Do you carry insurance on yourself/family, or do you depend on the government to take care of your needs? Please note that a choice simply not to carry insurance most likely puts you in the latter category, unless you are choosing to pay cash for your health care.

A lack of a simple, straightforward answer will force me to proceed from the assumption that you do NOT carry insurance, and that you do indeed see this as a function of government.

I hardly think this family of six on 45K a year goes sailing much. They probably worry about their next meal, or if their kids will awaken from their coma.

And exactly how would you know they don’t also go sailing in addition to their new vehicles and larger than average home? I’m glad you know these things.
But as is lost on you – I never ever was talking about them going sailing….Reading comprehension my friend. It’ll do a person good.

NO-one goes and tries to make sailing their job (?!) without having a lot of dough first. its a (very) rich person’s activity. Its pretty telling that its your choice of analogy. And it has literally NOTHING to do with the families involved with schip.

I’ve also already said that schip prevents people from having to make sacrifices like slling off assets.
