Praise from the president who never met a liberal he didn't like. What a yawn. But let's look on the bright side: that is as good a definition of compassionate conservatism as we are ever likely to get.
If every nation gets the leadership it deserves, surely every party also gets the leadership <em>it</em> deserves.

We shouldn't let the repulsiveness of Al Gore interfere with weighing the probability of his message. Even if you find the probability of global warming low, the consequences if true should be alarming enough to give you pause, even if you're an SUV driver needlessly wasting non-renewable resources and have in common with Al a certain repulsiveness.

Didn't Groucho Marx state, that he wouldn't belong to any club, that would have him as a member...I don't belong to the Al Gore club but I hear membership is wide open.

I do remember another "Good Book" God responding to Noah and stating NO more will I make War against Man by bringing a Great Flood and then God turned over his War Cup and a Rainbow appeared... This is the last time Man was threatened by a "Great Flood" this is why everyone claiming Katrina was brought on by God's wrath was wrong.

Now the English came out and stated that 9 of Gore's inconvienent truths from his "Good Book" were WRONG, how many other of his truths, were affected by those 9 truths being WRONG?

I don't want to encourage Al Gore's God Complex so I didn't buy his book or watch his movie.

….I am at a loss to find a term suitably descriptive for someone who thinks that he can ‘protect’ the entire climate of Earth….is that the ‘mother of all god complexes’ or what?</blockquote>

Look, if he can stop the melting of the ice caps, and so prevent the rising of sea level and save the coastal cities, think of how many lives will be saved. It reminds me of the biblical passage:

<em>What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him ?</em>

If you answer Al Gore, you are correct!

AlohaGuy,

Since the Peace Prize ceremony takes place in Oslo, it's the King of Norway whom Gore will put in a coma. It will be hard enough for the King of Sweden to stay awake when the scientists start expounding on their theories.

At an event (that I attended) in South Carolina today, a reporter asked Giuliani for his thoughts on Gore's Nobel Prize.

Giuliani was surprisingly complimentary of the former VP. Although he later clarified that he questioned the urgency of various catastrophic scenarios, Giuliani seemed to accept most of the controversial premises of the radical climate change proponents.

If anyone here wants four years of liberal appeasement, by all means vote for Giuliani in the upcoming primary.

I remember <strike>having the c--p scared out of me</strike> being taught about the coming ice age, the mass species extinction in the next 20 years from global cooling, etc in grade school in the mid-70s. By Jr High, taught that it was all hype and not true. Now a generation later, my friends kids are <strike>having the c--p scared out of them</strike> being taught about global climate change, the mass species extinction in the next 20 years from global warming, etc. Yeah, I'm a bit skeptical. And by a bit, I mean I think it is utter horse squeeze and that history well shows that we have a dynamic climate that, no matter what we do, is going to warm, and cool and change.

I much agree with the above poster who commented about the arrogance of those who believe this stuff. Man is not nearly powerful enough to destroy the planet although we may be capable of eliminating mankind. If we do, Mother Nature will blink, yawn, and in a century our greatest cities will be no more pristine than a jungle covered lost city in Central America.

I lost all respect and interest when Jimmah Cawtah and Arafat one it.

Now, the prize is a mere trinket.

The Bronze Medal of the Olympics has more respect and worth.

I have a pretty good picture of The Goracle at my place...I swiped it from Dean Barnett as punishment because he is leaving Townhall.

Feel free to swipe it from me...

The White House should have said that Gore is a lunatic and doesn't know s _ _ t about any area of science. They're setting us up for billions in global warming pork. Our tax dollars at work.

I'm almost looking forward to Hillary as long as Bush is out of the White House and I'm a Reagan conservative.

Absolutely disgusting!
