A scholarship for blogging?
What a great idea–get college students hooked on an addictive, time-sucking pastime instead of studying. Why, next they’ll offer Methamphetamine Addict Fellowships!
Seriously, though, they’re having a runoff election to see who gets the ten grand, and one of the finalists is a fellow named Matthew Burden. Whom you might know better as milblogger Blackfive.
If you’d like to give him a hand, go here and vote for him! Voting closes the 28th; I think you’re allowed to vote daily.
(Come on, folks, last year a Kos diarist calling himself “Mister Liberal” won.)

Blackfive, gets my support.
I’m on it.
^^Word…
Done.
Come on people, he is getting hammered at the moment.
My vote’s in for Blackfive — but it appears we’ve got some work to do to catch up!
#4 – he’s falling behind the liberal chicks. Something must be done!!!!
I just voted.
The gal that is leading it, by a big margin, is going to law school and has breast cancer. So she is going to get the sympathy vote, and I can’t fault folks for voting for her, but Matthew got my vote.
Actually a couple of times.
COnsider my vote cast… Now to force everyone I know to do the same…
I noticed in the weblog awards that if there was one liberal in a category and the rest were conservatives, or vice versa, that guy had a real advantage.
I’m not familiar with the other bloggers here but I think Matt is the only conservative.
#6 – great…don’t i feel like the jerk!!! Hope she gets better…but I hope Matthew wins!
Been voting for Matt daily for awhile now. Still needs a lot more to catch up. Just hit him again.
feebie — I hope he wins too….and I only feel a teeny bit bad
besides……liberal chicks…..eeeeeewwwwww!
Hey people, you need to vote on this, he’s getten slammed.
Not like Anders Isben…
I’ll keep voting until I done here at work…
until I’m done
Miss MarciLyn,
I’m in love with a moonbat. Moonbat evidence: She really believes Stark spoke truth to power. She doesn’t see anything wrong with birth control pills being handed out in a middle school. She has BDS. She believes BJ Clinton was the best president in our lifetime. Edwards was her favorite candidate until he opened his mouth and spoke.
At least she thinks Carter’s become insane.
Our votes will probably cancel out for the rest of our lives. I’ve known other couples like this though.
Al in St. Lou – listen to the heckles on the back of your neck. Leopards don’t change spots, political beliefs don’t change either. Do yourself a favor, and your children down the road, and find someone who shares your views to some degree. That combination has a will to work together and fight for a common cause. The alternative is to split resources and never really commit to a shared goal.
Just voted he could really use some help. I just bookmarked the site to do what I can to help over the next week.
Am I the only one who can’t vote this weekend? Or does it mean that we broke the site on Friday? (I don’t think that it’s a Mac thing, although it may be a Firefox thing, as I had the same problem with my Windows-running computer.)
