Alicia Silverstone, meet Mary Katharine Ham
MKH is an omnivore. I know. We dined on red meat together a couple of weeks ago. Unlike PETA freak Alicia Silverstone, Ham speaks for me:

I watched chewing on jerky. That must count double. And I guess everyone noted that Ham is, ah, more attractive?
Oh my… MKH is seriously hot.
Oh god… I hope Eric don’t see this…
*swoons over Ham’s lovelyness*
And there’s no WAY that Silverstone only eats veggies… She’s got way too much meat on her own bones…
Yep, I had BBQ made from delicious pork butt, and hot dogs pressed from mystery meat, just today. Whatever animal was in the hot dogs, Alicia S can be assured, nothing was wasted.
Meat, it’s what you want to eat.
Why God? Why did I have to check this website before bed? I had a long day, I could have gone to sleep, but nooooooo, I had to take one harmless little peek.
I could use the trackback function for my article, “Help me Rabbi, I am desiring (Mary Katharine) Ham,” but why torture myself?
If this woman watches football, I might be forced to buy her a 3rd world nation.
Off to sleep and dream about anything else…my Yom Kippur vows still (barely) intact.
sssssiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhhhh
eric http://www.blacktygrrrr.wordpress.com
We have great restuarants here in Palm Springs that serve tasty salads and unreal prime rib, both ladies have an open invite.
It was so tempting to write MKH isnt that hot just to see swj and eric blow a gasket but couldnt bring myself to lie like that.
People Eating Tasty Animals (PETA) - Just went to a newly opened Famous Dave’s. They have some good PETA samples to savor!
Mary Kay is terrific.
Alright Michelle, you started this. Now you should do one coming up out of the water with a McDonalds sack in your mouth or a big Mac in your hand! We would really like to see something along that line. Please?
I love meat! When working the START treaty the Russian’s discovered my ability to eat mass quantities of consumable they threw down the gauntlet and challenged me to eat a 32oz steak when working an inspection at NAS China Lake in 97 at a local steak house. Mission accomplished! Mmmmmm I think I know what I’m having for dinner tonight.
Maybe Bethany can do one, too.
Kill it and grill it!
If God didn’t want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?
My Weber shudders at the mention of Alicia Silverstones’s name.
It bears repeating:
Vegetables are what “food” eats.
yummy
you might ought to start looking at real estate rates in Camaroon. MKH is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and is therefore completely absorbed by SEC college football. I know this because last year, my beloved Tennessee Volunteers went to the Dawgs home turf for a little football game. I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch it with some friends. I knew while watching that there was a blogosphere bet where a Tennessee blogger, Six Meat Buffet ironically for this post, challenged MKH that if the Dawgs lost to the Vols at home, she would have to appear on the blog in some form of Vols merchandise. She took him up on it, with gusto like a good SEC football fan always will:
Well, the final score was Vols 53, Dawgs 33. She lost, and honored the bet, which this Vols fan will never let die. I can’t seem to find the actual picture of her in the shirt
MKH does indeed rule. Despite her UGA Dawginess, I’ve been a big fan of hers since she started guestblogging at Hugh Hewitt a couple of years ago. Now she’s all over the TV, rising star of the right.
Control yourself Tygrrr, don’t go bat-guano loony and start stalking her or anything:)
I love medim rare ribeye steak, I love MKH. Oh to be young again. She is indeed an up and coming young star.
“You are what you eat”
What’s for dinner? Short cut of the Rump roast!
You do know that Boston Butt is actually the shoulder?
Re: jdhood
Absolutely! Personally, I’m grateful to our early primate ancestors for having the raw courage to take on and eat much fiercer creatures, thereby enlarging our brains and moving us out of the trees.
“You do know that Boston Butt is actually the shoulder?”
Yes I do.
You do know the Rump is at the other end, and is a completely different cut?
mojoe,
why did he make them out of meat? hahahhahahah
#15 That was funny!
I’d like to take credit, but it’s off a bumpersticker I have.
I just love burnt aniaml flesh mmmm, steak, ribs, Pork Shoulders, Fish, Chicken, Turkey (Wild and farm grown), wild game, etc, etc. Two Chirstmas ago my mother-in-law got me a la caja china. Have done many a pig in it 50 to 75 lbs pigs. Use to put the pigs over a spit took 8 to 10 hours. With the La Caja China it take only 3 and 1/2 hours. Have done pork shoulders, rib-eye, ribs, chicken roaster. I’ve got to stop writing it’s making me very very hunger mmmmmmmmm….. go to lacajachina.com to check them out. I have the No. 1 model. I mean at every pig roast the is nothing left and you don’t have to worry about the pig sqeuling on you …. Besides the only thing you can’t eat off a pig is the oink. HAHA OINK! OINK! ..
Isn’t it fun that God placed two canine teeth next to our front teeth. The better to rip flesh with I bet. Or do the people from PETA think they are just cosmetic.
AJ,I would actually prefer that I was the only man on the planet who thought she was hot, so I could win the lowered expectations game.
Brian72, At the risk of trying to weasel out of my comments, when I say football I mean the NFL. If she liked the NFL, my offer stands. I do not know college football. Nevertheless, the fact that she honored the bet is cool. I like USC (Trojan MBA), Florida State (Bobby Bowden is warm and fuzzy), Nebraska (no idea why). Now I like Oklahoma State because their coach went verbal on a reporter.
Stalking is disgusting, and I prefer activities that do not require I leave my apartment. I am a homebody.
So let me reassure the world that while Ms. Ham is stunning, conservative, blah blah blah, the whole thing behind my “goofiness” was her last name. A Jewish boy desiring Ham, especially around Yom Kippur, is a satire of angst ridden Jewish guys torn with internal conflict. Those Jewish guys are liberals, aka not me.
What I would really like is to interview her for my blog since I think she is a smart, young conservative. I already interviewed Amanda Carpenter, and that went well.
Lastly, this entire thread might be my column today. I will absolutely make sure to give proper credit where it is due, and redact any names unless they tell me they want to be mentioned.
Respectfully,
eric

Makes me proud to be a gun owner and hunter. I too feel strong!
I think Sliverstone is auditioning for a movie. What was her last movie? You know there is a reason they call those auditions for movie parts “Cattle Calls” So maybe Alicia could open her mouth and let them inspect her teeth too!
One person’s meat is another’s poison.
I like meat, and potatos.Remember:PETA is for People Enjoying Tasty Animals.
MKH sure is cute. And I sure don’t like PETA and their Holocaust-trivializing ads. But -
Vegetarian is healthier. I’ve been ovo-lacto-vegetarian (including eggs and dairy) for 28 years. My cholesterol count is under 150, and people have recently underestimated my age by 18 years. Not bad! That’s not to mention the lower risks of cardiovascular disease and cancer.
I know it’s not for everyone. Some still include poultry and cold-water fish. But maybe there was something to it when Moses proscribed pork and shellfish…
Live long and prosper!
I’m embarrassed to say how many times I watched the beautiful MKH video already but since you posted it again and twisted my arm, I guess I’ll have to watch it another 3 or 4 times. :- )
Mary, Mary, Mary….how sweet you are!!
By the way, have you guys seen how “veggie” Alicia looks without make up?
Here’s a hint:

Ms. Malkin,
“The Grizzly Groundswell,” is a friend of mine, and he asked me to post at his site. However, because my post trackbacks to your site, his posting my article also does the same. Therefore, please delete the Grizzly Groundswell trackback, because it is the EXACT same article.
I do not want it to look like I am double posting.

Believe it or not, some of us conservatives are vegetarian. That picture of meat is about as gross as the topless picketer. Go after PETA for being liars who have killed innocent animals in their own shelters, but don’t attack all vegetarians. I would no sooner eat meat as to contribute to MoveOn.org.
Living in the Bay Area, we have all kinds of PETA loons wandering around, but only once have they been dumb enough to confront my wife and I. The young woman very well fed, blond dreadlocks and all asked why I thought it was okay to eat dead flesh. I looked at her leather shoes and asked why it was okay for her to wear dead skin. She gave us a glare and left and we went back to eating our Irish stew with laughter all around.
Okay, I must chime in here.
I love Michelle Malkin and am very grateful she has a blog. I read it everyday. I also read Frontpagemagazine.com. I consider myself a conservative…but guess what? I am also a longtime member of PeTA and been veg for about 22 years.
I think refraining from eating meat is a noble act. It takes thoughtfulness, restraint and discernment. It means you have standards. It’s not the only noble act we can do in this world, but it’s a significant one.
There are many reasons to avoid meat that are humane, environmental and economic. Meat eating is destructive on many levels, not only to animals themselves but to humans as well.
If you want to eat meat, fine, do it, but don’t embarrass yourself by putting down others who actually have a higher standard than you. It only shows your insecurity (can you say “tallest poppy?”). You can respect the choice without having to make the choice yourself.
Further, stop thinking it’s a leftist or liberal thing to do. Sure, a fair number in the AR movement are left (and yes, even “loony left”), but there are many who are moderates and even conservative. Most of all, those who care about this are thinkers. I just read a study that said vegetarians, as a whole, have a higher Intelligence than the general population. Go ahead and Google it…and find out for yourselves.
Not all leftists care about this issue by any means. Michael Moore was just as disrespectful as all of you are on this blog. It just means you care about the horrible suffering of innocent animals at our hands. Caring about animal suffering is sweet, noble, and kind. These are ideals that conservatives should, at least theoretically, embrace and admire.
Do yourself a favor…stop being sophomoric about this issue. If you want to eat your steaks do so…but don’t put down others who make more thoughtful choices.
Soliel:
Whoa….slow down there.
If you want to eat meat, fine, do it, but don’t embarrass yourself by putting down others who actually have a higher standard than you
I take GREAT issue with the idea that not eating meat is somehow a “higher standard.”
Higher opposed to what? Equal is fine - one man’s steak is another’s crap sandwich. But there is nothing inherently superior to being a vegetarian at all. There is ample evidence that until early man began to eat meat, humans were small, helpless creatures with puny brains. Eating meat - cooked meat as it turns out - allowed our species to stop cowering in the tall grass and begin to build tools.
We sure as hell didn’t get larger and smarter by eating alfalfa sprouts. We had been doing that for 2 million years. Scrounging for veggies and scavenging the kills of other animals made up the human diet until Homo Erectus showed up about 1.5 million years ago and started the hunt for game in earnest.
Nope. Get off the high horse and stop pretending to be superior. Meat - as all things on this planet - taken in moderation is extremely healthy for you. And choosing not to eat it makes you different - not better.
Who says these animals are innocent? I have it on good authority by a well respected anonymous moral authority that many of these animals had it coming. Their parents were awful animals, and their kids would have been awful animals.
I know I am right because the anonymous study I cite is beyond reproach, because it agrees with me, which confirms I am right.
Hail to the Lord of Circular Logicians everywhere!
Time for Monday Night Football and a burger.

I wasn’t talking health…although it can easily be argued it better for your health.
Vegetarianism and, even better, veganism is a higher choice morally and ethically because it takes into account the effects meat eating has on animals and the planet.
I did not say I was superior. I have my strengths as you do, too. I recognize there are plenty of ways to be noble in the world and being veg is one of them.
Blackty Grrrrr the animals that have to live in factory farms and face a gruesome end in the slaughterhouse certainly didn’t ask for it. They did nothing but were found in hapless circumstances. I can’t believe you said such a thing…I’ve never, in all my years of arguing this issue, have I heard anyone say that animals deserve such abuse and had it “coming to them”. Just proves that we humans will and can rationalize almost any habit, no matter how little substance we can give for it.
I am conservative because most of the time conservatives are right. But on this issue…me thinks they need to grow up!
There’s a wonderful book called
It’s a call to mercy in regards to what we do against animals. It’s written by a conservative.

Soliel,
You may or may not be the only person on this site that did not realize I was kidding. Reread what I wrote above.
Personally I have nothing against animals. Dogs can’t raise my taxes. Felines can’t block traffic with protests about nonsense. Iguanas can’t screw up public schools.
Liberals mess up society more than animals ever could, which is why I rooted for the Cincinnati Bengals to defeat the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.
Unfortunately, humans, even liberals, are superior to animals, even tigers…Patriots 34, Bengals 13.
The Pats ate the Bengals for dinner! Somebody call Peta now! It wouldn’t be the first time this year they harassed the NFL, but I won’t go there.

Okay.
No one said humans and animals were the same. It’s obvious, we humans are capable of so much more. We have a higher consciousness. But that doesn’t mean it’s Ok to be cruel or ignore suffering of other beings.
We have the ability to discern right and wrong and make ethical choices but too often we dont’ use it. The only thing that matters with animals is if they can suffer…and surely they can.
Boomer… your story reminds me of my first cross country road trip while i was in college. I drove from San Luis Obispo (near LA) to Boston for a wedding (and an ex girlfriend
). On the drive to Boston, I blew out a tire and had to spend all of my $ on fixing it ( a la U-Turn). Anyway to make a long story short I did not have much $$ for for on the drive back home from Boston and when I got to Texas ate a 72 oz steak with all the fixins. You should have seen the waitress’ faces while I finished in less than 30 minutes… and the food was free!
Supersean,
72 oz is one thing, but the fixins as well?
You sir, are my hero.

I have a lot of respect for people who are vegetarians. I tried it once and then I got so weak I couldn’t exercise.
My beef–no pun intended–is with PETA. Sure, we need people to remind us that animals need respect, but they always are about dogs and cats, never about endangered species. I just think they like condemning meat-eaters while letting poachers roam the earth freely.
Here’s the thing about meat–I’ll be the first in line to save a chicken or whatever when all the animals are used to feed starving people in places like Appalachia, Mississippi Delta and Pine Ridge.
OMG can you say SMUG? And someone ragged on me the other day because I was proud of my kids. You are obviously a liberal in disguise. Because only a liberal could be such a pompous butt (with the possible exception of the fundamentalist religion spokespeople around here.)
I don’t generally eat meat. (Cheese, Eggs and fish yes) I don’t avoid meat because I’m some stuck up, higher evolved, I’m better than everyone else because I don’t slaughter animals moron, I just plain don’t like it. However with a household 8-12 people and 3 generations I try to cook something for everyone. And that includes cooking meat.
OMG save me from intellectuals. Sounds like a ‘potted plant’ from Mistress Arianna’s site.
