Syrians acting strangely on an airplane…again

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 25, 2007 02:51 PM

Things that make you go hmmm:

Panama’s National Police said Tuesday they detained six Syrian passengers after they approached the cockpit of a Copa Airlines flight from Cuba to Panama.

The Syrians were detained for “suspicious behavior” and were being held at Panama’s international airport after the airplane landed safely Tuesday, said National Police Director Rolando Mirones.

“The crew noticed suspicious behavior from those who approached the cockpit, apparently with the intention of opening the door,” Mirones said.

They were just testing the locks, I’m sure.

Flashback: Flight 327.

I wonder if CAIR will bolt down to Panama to defend these individuals from “undue scrutiny resulting from an imperialist plot to oppress Muslims just because they are Muslims”?

Being that it is likely that a flight composed of Americans is unlikely to allow another hijacking anytime soon. I would not rule out the possibility that muslims would attempt to takeover a foreign flight near America and then have it diverted to America for attack.

Bingo! I fly in the Caribbean a lot. I know the next plane bomb will be from a third world country.

Copa Airlines crew simply notified authorities on the ground that a knife was missing after they served the meal in the first-class cabin, where the Syrians were sitting. He did not say whether the Syrians were suspected of taking the knife.

I would love to know if the knife turned up somewhere. Also interesting that it seems to take more than one Syrian to open a door. Hmmmm.

I noticed that this was reported in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Maybe two of these Syrians are those that the FBI wanted this idiotic liberal newpaper to post a picture of when they were on Ferryboats in the Seattle waters. ({;>)

Unlike the liberals, most sane people recognize that the world is a dangerous place and incidents like this are probably interconnected.

It appears the terrorist have figured out passengers in an American flagged airline (they do OK in British airlines too) will rise up and beat them to death if they try anything. Sounds like our friends the Syrians are testing the waters to see if they can take over a third world airliner to turn into a controlled missile. Figures they would work out of a base working with another American hating dictatorship. Really surprised they didn’t come out of Venezuela (or just haven’t been caught yet).

It makes sense, in a perverse way: one has to figure that if flight crews and passengers on US carriers are being more vigilant, those on non-US carriers might be more lax in their security.

Take over a foreign airliner and fly it toward US airspace on a suicide run, and it either crashes into something or we’d have to knock it down before it did; either way, the bad guys could claim a propaganda victory.

I’m actually a little surprised they haven’t tried such a thing before now.

I spent a few days in Nicaragua last fall (right before the Sandinista’s took over) for a wedding- Airport Security was extremely lax in Managua.

On the flip side, Costa Rica and Mexico were more on par with the US.

Why bother until now? They had the best propaganda with the truthers spreading their lies. Then there are the libtards with their BDS. With the Presidents approval rating plummeting with the help of our own MSM and politicians, there has been no need to intervene. Let us destroy each other from the inside and, we have played into their hands so well. We even have nutballs dressing in orange jumpsuits sympathizing with terrorists.

Things are calming a little and the Presidents numbers will start to go up because the congress’ numbers are in the toilet and people are catching on to the politics of the left and the destruction it has brought. When these terrorists think we are going to pull together and work together, they will attack so the whole process of blaming the President for everything (including global warming) can start up again.
