The Left’s seditious war on military recruiters
Today has been declared “Truth in Recruiting Day” by the far Left group, Iraq Veterans Against the War. You won’t be surprised to learn that the group that promotes fraudulent veterans is organizing a fraud campaign to interfere with military recruiters. Take a look:
HELP END THE WAR!
BEFRIEND A RECRUITER!Recruitment is essential for the military and politicians to carry out the war and occupation of Iraq. Recruitment levels are low thanks to “truth in recruiting” efforts, but now it is time to shut recruitment down. By flooding recruiters and recruitment centers with phone calls, appointments, questions, and smiling faces, recruiters will waste their time and resources on you. By calling and asking every question you can think off about all the false opportunities the military is offering, you are stealing away recruiters ability to do recruitment.
So call your local recruiter today, and make a new friend! Ask them to pick you up. Tell them you are hungry. Tell them you would like to get a drink and talk about your future. Hang out with them in their office. Call them on their cell and tell them your life story.
Warning: this campaign is not for the easily persuaded. Recruiters will want you to sign up. Let them know you are not ready, but really interested in talking about the possibilities.

In any other war, at any other time in history, these thugs would be universally condemned as seditious. But the intimidation campaign targeting recruiters has been allowed to flourish. It’s not just war memorials and flags under threat. It’s the military recruiter in your neighborhood.

Heck, they lie to the people they’re trying to get to help them. Military recruitment is doing pretty well, last I heard.
Somehow, I don’t think the strategy they’re describing will slow recruitment down all that much. The few times I’ve been to a recruiting office, the guys haven’t been very busy. I wager some of them will be happy to have something to help them pass their time.
It’s the government’s fault for not charging these people with treason. Leave an immoral act unpunished and it will flourish.

I am, and have always been, very much against the Invasion of Iraq. But this is too much. A strong military is vital for the future of this country and anyone willing to monkey around with recruiters is not keeping the best interests of this country in mind.
Why don’t we see how close we can get?

The left is “us vs. them”. In this case, all they want is to cause harm to the US which in turn will cause harm to us. They view the “us” that comment here on MM and other conservative sites that are supportive of the war effort as adversaries. They attack us and our way of thinking, and many seem to be willing to go to seditious lengths to do it. “We” have had enough and are no longer remaining silent to let them spew their hatred of America, and we are calling them out. So I don’t have a problem with what you view as “us vs. them” comments from right-leaning commentors here. It certainly doesn’t get as vile as commentary on prominent left-leaning sites…

I wonder - when they hand out Recruiting assignments and the word comes down “Jones - you’re going to San Francisco,” - do they groan loudly or is it a respectful quiet one?
Seriously, though - these people are attention-grabbing maggots. Suppose recruiting does suffer? Does that HELP our troops overseas? No - it prolongs their duty.
And what if something more horrific comes along and we need our Military forces to defend us? Will these slugs accept the blame for a poorly manned Military? Fat chance.

I would be surprised if anyone follows through with this “day of action”, and even moreso if they have an impact on military recruitments. To do so would require the sustained effort of thousands upon thousands of hippies. And believe me, I’ve known my share of hippies over the years. These people can barely get out of bed before 4pm, let alone do something that requires sustained motivation. It’s much easier to smash a Starbucks window than it is to pretend to be a potential military recruit for hours on end.

Watching that video, you get the idea that half of them were there protesting just so they could get pics and brag to their moonbat friends about, “being part of something great, man!”
Of all the protest interviews I saw over the weekend, not one had the same “facts” about the reasons they were protesting and many didn’t even have a coherent idea about what they were supposedly against. It began to sound like a game of Telephone gone bad.
The sad thing is, these seditious idiots get all the air time they want and need thanks to our MSM and the problem is broadcast all over the world as the supposed “voice” of Americans.

I’ve said before that we have every right to question their patriotism. They do not support the troops, they do not support this nation.
They want our military to disband and turn America into an anarchist, socialist state where rioting, chaos, and immorality rein supreme.

Why should we have to settle for “agreeing to disagree” with treasonous acts of sabotage? These people should be tried and duly punished. That they are not is an outrage.

The thing is - most conservative thinkers, when dealing with anti-war individuals, would be fine with “agreeing to disagree”.
However, when those same anti-war individuals commit acts which damage our military or country, or place our troops in harm, that is no longer an option.
Also - most of the liberals don’t know the meaning of ‘agree to disagree’ - they call anyone who disagrees with them facists or nazis.
There’s a difference between “agreeing to disagree” and accepting that they have a right to believe what they want.
Words however are a little different. When the spoken word provides aid and comfort to an enemy, it becomes a criminal act. Free speech is not unlimited. The big question today is will anyone in authority actually be willing to identify this treasonous speech as giving aid and comfort to the enemy and prosecute them
If that happens, Court TV will be the #1 rated network. Needless to say, the ACLU will have a hissy-fit, but it will be needed if we are to win thie War on Terror. In my opinion, the Iraqi ads of Code Pink and the Arab interviews by Dennis Kucinich come pretty close and may already cross that line.
Their words are used by terrorists to inflame our enemy and give them encouragement. That translates into American blood being spilled and that is unforgiveable.

The military is a career to many. That said, just what does the law or law enforcement say about people PREVENTING you from entering a job fair or a critical job interview? This is a roof-over-your head issue; do you just shrug and walk away from the “protesters” or offer a few knuckle sandwiches so you can earn a check?

If conservatives truly were the fascists/Nazis they claim we are, we would respond by arresting a few and shooting the rest. It’s a good thing for them that we’re actually the tolerant ones.
Now the question is, how far can they push us before our tolerance breaks? It seems to me that internet based (blog postings, comments, etc.) responses to their provocations have been getting significantly harsher over the last year or so.

The men and women in Iraq are highly motivated, skilled, and professional. In my opinion, it would be the worst possible thing to send one of these vipers among them.

One year before Lincoln’s re-election recruiting and draft officers were hung by rioters in New York that opposed the war with the south. Today we know that Lincoln and the Union Army saved the Union. The children of the rioters apparently are still with us.

I was watching TV last night (maybe KCAL 9) when a female CA State Assembly person came out with a statement like John Kerry’s… paraphrase “it has come to our attention that when a student is not doing well in the classroom that the guidance counselors will give a vocational aptitude test devised by the military”

The troops are stupid meme. Too dumb to do well in the class room and then to unintelligent to avoid signing up for the military. Only thing missing was connecting the dots all the way to “Genghis Khan”
Why does the left have this “savior” complex where they aren’t happy unless they are “saving” the country from Bush or “saving” the world from the United States or “saving” young people from a career in the military.

My dad was an Air Force recruiter in San Francisco from 1964 to 1967 he never had any trouble finding his quota of willing recruits. Matter of fact he would have to turn them away if they had two parking tickets. Back then we only took the best the rest ended up in the Infantry. You only had to be breathing back then to get drafted did not matter about your education. Even with the best and brightest in the Air Force then there was plenty of behavior problems with junior enlisted.
Our modern Military recruiters get to pick from only those individuals wanting to serve their country. They have absolutely no trouble meeting their quotas. The all volunteer Military is the most highly educated group of professionals on the planet and could hand any other country’s Military their butts if unleashed. The behavior of approximately 99% is beyond reproach the others are weeded out through attrition and dealt with by the UCMJ and separated.
I would love to see a couple of these idiots actually sign-up, but they would never survive Basic Training. They would probably get the vapors and pass out just from taking the oath of enlistment.
If they listen to that crackpot organization’s suggestion, that shows they are easily persuadable types.
Like others here have said, I doubt many of them are sufficiently with it to follow through with it.
If it’s a slow day at the recruiting office and they realize the potential recruit hanging around their office is one of these nutjobs, maybe they could have a little fun of their own.
Have the guy (or gal) do some calisthenics. Take him out to the parking lot, make him march under a hot sun (or in the cold). Tell him it’s standard procedure to make sure someone is military material and they can’t even begin giving him info until he’s done this.

I agree with DMC. I say let this day be one where Recruiters get to pick any suspicious recruit and smoke him. If he really is a serious recruit he will rise to the challenge. If he is an unoriginal, military hating hippy, he will probably faint.
