It’s not just 17-year-olds who were welcome at the Folsom Street Fair leather/bondage orgy.

Two-year-olds Zola and Veronica Kruschel waddled through Folsom Street Fair amidst strangers in fishnets and leather crotch pouches, semi and fully nude men.
The twin girls who were also dressed for the event wore identical lace blouses, floral bonnets and black leather collars purchased from a pet store.
Fathers Gary Beuschel and John Kruse watched over them closely. They were proud to show the twins off.
“They will see more than the kids with moms and dads in Iowa,” said Beuschel, who wanted to expose his children to San Francisco�s diverse community. “Every parent has to decide for themselves what is right for them. And I respect that. And we decided that this is right for our children.”
Beuschel and his girls were at the 22nd Folsom Street Fair, an annual leather event in San Francisco�s South of Market district, which showcased outrageous costumes, fetish attire, and a community obsessed with bondage, whipping, and spanking.
For crying out loud:
“Why do (these people) bring kids here? This is a leather fair for god’s sake,” said Bahran Aliassa, who was masturbating in public. He has been doing it annually for the past six years.
Oakland resident Veronica Charles, 36, was with a baby stroller and said her son was too young to understand. “I don’t think I’ll bring him here when he is 6,” Charles said.

And I agree – CPS needs to be called and these girls need to be protected. How messed up must their home life be if they’re exposed to this in public? San Francisco or not, NO ONE deserves to abuse children in this manner.

If adults (21+) want to participate/attend in a disgusting event such as this, that is their discretion as adults.
However, subjecting children to this is akin to showing them pornography at home, which would have CPS knocking on your door ASAP.

No disagreement from me that there are certain places where children shouldn’t be welcome.
But I think people are overreacting a bit. I don’t think children should be in such a sexualized environment, but wearing leather in and of itself isn’t a problem. I mean, it’s a studded collar. No harm, no foul.
If you look at the pictures, most of them aren’t even that offensive to me. So, people are in wacky costumes. Big deal. The public sexual acts are the problem. Until those are stopped, children should be kept away.
I mean, no one complains when tykes are walking down Commercial Street in P-Town surrounded by drag queens and people in leather. Because in P-Town, people are more behaved. That’s what the Folsom Street Fair should strive for.

Just got off the phone with San Fransisco’s CPS department, and they are unable to do anything without and address. The lady on the other end was nice about it, though. You can bet your sweet bippy that I’ll be calling them again for next year’s fair.
This is the number problem I have with this event. But I need to get over it…they will be teaching our kids these things in school before long.

I’ve had movie theaters check my ID for a rated “R” film (after I’ve turned 25 – which was kind of flattering), but these two munchkins get exposed to worse while people around them shrug. The Folsom Street Fair is a spectacle not only for the raunch, but also because these are the people and pics that get put on the news, and the blogs. People point to this and say,” That’s why gays aren’t equal to everyone else. This proves they are deviants.” (See above posts for examples.)

Other raunch festivals have explicit age limits with an ID required. Some even require visitors to sign a waiver.

It amazes me that anyone could become so totally skewed in their perception of right/wrong that they would think this appropriate.
I’m gay. And I’ll go on the record and say that, as a community, until we collectively begin to conduct ourselves in such a manner to justify being granted civil unions or marriage, we should be denied such. These people sully the very idea of marriage and family by their actions alone.

For me, its gonna take a little time for me to be really gung-ho about gay adoption. I live here, and from what i’ve seen, i am really unimpressed on account I think here it is more about politics than what is in the best interest of the children. I suppose when and if that pendilum ever swings back around, I would be willing to rethink my current stance.

This is a large reason why the homosexual community gets hammered about gay marriage and the ability to raise families in a wholesome environment; it doesn’t happen. Using children as accessories to your life-style is utterly disgusting.
It’s not clear to me whether these kids were adopted or biological children. Can anyone clear that up? And if biological, where were/are the mothers? This whole item is frightening and confusing. The screenings for adopted children, in my experience, are very, very strict. I’m wondering how these two ever made it. Not because they are gay, but because they are decadent enough to dress toddlers in what could be construed as as sexual gear. Perhaps child welfare should be looking at these two?

There has been a campaign underway here to SEEK out Gay, Lesbian and Transgender parents for adopting/fostering children here in the bay area. I couldn’t prove it either way, but I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if perspective gay and transgender parents are given preference over straight parents based solely on account of political agenda.
Out here we really do have reverse discrimination.
Why would a city be “seeking out” a certain demographic instead of relying on those who willingly come forward voluntarily to adopt.
It matters not that these parents are FIT to the SF community et, al (Mr. Gavin) but more that they are GAY. With these types of priorities…no wonder we have “Babes in Joyland”
