The President of CU is a really good guy, former US Senator from Colorado who did great work after retirement from the Senate at another CO university. Now at CU, he may be in over his head at a liberal bastion where a LOT of profs signed a petition supporting Ward Churchill, where his ideas are probably considered more mainstream than outrageou, in a town known all around the state as The People’s Republic of Boulder. On a brighter note, most kids who go there get a relatively decent education and come out mostly unscathed and unindoctriated, suprizingly given the bent of the place…which must really pliss off guys like Wardo.

They all wear their club uniforms (silly beanies, che t-shirts, sunglasses, and toy guns), and practice making scary faces. They also have ritual games of fake indians and cowboys. Taking occasional breaks for a hit on the peace pipe.

It’s a pretty exclusive club. Only the craziest, lunatic lefties are invited to join.

Their big day is Columbus Day, when they march in the streets of Denver and bitch about everything that whitey has done in that past 500 years.

It must have worked, because my classmates would ask me for my source information frequently and this would lead to other topics that this young generation hasn’t heard about.

The funny thing is that I was constantly prepared for both her lectures and attempted indoctrination, and would ask the straight forward questions that would make any communist squirm.

The only thing worse than working in the same city as this blight on rational discourse is the fact that 3 credits of my degree were at the hands of one of his disciples at a different institute of higher education who spread his debunked dogma of small-pox infested blankets distributed by the U.S Army to wipe out the Mandan Indians. If you didn’t agree with that basic tenet, don’t expect to pass the course.

I bet if Ann Coulter were in his place, the CU officials would have had security escort her off campus.

True, but only after the “agitators” who were allowedn so they could excersise thier “1st Ammend. Rights” attacked her with pies and shouted her down, parading up and down with their kindergarten paint posters.

You just have to spend some time in the People’s Republic of Boulder to understand the unbelievable political climate in that locale. It’s a world very much unto itself, sort of like the Bay area during the 1960s in California.

It’s a very affluent city. It leans very, very far to the political left. And my prediction is that it’s never going to list to the right – ever.

My bet is that Ward Churchill will find a venue for his anti-American pitch, if not at the University, then somewhere else in the local area. He’s going to have us all tied up in Court for the next three years or so with his wrongful termination lawsuit, so everybody might as well get comfortable with seeing his mug on the TV.
