I love Jason Mattera’s look into the camera at the end of the video. It says “NAILED IT!”
I also love Murtha’s pause after the question wherein I am sure he was having a “Skid Mark Moment”.

Murtha is a coward plain and simple. It is one thing to have served then changed in your beliefs about war. It is another thing entirely to use your service as a platform to slander and attack the brave men and women who serve today.
I’d like to see a vet ask him that question so he can’t call chickenhawk.

Congressmen and Sentors have their own elevators next to the “regular” elevators throughout the Capitol.

Why is it Democrats apologize for NOTHING, but expect Republicans, conservatives, and America to apologize for EVERYTHING?
Didn’t you just “love” the way that Jack (I’m available for bribes another time) Murtha asked whether the “trial” was still going on for the other Marines? Gee, why didn’t he ask himself that question before he slandered the Marines at Haditha?

I can’t view the video, but from what I’ve read as far as comments, it seems that Murtha falls back on “I served…blah..blah..blah”
Having been raised by a Marine veteran of Iwo Jima, I can tell you right now that real Marines don’t spout off about their service at the first sign of a confrontation….
Many don’t talk about it at all. They quietly go about their business.
This guy is a disgrace.
Gurtha’s a coward plain and simple. Disgraceful, treacherous, corrupt, dishonest, the adjectives just keep coming.
He holds soldiers lives hostage to his own agendas while enriching himself and his cronies. Basically, doing exactly what he and his ilk accuse Bush of doing. So add Hypocrite to that list as well.

The interesting thing, to me, about that video is how small and insecure Murtha comes across as being. He cowers, adjusts his tie, looks at the floor … without his mommy, Pelosi, around, he’s a nobody.
It is clear that Mattera’s questions truly cowed and intimidated — maybe even shamed — him.
Keep at Murtha; he might visibly crack. He is very vulnerable. He’s a true loser, and he knows it.
Follow Murtha around the capital videotaping that reporter flashing through a series of cue cards that have poignant scripts. Here’s an example of what the cue cards might say as the camera has Murtha in the background of the Congressional chambers or wherever, rooting around like the boar he is.
Scene 1:Murtha walking toward elevator.
(Card 1-6, held by “interviewer” facing camera)
1. Hi, I am Jack Murtha and I am a pork lover.
2. OOOOOOOOreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
3. I will never apologize for calling our troops murderers.

Murtha needs to be retired. He totters along like he is looking for his hammock.
Would probably be stronger once the case is officially closed against all the Marines. As Murtha quite rightly says, the investigation is still ongoing with 4 of the 8 yet to be dismissed of the charges.
“Engaging was the only choice: the threat had to be neutralized,” he said at a small military courtroom in Camp Pendleton north of San Diego. “They were not complying and, in fact, they were starting to run.”
Other witnesses from his squad have testified that the Iraqis had their hands in the air and were not running. Marines did not find any weapons at the scene.
So - are those Marines wrong, lying or just like Murtha - not really Marines? Will HotAir/MM find them and ask them?
Don’t consume the sausage. This is the reason we threw the tea overboard.

Murtha is a doddering old fool and a coward. He has defamed our troops and should be held accountable. Pressure on him to apologize shouldn’t let up. Shame on anyone who votes for this horror of a human being.
Democratic presidential nominees won’t confront MoveOn.org or answer questions from the press or debate on Fox. Murtha runs from reasonable questioning about his stance on the Marines or the military’s performance. And these people are going to face down terrorists and their state sponsors and protect this country?

What an old windbag. I’ve written before of my previous admiration for Murtha during the 1980’s when he stood with Reagan on increasing the defense budget.
But he has gone so far over the top on Iraq that he should probably think about retiring and checking himself into a rest home.

He “served” a year in Viet Nam, but in the rear as an intelligence staffer — not a second of his tour of duty was spent in combat or even exposed to enemy fire. I for the life of me don’t understand how the charges could have been dropped or why so many people support the marines that were involved in the Haditha incident. When did gunning down a bunch of unarmed innocent people become okay?
Maybe John, it’s because we take the word of the Marines as to what really happened.
Because it wasn’t done with mallice. It wasn’t “in cold blood”, and John “Frelling Moron” Murtha would like you to believe.
When you have just come under attack, and you are clearing homes, you don’t take the time to think. Someone makes a sudden movement, you fire. You shoot to kill. Failure to do so means that somoene going for a weapon shoots yu or a fellow soldier.
Sorry to sound cold, but I care more about our Soldiers than I do anyone else over there. I want a free, peaceful Iraq, where the Iraqi people can live happy, safe lives, but ut the two next to each other and I have one thing to say:
“When the marines are cleari ng homes, lay the f*ck still.”

Because the Marines followed the rules of engagement. They did as they were instructed to do. They did not gun down “innocent civilians”, they did not gun down “innocent civilians” in cold blood as that traitor John Murtha has suggested. I strongly suggest that you reaqd up on the case before you make ridiculous statements like that again.

Furthermore, they were not innocent civilians. There has been considerable evidence released since this post that this attack was designed to create this very situation by AQI and the Iranian Quds force.
