Undercover Internet photojournalist Zombie, a brave, brave, soul, was at the Miller Lite-approved Folsom Street Fair last weekend. Zombie did the publishing of explicit photographs that no one else will do, breaking the MSM taboo. (Be warned: It’s not safe for work, not safe on a full stomach, and not really safe for home unless you are prepared for some really nasty stuff. Also: the page takes a while to load.) Note that Zombie was there less than hour:
I was at the fair for less than an hour altogether — not much more than 45 minutes. And in that short amount of time, I took all the photos you see here. Yet the fair was an all-day event, and lasted from 11am to 6pm — seven hours. So, one can extrapolate that a great deal more must have gone on that I did not record. What you see here is just a small random sample of what happened that day.

I’m not one who tends to believe boycotts are a good idea. But I’m also not inclined to support a company that sponsors events such as the Folsom Street Fair. The fact that it’s a primarily gay event is irrelevant – in their sponsorship of this fair, Miller is supporting public indecency. Public heterosexual contact would be just as offensive.
Miller Brewing Company is free to continue spending their money where they wish, but those who use their product are just as free to limit that company’s profits.

Despite protests lodged regarding your sponsorship of the event, the sponsorship proceeded.

Reviewing your website and the causes you claim to support, I have a hard time understanding why SAB would find The Folsom event consistent with its corporate goals and worthy of its “proud sponsorship”.
I will await your response before I begin alerting my investment advisers to dump any and all SAB holdings.

Zombie, I don’t know how you can do it.
Miller is running out of time, in a hurry, to distance themselves from this event and start redeeming themselves. They seem to have been acting like it’s no big deal, but I think images like the baby Jesus sex toys are going to wind up being the proverbial egg on Millers face.
They need to issue a statement, condemn the sicko fair forever, and start apologizing to the mainstream.
Perhaps the jerk that didn’t find fault with kids being at this “Fair” will change his mind after viewing these pictures. Difficult to believe the law allows this in public. Again, where is DFACS when you really need them. NOT IN CA for sure. WAy to go MIller lite, et al.

While I support the right for people to freely associated with whomever they want, that does not mean I have to like what they are offering. I doubt this has hit the parent’s radar or has been seriously downplayed at the parent level.
I used to work in West Hollywood and I was shocked at what went on there during the parade and Halloween. I know that the same at a non-special interest gathering would not be allowed.

I have seen the European Union hold American companies to environmental standards in order to do business there.
Why cannot the United States set decency standards for foreign companies who want to do business in our communities?
What will it take for communities in the USA to stand up for what is good for our kids and our families and do what Nancy said: “Just Say No”.
Why are we being impacted by IslamoFascists and South Afrikan brewers as though we are just passive dolts who value nothing? Why do they have that impression of us?

Step One: Take out the ACLU and prosecute them under RICO statutes.
Step Two: Prosecute Homosexual advocacy groups who misuse their non-profit status to lobby against religious organizations. 501c3 status is a privilege, not a right, under the US tax code and it forbids any kind of advocacy function.
Step Three: Organize US consumers and investors in order to rate corporations of foreign origin- the lower the rating the less likely they are to be profitable in US markets. This would not bode well for their stock price.
Step Four: Close the damn borders now. Make it a privilege to come here and live. And screen each applicant with a fine tooth comb. Let the refugees from everywhere else go to Europe- the EU is not paying for its own defense, so let them pay the welfare tab on all immigrants. This keeps our social standard of health, education, and morality higher at the baseline. It spells out to the world that we are not the world’s toilet.
Step Five: Destroy the IslamoFascist front groups the way La Cosa Nostra was destroyed. Eradicate it. They cannot have it all the ways that they have been enjoying it. Enough is enough.

Protest of the insult to Christianity I think is fair game, but protesting for sponsoring this event in general I disagree. You don’t have to approve, but the people are consenting. It is better to protest that this event is considered not to snarl traffic while marines filming a commerical would be. The admittance of children is fair game as well.
I know I’m drawing a fine line here, but the existance of the event itself I can’t disapprove in the vein people here are doing.
If anything, make a point about what would happen to these people if they tried to this in Iran.

When my wife and I went to Mardi Gras in 2005, just before Katrina, we drove to the hotel from the airport, dropped our bags off at the hotel which was one block away from the park, and then waled down to the Quarter. We hung a right onto Bourbon street, walked like 2 blocks and BLAMMO, on one corner was two gay men, one whipping the other with a cat ‘o nine tail and directly across the stree on our left was another guy, on his knees in front of another guy performing a Lewinski sans the cigar. It was then we knew, 15 minutes into our trip, that we were very far from home. Yes, there were kids around, it was 3 in the afternoon. Glad we left ours at home, not that they would have cared. And I ain’t even a prude.
How ironic that the very people that keep saying they want government to stay out of their bedrooms keep brining their bedrooms out into the damn street.

I called the Miller complaint guy and gave him the Zombietime web site URL. I explained that his company was sponsoring an event, photos of which, if viewed on his company computer, would get him fired. Ironic, no???
I urged him to circulate the URL to his fellow employees to better appreciate their employer’s standards.
Also emailed a short selection of photos to several Miller contacts. Let them enjoy the spectacle they are promoting.
Private is private; public is public – ESPECIALLY with children in attendance.

I don’t even know what to say to those pictures. I was at my sister’s wedding two weeks ago and one of my new brothers-in-law is from SF and he mentioned this festival and how he had no idea what it was but walked through and it totally freaked him out. The things he told me that he saw were tame compared to this. But what was most disturbing for him was not what they were doing, but the fact that people in the audience were becoming so aroused by watching and making…interesting…sounds.
Grunt, this is a slippery slope, the approval process from Mexico would take years in Court before such a trade could happen.

I checked out zombie’s report yesterday evening and the wife and I are still in shock. I have seen a lot of stuff in my travels around the world and have never seen anything to equal this type of behavior. I’m taking as a 25 year veteran of the Military who has had the opportunity to visit some of the “Adult Disneyland” countries, but never took the risk to my health or marriage by taking part in some of the activities offered. Judging from the Folsom Street pictures, the attendees all seemed what their cups were full of. The beer was merely a distraction for one hand while the other groped other’s cups with abandon.

Not surprisingly, bear, you are wrong about the law. The tax code does not forbid any type of advocacy (I assume by this you mean lobbying). Without boring anyone with the details two tests (”no substantial part” or 501(h) election), Charities are in fact able to do a fair amount of it before their exempt-status is threatened. Plus there are a ton of exceptions (self-defense lobbying) or things that are not considered lobbying (education without specifically advocating legislation) to the point where the limits usually meaningless.
What is totally proscribed is campaigning for candidates (which is why contributions to moveon or swiftboat, which I believe are 501(c)(4) entities, are not deductible). But the biggest violators of this proscription are usually Christian churches/organizations where blatant campaigning for whomever the pastor, minister, priest, etc… feels is the best candidate occurs often. Not saying it doesn’t happen with orgs on the left. Just saying it happens a lot more in church.

ajmontana this is one of the cases where it is best not to look. I am still trying to find enough happy thoughts to make the images go away. It was almost hypnotic, kind of like looking at a train wreck, you don’t want to see it, but you can’t pull your eyes away. I’m just grateful I didn’t unblur the pictures.

In 2006, Miller gave $112,000 to federal candidates – 33% to Democrats; 67% to Republicans. Boxer, Pelosi and Feinstein got $0. The big money winners were John Boehner R-OH and George Allen R-VA. Likewise with Altria (former Phillip Morris, which owns 30% of Miller). In 2006, its PAC contributed $986,500 to federal candidates – 34% to Democrats; 66% to Republicans. Far ahead in the big money pack was Henry Bonilla R-TX at $16000. Twelve others received $10,000 – 4 Democrats and 8 Republicans. Boxer, Pelosi and Feinstein also didn’t receive money from the Altria PAC; however, Vitter, Craig and Foley did. M was yesterday ashamed for the comments made on Tuesday’s The View, and rightly felt sorry for Nancy and Paul Pelosi.
I think it would be entirely appropriate to now call on the Speaker of the House to denounce this event and to call for immediate federal legislation to ban ALL nudity and sexual acts (that means you too, Mr. Bill) from public places and to forbid the temporary designation of public places as “private” for events such as the Folsom Street Fair.
This is an embarrassment to the nation, an affront to God and a moral cancer that must be killed.
M – lead the way and your troops will follow! Everyone should take the time, today, to email Pelosi your desire to see immediate legislation.
I thought indecent exposure was against the law. If they allow this then how can lawmakers even think of making a law against baggy pants.
