Granted, the sort of braindead hippies, pie throwers, and protest fetishists who run around carrying "no blood for oil" signs and giant puppet heads aren't exactly geniuses in the first place, but this is a particularly dumb form of protest......

Everyone is against wars, but when has the world been at total peace? The closest perhaps Pax Romana but it still wasn't total world peace. Those who believe what Jesus said in Mathew 24 that there would be an increase in wars, pestilence and other horrible things in the end days. The Middleast seems to bare this all out. The Islamics will never rest and the resisters won't submit so therefore there will always be wars. Do these protestors even think on such thoughts?

After the ice age we went through

Soap, I remember that ice age. It was Dec through Feb of that year...and Newsweek hasn't gotten any more accurate since then either. :)

Personally, I am glad about the global warming thingy. After the ice age we went through, I am up for some warmer temperatures.

ICE AGE - NEWSWEEK

Last paragraph:

Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

Sound familiar?

If you wonder how the polar bears will survive with global warming, go back to 1000 A.D., when there was global warming deluxe. Seems the bears survived. They are still around today. I think they will do just fine. It was so warm then, Northern England grew vinyards. Grapes need a warm environment. Anyway, agriculture boomed, and there was no mass extinctions. People, even animals, did great. And...no...Greenland wasn't given that name, back then, to trap would-be settlers, either.

They have a job.

Many of these are paid political protesters. They have organizers and PR people and all the other little things that go along with it.

It would be interesting to see the rap sheet on some of these people.

I bet there are some with 15 or more arrests for similar activity and some you will find all spread across the country.

Their organizations fund their travel, books and pamphlets they put out and they are a network that just does not have the body count they did in the VietNam days which was more about people chicken to go put their butts on the line in fighting the war than from the heart anti-war like most wanted you to believe but was plainly just a crock.

Well, let's see. There's always "rent-a-mob" because, you never know when or where the World Bank members are going to meet.

There was a person sporting a giant papier-mache likeness of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and another wearing a similarly oversized mask of President Bush.

If you beat the tar out of them with a stick couldn't you just claim you were thinking candy would come out?
