Hmmmm.... I wonder if she frisks people dressed in traditional Muslim costumes, too? Or are they just waved through, no matter if the metal detector goes off or not.

Either trapped between politically correctness and common sense or way off the edges where no middle ground exists.

TSA screening is window dressing, nothing more.

Were is the link to the playdough? I saw the shirt on the news and it was a series of led lights connected to a computer board and 9 volt battery. It said “shock it to me” and had been made for a day at MIT after which she wore it to see her boyfriend. Now if my rendition of this is correct, we have a major problem with our attitude, paranoia and government. If however, you produce a discription that is not what I have provided then I apologize.

In this day and age it just seems like good common sense, regardless of intentions, not to wear something like that into the airport. Too often free speech is used as an excuse to act like a dumb ass.

I was very much distrubed by the press and reaction on the girl that had the “fake bomb” Friday. A completely innocent girl that wore a lighted tee shirt to the airport. She was almost killed and was arrested.

Uh, hello, it wasn't simply a "lighted tee shirt", she had Play Dough or some such thing to make it look like plastic explosives. And she was in Logan - remember where those flights originated? And yes, she could have been killed for her stupid actions. But she wasn't.

I think we need to ask ourselves what are we doing with the TSA anyway? This organization is completely inept. The concept of putting up so much security at airports is beyond my abilty to reason. I am well aware that Arab, Muslims seem to have a thing for planes, but any security that we put in place can easily be foiled. If we desire to stop terrorism, we need to either give in to the terrorist wishes (get out of the middle East) or destroy them (not "nation building").

So far Bush has not opted for either situation. He did seem to have the idea in the first part of the "war on terror" but got bogged down in Iraq and lost his vision. Just the phrase "war on terror" indicates the loss of direction. Terror is a weapon. Who is using the weapon, kill them. That is what we need to do.

She was almost killed and was arrested. If this is the state of our country, then what freedom do we have? Why do we have troops fighting for our freedom when we have given it up at home?

I am well aware that the terrorist want to do us harm. But do you really think that all this security is stopping them? And what is the cost to our freedom. I say get rid of the stupid security, if people are killed (which will happen anyway) then take it out of the countries, religion or whatever of those that do the harm. The fact that we have not had an incident in 6 years does not mean that the terrorist are hampered in their activity. It means that our reaction to them and their methods has worked and they don't need to do anything further.

Let's see. The Nun is supposed to be a terrorist in disguise, right? And the powers that are have to let the Muslim TSA agent search her. There is definitely something to be said about that, but more importantly the main question begs -- what in the HELL are we doing with Muslim TSA agents?? Civil libertarians need to really examine their motives, and their consciences.
