“Hill bill footed by Hsu” Gotta love the New York Post’s headline writers. Thankfully, what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas:
Members of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign staff got a nice payoff last year for their work to get her re-elected - a trip to Las Vegas funded by her fugitive former fund-raiser.
Among the Sin City guests of disgraced former fund-raiser Norman Hsu was Patti Solis Doyle, one of Clinton’s most trusted advisers who now runs the senator’s presidential campaign.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Hsu - who raised more than $850,000 for Clinton before being jailed last month on charges related to an investment scheme - treated the senator’s campaign staff to several days at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, complete with free show tickets and dinners at posh restaurants.
Doyle was accompanied by two junior staffers and a New York-based fund-raiser, the report said.
In April 2006, Hsu provided a hotel stay in Las Vegas for two other campaign workers.
Doyle also received a coveted and pricey designer handbag from the disgraced moneyman, the newspaper said. But she returned it.

As they look back, Clinton staffers say Hsu’s efforts to ingratiate himself seem painfully, embarrassingly obvious. In addition to the post-victory trip to Las Vegas in November 2006 for Solis Doyle, two junior staffers and a New York-based fundraiser, Hsu provided a hotel stay in Las Vegas for two other campaign workers in April 2006.
While at the Mandalay Bay, Hsu took at least some of his guests to a favorite bar, Red Square. It features a huge statue of a decapitated Lenin at the entrance, and the top of the bar is sheathed in ice to maintain the chill of the caviar and exclusive vodkas.
Clinton aides believed Hsu had gotten their rooms on a complimentary basis because he was a frequent visitor to Mandalay Bay, the aides said.

I wonder: if the MSM was covering this story as thoroughly as MM is,would it really have any effect on the Shrillary supporters?I doubt it ,after all when Sick Willy’s or Gore’s lies come out the Moonbats will always find some totally idiotic twisted logic to defend them.Sorry to be such a downer,but facts are facts.
I saw a graph not to long ago about comparing Hsu to Abramoff, but this is beginning to stink more and more than Abramoff ever did.
If this guy had done anything like this for any of the current Republican presidential candidates this story would be like the Jack Abramoff corruption story. Non-stop wall to wall coverage about how the money was spent, how much was raised and every straw donor would have their name on the 6 o’clock news every night! 6 months of news would be filled with this one story.
Heck you can still find Republicans in the news with a quick search and find Abramoff’s name still coming up. But once Hillary or any Democrat has some shill who was illegally moving millions through straw donors, well they were just innocent victims of a bad man!
And the MSM wonders why a vast majority of Americans are looking elsewhere for their news? It would be funny if it were not so sad and telling. Michelle is a ray of light in this mess because unlike these hacks she will expose Republicans for illicit behavior, not just one party like the so-called standard bearers do in protecting the Democratic Party.
Public employees and those who work for them should never accept any of these types of “freebies”. I have no clue whether this was legal or not, but it doesn’t matter - even if legal, it is unethical for public employees and those who work for them (even those in an election campaign, which I guess is really a private venture) should have the integrity to know they should not use the “power” of their positions to accept such obvious attempts by a single individual to influence the candidate.
