Buck I said:

It’s gonna be cute to see what’s out there, and what’s said if Hillary wins...

I guess “deranged” is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t remember any Bush1DS either, maybe others do, it’s just a silly term.
Fair point. In hindsight, I must confess to having a touch of CDS back in the early days of Slick Willie. Fortunately we had Rush back in the day whose mantra was: My success is not dependent on who is President. That plus the conservative belief in personal responsibility will temper any manifestation of C2DS should Mizz Rodham get in (not to say there won't be any, but it will be far less than the BDS you see nowadays).
Besides, why blame the President when actually everything can be blamed on Global Warming. :)

Do they not take responsibility for anything in there lives?

(Although it would be convenient to blame my golf game on someone - yeah that's right, it's Bush's fault!)

Let's see, since GW took office, my husband and I have bought our first home, bought a second car, I've given birth to two lovely children, and I guess I can "blame" GW for some of that. He also gave us a few hundred extra dollars in tax breaks for our lovely children, which we do appreciate. Once we took that extra money and bought a new stove/oven because ours was failing. So yes, I blame my ability to bake perfect muffins and not burn every pan on GWB!

Followed the links to the Kos commenters. One uses the name Boadacia,I wonder if that person knows anything about the person whose named he/she is using. The last one (meldoc?)rants about Bush causing his/her mental illness, that apparently existed before he ever heard of George Bush.Typical liberal thinking--look for someone to blame for the problem, instead of looking for a solution to the problem. They really are crazy.Waaaay cool,we got the preview box back- thank you.

When I first stumbled upon the Daily Kos. I thought it was a humor site on the order of the onion. I had no idea that people actually believe and act this way. Once I learned that the people, in fact, are real. I went from laughing at the content to laughing that the people who write the content.

I used to work next door to a small grocery store, where I would wander a couple of times a day to get a snack. The owner was the epitome of Democrat support. I loved to comment on trivial things, like the weather, then tie them into politics. Example, "Sure has been raining a lot lately...never rained like that when the Republicans were in the White House." We had a lot of fun with that gag, and I never saw the man treat anyone any differently regardless of political party.

haha, it’s almost like they believe these people have this control over their lives. These people have lost it.

Of course they do. It's part and parcel to the entitlement ideology that forms such a core part of the Democratic platform these days. If you believe individuals in the government have control over your life, you can easily take the next step, and decide that they should be providing you things in compensation. . .health care, education assistance, blah blah blah.

That guy who smashed up his book shelf, and "...has callouses on my knuckles.." or something like that...

Difficult to imagine how neurotic these people are, or how badly they feel. But easier to understand (and be very wary of) how close to the edge they are. Recent example -- the bloody hands that swooped in on Secretary Rice.

Michelle can probably rattle off dozens more examples, instantly.

I don't remember any Bush1DS either,

BDS is a manifestation of displacement and denial, a lot of people simply can't cope with the knowledge that there are Islamic terrorists who want to kill them, so they deny the threat exists and displace the anxiety on to Bush. There is also the hostility anyone in denial has for those who challenge the denial, which also accounts for the hostility towards Sen. Joe Lieberman.

Consider Dr. Sanity's description of denial's negative consequences:

• In the longer-term, denial requires continued compromises with reality to maintain the pretense that "Everything is fine!" or "If only X would happen, everything would be fine!" Eventually, delusional thinking, along with paranoia and the inevitable conspiracy theories begin to take the place of rational thought in those who deny reality for long periods of time.

• The denier must then place the blame for the unacceptable reality on someone else and that leads to increased conflict between deniers and non-deniers. Efforts to maintain their denial consumes them and will lead them to escalate their anger and rage as their denial becomes untenable and ever more obvious.

• The denier will begin distort language and logic to rationalize and justify their behavior. Eventually, cognitive strategies and rational argument will be abandoned altogether by the denier, because those strategies are not sustainable and are unable to convince others; at which point the person in denial will simply refer to his feelings or emotions as the sole justification.

• The denier will feel justified in acting out against those who threaten the peacefulness of their fantasy.

Is this not exactly what we are seeing happen to many on the Left?

"Bush ruined my marriage" - typical liberal response. Never take responsibility for your own situation. Of course it's somebody else's fault. Everything that happens is somebody else's fault (unless of course, it turns out well and then I can take credit for it)
Did it ever occur to these people that maybe their own actions cheapened marriage?
Sorry - guess I answered my own question.

Oh, my goodness, I just realized how LUCKY I am that Bush didn't ruin my marriage. I mean, my husband and I went to Iraq for our honeymoon, and I couldn't even go into his room to watch a movie with him, let alone get a little action, and WOW, if it wasn't for that damn Booooosh, we wouldn't have even been there in the first place! To echo englishqueen, cry me a bloody river. I've said it before, and it bears repeating. It's all about personal responsibility.

Wonder what the Kos Kids are going to do in '09 when they can't blame all their troubles on President Bush?
