help support the Hamid's father, who lost his only means of support when his son was arrested. I suspect it is harder to convict a person of such a crime when they haven't actually attacked any people or facilities.
