I love Sally in a lot of her movies. However, this performance just demonstrates that being a movie star does not grant you the gift of "a brain".

Sally Field and her ilk more fit the "hand that cradles the rock." They are willing to throw rocks at the people who help protect them from the islamofacists of the world.

Like most celebrities they are clueless about the world outside of their privileged world and their entourage. They are however more than willing to throw rocks at others. Hence the "hand that cradles the rock!"

I think Mrs Gump's box of chocolates had nothing left in it but a liberal helping of "nuts" ...

As for the Boniva deal ... someone should notify the FDA we have discovered that there is an undocumented side effect ...

As Sister Betrille she was ok ... but Sandra Dee was a better Gidget ... I think the only really good movie she made was Norma Rae ...

IMHO of course ...

Sally lacks "perspective". She is obviously in pain. And maybe even has spent too much time under hot movie set lights for too long. It's cooked her frontal lobes. 8)

Sally’s still doing the penance set by her liberal Hollywood brethren for starring in Not Without My Daughter.

Good point. That was one of the most eye-opening films into the Iranian regime of the Ayatollah...

Bet if it got made today, there'd be riots.

If Sally wants Mothers to rule the world she would do well to remember who gave us Hitler, Idi Amin and countless other terrible scourge's.

She needs to remember that human monsters didn't appear out of thin air.
For most of them, their Mothers had a great deal to do with who they were and are.

Feminism is no longer about “choice”, it’s about doing what the feminists tell you or facing their rancor.

IMO, feminism never was about choice, it has always been about towing their line of BS or the name calling begins. I've been married for 35 years and when I raised my kids, I chose to stay at home until they were in school which made me stupid, boring and dimwitted according to the women who everyone was hearing roar. It was my choice and I wouldn't trade those years as a stay-at-home Mom for anything.

I am for women's rights, but I will NEVER be a feminist. In my book, it's a dirty word.

OK...I'm going to say it again..why are we wasting time on this silly little cow!? Except that it's fun to point out how ridiculous she really is. Remember the old.."you love me, you really love me!"....now THAT was silly too...so Sally hasn't changed in 20 years...just because you age doesn't make you wise...if you were stupid as a young adult, you will most likely be a stupid old person...Sally fits that bill...come on...it was another awards show put on by the awardees....can these over indulgent pampered over paid actors go for more then a month without giving each other awards?...what a joke...

Both raised eyebrows with their unorthodox sexual behavior (Elizabeth in not marrying,
Catherine, well, …).

But that was their choice and so far as the history books tell me, neither Elizabeth nor Catherine shoved their proclivities down the gullet of the people, so to speak.

Which modern feminism does.

And feminists are harshest with those they claim to "support" - namely, stay-at-home mothers and women who have more than 1-2 children.

Some of the most vile feminist rhetoric has been directed at those two groups because they don't toe the feminist line. After Michelle Duggar had her 16th child, women I a message board I used to frequent called her a 'dog' and voted to have her 'spayed'. It was disgusting and when I defended Mrs. Duggar's right to have children (that she can care for - based on the documentaries I've seen), I was told *I* needed to be sterilized because I was so 'close-minded'.

Feminism is no longer about "choice", it's about doing what the feminists tell you or facing their rancor.

Behavior such as this makes me think liberals like Sally Field and feminists have no true grasp of what it's like to be a mother and to live with the knowledge that you would do anything - to the point of throwing yourself over a grenade - to protect your child and fight tooth-and-nail to keep him/her safe. I believe they are so wrapped up in their own selfish pursuit of moral relitivity that they can't possibly extend beyond their own personal plane of reality.

Leave it to a liberal to make a point about someone's sexual behavior, but then when it comes to Bill Clinton--it doesn't matter what he did in the privacy of the Oval Office...

I was with three different combat units in Vietnam. I was a Marine, still am because as we say, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine". I love Sally, but she spoke as a fool who has not felt the pain of being looked down on because you did what your heart told you to do. I fought for my country then had my country turn it's back on me because I did it's bidding. I does not matter because I would do it all over again, even tho I would be the scapegoat. It was right then, it is right now. 58,000 brothers on the wall were right! God bless America, even tho it did not want to bless me and my brothers. Semper Fi.

As for modern feminists being softies, maybe you should go to San Fransisco and talk to the Dykes on Bikes.

Think you for making my point for me. Modern feminists want to destroy manhood. They want to crush it. For whatever sexual proclivities Elizabeth and Catherine had, they had the common sense to let men be themselves, because otherwise they would have been overrun by Spaniards and Ottomen.

Fact: Liberals want men AND women to be dependent upon them. Being a ward of the state is not the desire of a true man. Being reduced to sucking at the tit of a bloated socialized government is what modern feminism brings to American masculinity.
