A friend of mine who is a reputable criminal defense lawyer (yes, there are such people) told me that one of the first lessons taught in law school is that if someone has to go to prison, make sure that it is the client and not the lawyer.

Perhaps Ms. Stewart was not paying attention during that particular lecture.

As disgraceful as the legal profession can be, there are still quite a few good ones.

Having said that, I still wonder how much Stewart prostituted her ethics for in
dhimmitude to Abdul Top Ramen. It’s too much to believe this opportunistic
sham was doing it pro Sonny bono.

Stewart got off easy. She should have been hung for her treasonous behavior.

It’s altogether appropriate for Stewart to be discussed at length in a legal ethics program. That she should be allowed to open her mouth at one is shameful — even if she were introduced in the same manner that Lee Bolliger introduced Ahmadinejad at Columbia.

Hofstra Law School, and its Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics, are hosting Lynne Stewart, but their biographical blurb somehow forgets to note that she was convicted of providing material aid to terrorists and then disbarred. Must have been……
