Iranians will only see what the Ach-meister wants them to see, and in every pig-poking frame he will look like a conquering hero. Someone may as well photoshop him a crusade cape, banner and sword.
My vote would have kept him out of here; I don’t really want him breathing my air.

If the free speech issue comes up, nothing says that he has to speak here.

Exactly Ann! Bollinger is going to be the epitome of the “ugly American” and Ahmedemijad got his “counting coup” moment. Badly played all the way around by Columbia, the Press Club and all others who legitimized him the last few days.

Can’t you see that the post is a joke? If Charlie Chaplin could make fun of Hitler, why can’t someone in Seattle make fun of Ahmadinejad?

You may have a point, but with the PI much of what they support is so far left that it's hard to know whether a particular effort on their part is serious or meant to be funny. They've kind of entered the realm of "you can't make this stuff up."

did you see that Ahmadinejad was a laughing stock at his speach at Columbia? He lost far more stature by going than he would have lost by being prevented from going. Free speach, even for Ahmadinejad, even for a lier like him, spreads the truth.

Perhaps (hopefully)he lost stature by allowing everyone to see him. Unfortunately, I think to much of the world he's being played as 'victim' of the mean President of Columbia by saying mean things to the President of Iran. MM, this post of yours is an example of what bloggers are calling nitpicking. You look at blogs from the other side, no matter how obscure or little read, find something you object to, then try to claim that this tars the entire side.
