Wishing and believing are not enough. To listen to them, we've been about to win (last throes) ever since we went in. Why are they more credible now? Have their statements in the past (welcomed with flowers) proven accurate? Do independent observers report reductions in violence? (hint: no) So, the President wants to win in Iraq and may even believe we are winning (though many close advisors do not).

FANTASTIC idea of the President to meet with these brave milbloggers. They represent "us" -the supporters of this war and the military. I envy them!! I know alot of people are so ready for this President to leave office, but I, for one, will miss him. He successfully brought honor and decency back to the office after the last President. And he has proven that he is proud to be the Commander-in-Chief of this military....the greatest military on earth. I wish I could meet him! I read bout this at Blackfive and the others.
