And that number is roughly 4 times the total American casualties listed in the Dole-Shalala report, with almost 80% of those returning to battle with 72 hours. And that contradicts the TOTAL number of air evacs that left the theater of battle, which currently numbers just below 11,000.

And $3-4 trillion? Are you factoring in all the care for all beneficiaries, and the costs of the multitude of efforts to upgrade Federal Health Care Technologies? Please prove your numbers.

Do you really want to give up your freedom of speech, choice and religion? How about drugs, alcohol, and sex? Shall we repeal the freedoms we endowed to women? Or how about your rights to vote, have a job, own property, choose your living, get an education, have pets, eat what you want to eat, live without slavery or indentured servitude, listen to music, watch TV, go to a movie or a play, not starve, or even live?

Look at history (Iran hangs youths for having sex, and wearing tight clothes; Afghanistan under the Taliban banned music, took away books, banned women from speaking, education, or even showing themselves unaccompanied in public) before you ask so willingly to give up you freedoms again.

I’m a little older than you but my special girl picked me 36 years ago and stood by me through thick and thin. She put up with the Homicide call outs at 2 AM, the 36 hour days, working Christmas and other holidays, and even the phone calls from the Dr. letting her know that I wouldn’t be home at the end of my shift that day and that there would be a pollice car there shortly to take her and the kids to the hospital.

I became a commercial helicopter pilot and flew regularly for about 20 years . Then my health started to decline and I grounded myself about 4 years ago.

Anyway, I appreciate you guys and all that you put up with. You are all heroes in my book. I owe you a dinner too if we ever bump into one another.

It takes a very special woman to put up with an aviators life style. I was able to meet my soul mate while she was in the Air Force too. She was an Admin Specialist in the U-2 squadron at Beale AFB when we met and can’t believe she traded down to a Boom Operator when she actually had a shot at couple of the U-2 pilots that were head over heels with her also. She had a way of being able to deal very well when I was off in harms way. She told me she would only get upset if the Wing Commander and Chaplin showed up at the door and then I was in big trouble for getting myself killed. Such a great woman I managed to stay faithful to her for 25 years of marriage now. That’s saying a lot when looking at the behavior of some of the guys I flew with. We weren’t called “crew dogs” for nothing (LOL).

I’m third generation Army combat veteran but didn’t make it a career. I had an offer to fly Cobra’s for the MD National Guard after Vietnam but being a cop with 4 small children, my wife vetoed that idea.

It is the ultimate platform for close air support. When you positively absolutely need to kill it up close with pinpoint accuracy they do deliver. Loved their motto too, “Go ugly early.”

My road, if I ran the world: 25,000 sorties over Damascus- and let Iran watch. Destroy all of the Presidential Palaces. Destroy all government buildings and military training facilities. Wipe out all of the commercial transportation hubs. Decimate the airport in Damascus and every road, rail, and donkey path in or out of there. Eliminate all insurgent strongholds on the Syrian border with Iraq- and take out all of Syrias tanks. Let Israel hit them on and around the Golan Heights.

I’ve learned about that fiasco in the desert recently. It was totally FUBARed from the getgo. I bet that was hard for you guys when it went up in flames like that. Our people were being held by barbarians, and we should have got them back by force. Jimmah the Peanut Humanitarian screwed up everything during the whole hostage crisis, and I just hate that we lost some of our best operators in that disaster.

However, the military did learn from it, and now we’ve got some real serious gear in Special Operations Command that could do that mission today, probably with less manpower.

If there were to be strikes against Iran, there might be SOF guys on the ground with lasers on target to ensure very precise hits, given the importance of that mission. Somebody has planned it all out by now, deep in the Pentagon.
