Here's a hug...from another mother.
When you pick your child up after
school, that hole in your heart will
fill back up...I promise.

Michelle,
A year a go I dropped off my then two year old, for day care for the first time. That was a hard day. She cried when I left her. She tried to chase me out the door. I cried after. The Last time I cried before, as a Marine in Iraq. I'm at home with my daughter during the day, and at night I go to school. It's the hardest, most rewarding job I've ever had, next to being a Marine. I have a lot of respect for Mom's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle.

I was at Night of Hope at Disney this weekend and Steven Curtis Chapman wrote a new song called Cinderella (I think it will be on his next CD). You have to buy it just for that song. His girls slapped him back into reality on what is most important - their time.

Enjoy the kiddies, they grow up way too fast. My baby is 20 this year and I still can feel the first time I held her in my arms. I wish I could get that back. More time is never enough when it is gone.

Right now, I’m just a misty-eyed momma.

As you should be. Congrats or condulances. Your choice.

The news can always wait. But your family can't. Way to keep your priorities straight.

Yes! MM for PTA!!!! take back the schools- it's where it is goin down around here....the UN Code being passed off as the multicultural curriculum standard, forced Muslim prayer for 2 weeks during the "unit" on Islam in 6th grade. you name it, it's going down in our own backyards.

First challenge comes tonite when i write a letter "explaining" why we are not paying to have spanish language translators at the meeting. How's this "Because this is the United States where the official state language of education is EEN-GLEZ, baby.!"

Oh, how great. Teary eyed firecracker of a mom....PTA next?
2 to 6 is the BEST age imo. The stuff they start to bring home is priceless. Little hands in clay, paintings of horses (or houses, ask which it is first), just wonderful things.
Your husband must be a pretty amazing guy as well Michelle, as busy as you two must be.
God and family first, always.
Oh, and remember, they still think you're really cool too.

Time flies, doesn't it, MM?

Today my son is six months old...no where near ready for pre-school, but I can't believe how quickly time has gone by since that Saturday in March.

Been there three times for mine, three times for my grandkids...it is a truly heartfelt hurting day, but so full of joy. Take heart that at least you are one of women in this world that takes care of her family and us.

I just moved into my new house and I was going through some boxes the other day. I came across a box that was full of my daughter's pre-school and kindergarten crafts and drawings. I kept everything I could. I just got a great big box and added to it everytime she brought something new home. I guess I'm just a big softie when it comes to me Sweet Pea. Anyway, I highly recommend saving all of those little projects...at least the first couple of years.

At least somebody has their priorities in order!

That kid will grow up to be a very sharp liberal destroyer, if he's a chip off the block, as they say. Best wishes for the school year. Just wait 'till he wants a Camaro for his birthday!
