Hillary says: Leave my dishwasher donors alone!

Oh, sweet snorty-snort:

A defiant Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton says she has no intention of curtailing her fundraising in the Chinese community despite reports that she accepted cash from dozens of questionable donors in Chinatown earlier this year.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that Clinton had received about 150 donations of between $500 and $2,000 each from dishwashers, street vendors and other low-wage workers. Of the contributions examined, one-third of the donors could not be found and a $1,000 donor denied giving a contribution, according to the report.

“I represent New York and New York is a symbol of the success of immigrants coming to America,” the senator told reporters Saturday after addressing supporters at the Oak Park Elementary School in Des Moines.

“I am pleased to have a lot of first-generation American support as well as people who have been longtime involved in the political process … I’m going to keep reaching out to everybody in our country. I want to be a president to everybody.”

Earlier this year, Clinton returned about $7,000 of about $380,000 raised during a fundraiser that targeted donors from China’s east coast after campaign officials raised red flags about the donors. It’s not clear whether other refunds will be issued.

The recent Chinatown story came to light a month after Clinton was forced to return more than $850,000 raised by accused scam artist Norman Hsu.

The campaign has refused to return several hundred thousand Hsu raised for Clinton’s Senate re-election bid or for her pet political action committee Hill Pac.

Some of Clinton’s “Hillraisers” - about 200 high-powered fundraisers who have pledged to bundle $100,000 or more for her - have questioned the campaign’s vetting and screening procedures, which have been a continuing source of embarrassment, a person close to the campaign said yesterday.

All that’s missing is the trademark Clinton finger wag of defiance.

Polite understatement from the WaPo editorial board: “This appears to be another instance in which a Clinton campaign’s zeal for campaign cash overwhelms its judgment.”

No kidding.

I don’t think the situation will be examined further by any of the MSM. They are looking at it now, only because they know that the majority of Americans aren’t really paying attention to Presidential politics right now. During the general election season, if it should come up, they will be able to say “We covered that stuff already” or “Old news, people”. The media know that she will get the nomination, and they are already in the tank for her. Hillary knows this, and will continue to take dirty money because she can!

Don’t expect anything from the MSM after the primaries but puff pieces about how she loves children, and is the smartest woman in the world, and that she loves to bake cookies while lecturing Iran about human rights. By contrast we will see nonstop pieces like “Will (insert Republican nominee)legalize lynching?” and “Why (Republican nominee) will starve your children to death.” Andy Rooney will begin every commentary with “Did-ja ever notice that (republican nominee) always beats illegal immigrants with a baseball bat? Isn’t it ironic that the ultimate symbol of American sport is always used by Republicans to …blah blah blah….

Even The Nation is asking questions about Hilary’s campaign contributors. Naturally, the authors need to sling their obligatory mud at Bush before devoting the heart of their article to the Hilary-McAuliffe-Quasha nexus, but hey:

Operating below the radar, he [Quasha] entered Hillary Clinton’s circle even before she declared her candidacy by quietly arranging for the hire of Clinton confidant and longtime Democratic Party money man Terry McAuliffe at one of his companies. During the interregnum between McAuliffe’s chairmanship of the Democratic Party and the time he officially joined Clinton’s campaign, Quasha’s firm set McAuliffe up with a salary and opened a Washington office for him.

Just a few years earlier, McAuliffe had publicly criticized Bush for his financial dealings with Harken [Energy], disparaging the company’s Enron-like accounting. Yet in 2005 McAuliffe accepted this cushy perch with Quasha’s newly acquired investment firm, Carret Asset Management, and even brought along former Clinton White House business liaison Peter O’Keefe, who had been his senior aide at the Democratic National Committee. McAuliffe remained with the company until he became national chair of Hillary’s presidential bid, and O’Keefe never left. McAuliffe’s connection to Quasha has, until now, never been noted.

Skipping further down, I also found out that Chelsea Clinton works for a hedge fund. Who knew?

The vehicle for funding campaigns that is heavily favored by the Democrats is called bundling, in which bagmen (or in the case of organized feminism, bagwomen) collect contributions from numerous sources, tie them together and deposit them with campaign financiers in one lump sum. The rules of disclosure of the bundled components appear to be murky, unless someone here is knowledgeable and could enlighten us on them. I have yet to see the breakdown of any bundle on opensecrets.com or followthemoney.com. The most successful practitioner of bundling so far appears to be the notorious Mr. Hsu.

In a New York Post story related to the effect of the illegal immigration issue on Hillary’s campaign, it appears that the determined effort of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to give out driver’s licenses to illegals may seriously damage Hillary’s campaign in the Empire State because more than 3/4 of New Yorkers oppose this measure and Hillary has kept her mouth shut on this issue. A big reason for her reticence is Spitzer’s mean streak when he is crossed, which his staffers have nicknamed “the full Spitzer.” There may come a time when Democrats learn to pay attention to the man behind the curtain but it hasn’t happened yet.

twoninerkilo–I like your idea, but have little faith aliens will stay south of the border, and what will be do with the Chinese illegals? If we are really serious, we’d be building facilities to hold illegals, to show they can’t take advantage of our system, and we are serious about protecting our borders. History has taught us that mass purges can work.

Except when it comes to their own money.
Make no mistake, these people are more infatuated with money than anything we’ve seen before, with no plans of giving it up. They use the United States when it benefits their bottom line, buying prime real estate like it was candy, not paying taxes, and happy watching the dollar plunge even further to take advantage of it. Basically, leeches of our system (much like the aliens).

They play to the likes of Katrina “victims“, other minority groups, and uninsured “kids” to appeal to their fake sense of altruism to gain political power.
